An In Depth Exploration

Embark on an in-depth journey through Poland. Tour the thriving capital city of Warsaw. Reborn after World War II, it is again one of Europe’s great cultural centers. Walk the meandering lanes of historical Krakow during your Poland travels, where you will see Wawel Castle; once home to the kings of Imperial Poland. The somber history and tragic reality of Auschwitz is unveiled during a moving visit. Behold the Black Madonna Whilst visiting the Jasna Gora Monastery. Discover Polish culture at a folklore dinner and show in Krakow. Make tasty gingerbread in Torun. Stand on the dock where union workers formed the Solidarity Anti-Communist movement in 1980 in Gdansk. The choice is yours in Gdansk: venture to the resort town of Sopot or enjoy a shopping excursion to learn about Polish amber. Explore the ancient city squares and UNESCO World Heritage sites of Torun, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Gdansk, and Krakow.

Great. Everything was organized. I wish the preliminary items were more visual with images and little less Word-document looking.

Our guide was fantastic; we learned so much about the country and its history. I wish we could have stayed longer! I'd never been to Poland before, and this was a great tour/overview of the entire country. I would have liked to spend more time in Krakow and in Auschwitz, but I guess I this just means that I need to go back.
    • The trip of a lifetime...especially if you're Polish descent!

We had a great trip...everything was wonderful, especially our tour guide. My only complaint is that the group was too big (42) to be comfortable. I have traveled with tour groups in the past (including Collette) and find that 20-25 people allows for less waiting time, less problems and more group intimacy.

Visiting the beautiful cities, especially Krakow. The salt mines and Auschwitz was numbingly profound.
    • Poland is an Undiscovered Gem

Fabulous tour and itinerary. Not enough time in each of the cities, there is so much to see. The tour manager was one of the best I've ever had. Krys was awesome! Did not like 3 of the 5 hotels because beds too small, rooms too small (even for Europe), and not user friendly. Too high tub walls to get over for shower, etc etc. Poland is an undiscovered gem! Just loved it - fab food, so much history to learn and hear about, just terrrific!
