Journeys Within Our Community (JWOC) positively impacts the lives of children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. In 2009, the Collette Foundation funded the building of a community centre with the help of the local community. Here, the children have access to showers and bathrooms, English-speaking classes, as well as dance classes for both children and young adults. The Collette Foundation funded a reed pond for JWOC, which sends oxygen into the gravel and pulls out some of the pollutants as the water travels through. The end result is water that is clean enough to be used and consumed safely by the community. We have also supported JWOC’s Free Classes Programme, which provides disadvantaged students educational opportunities to help them build better futures.
