We toured much of Poland and from friends who lived in Poland came the assessment that we were visiting all of the most important places. The most memorable experience was Old Warsaw to experience how the area was rebuilt according to the style and structure before being destroyed in the Second World War. It was like being in a time travel capsule.

Loved walking the streets in all of our stops. Felt safe and found it easy to communicate with the Polish people. The hotel in Torun was not up to par with all the other hotels we stayed in. Found the hotels in other cities to be friendly, comfortable and the food delicious and plentiful.

I think every day was my favorite day! Visiting Malbork Castle, the town of Tourun, and seeing the Black Madonna were probably the highlights for me. Although I did enjoy seeing the Baltic Sea where I was amazed to see swans swimming! Oh, and the Salt Mine trip - you have never seen anything like this.

Every single city and tour was spectacular. I think my favorite city was Krakow and Wawel Castle. Malbork Castle was incredible too! My favorite experience was our first welcome to Poland dinner where we were served a traditional Polish meal and had wonderful entertainment from a Polish Folk Group called Lajk Folk. This trip had a good deal of walking but worth every step!

Our Discovering Poland tour with Collette was a wonderful experience. The itinerary enabled us to make a circle of the county and visit its varied regions. The schedule of two days in each city (one in Torun) allowed time for guided sightseeing and a bit of free time. I was impressed by the beauty of the Polish cities, each one containing its own surprises. Too, we were able to visit eight UNESCO World Heritage sites in this one tour. Highlights were the visits to the Częstochowa monastery, the Wieliczka Salt Mine, Malbork castle and discovering unfamiliar Gdansk. The camps at Auschwitz were unforgettable and thought-provoking, outside the bounds of any other travel experience. I must make special mention of our tour director, Monika Slupkowska. She is very knowledgeable about her country, always ready to answer questions or find the answers to them, and a very personable tour leader. The hotel accommodations were excellent and centrally located. We very much enjoyed the meals of local Polish cuisine. I really gained a great deal of knowledge about Poland through this tour. I would certainly consider a Collette tour for future travel.

Our guide, ***********, was excellent. Hotels were in good locations, but the rooms were not comfortable. Our time in Czestochowa was much too long and our guide useless. Because we were there so long, our time in Krakow was limited. There should have been an additional day in Krakow. We wasted a lot of time at lunch after visiting Auschwitz. The city guides were good, in particular, ****** in Krakow The bus was very comfortable. The gingerbread baking could have been eliminated Breakfasts in all hotels were very good

Fabulous tour and itinerary. Not enough time in each of the cities, there is so much to see. The tour manager was one of the best I've ever had. Krys was awesome! Did not like 3 of the 5 hotels because beds too small, rooms too small (even for Europe), and not user friendly. Too high tub walls to get over for shower, etc etc. Poland is an undiscovered gem! Just loved it - fab food, so much history to learn and hear about, just terrrific! Every city has something unique to offer visitors.

It seems you can't get a tour that actually gives you extra days in some if not all cities just for some real on your own time or free days. It's too rushed and you don't have the free time that you think you have.

All hotels were better than expected except for the Art Hotel in Krakow. Although this hotel had a very favorable location, its customer service was inadequate. CNN was not available and the A/C was not functioning at all when the weather was unusually hot. When a complaint was registered with the hotel staff regarding the non-functioning A/C, we were told it was performing as expected. That meant that they did not intend to do anything about it.

It was better than what I had anticipated. However it would be better if the tour manager was more considerate. The tour manager let one particular couple seated at the same seat (first row up front) in the bus thru the whole tour. There were no physical disability on this couple -- (being selfish not to share its seat) not letting anyone else sit of where they sit! My favorite was Krakow -- lots to see and do!

Poland is a wonderful country just lifting itself from the yoke of Communism. The last of the combatant countries from WW2 to start to rebuild itself it is alive with memories of that conflict. It has a much greater history than that and this now being portrayed sympathetically.

This was my favorite trip with any travel company. It was well planned and coordinated. The guide was excellent as were the city tour guides and the bus driver. The guide was well informed and provided information regarding the country's history and current events. My most memorable experience would have to be the continuous beauty of the country as we traveled through it. That being said, I would also say seeing how much this country has been through and recovered from is absolutely amazing.

Our favorable experience was our tour guide, She was born in Poland and was involved with the solidarity movement. She was outstanding. Her description of her personnel experiences and knowledge of that period of history added immensely to the overall tour. Being of Polish heritage, I became even more proud of my background. Several tour stops stood out. We especially loved each city square, the solidarity museum and the salt mine. The tours of the concentration camps were also memorable, if only to keep us aware of this period of history, so that nothing like this ever happens again.
