Time in Paris too short. The excursion dinner for local flavor was horrible. The tour group was led to a basement which looked like a cave while the restaurant upstairs was set up lovely with not one guest while we were there. $110.00 wasted when I could have been shopping or doing something else.

Reversed tour . The local guide was not beneficial. The dinner excursion in Paris was horrible and a waste of $110. The time in London was more beneficial and memorable. The local guide in London was fantastic!

The dedication of our tour manager, Sharon Peniman, was very didicated and conscientious with a wonderful sense of humor. Both of our hotels in London and Paris were very nice and in great locations. All of the included meals were delicious. The itinerary was packed with all the sights we wanted to see and things we wanted to do with just enough free time to explore a little.

Great tour and local guides!

Becky went above and beyond. Helped me with making a local call and then spoke with the airline on my behalf due to problem with lost luggage. She was incredible patient with somewhat trying group members, yet managed to nake things fun for all of us. -Very infomative. Local guides were also superb. - One needed to read audience a little better...too detailed on objects d'art at Louvre, but very knowledgeable for those who were interested in that information. Local guide in London (Georgie) was a hoot. Highly entertaining and great at her job.

The tour was fabulous! We crammed in many major attractions in one week. -Could never have done this individually. The group admission was incredibly helpful. We also received admission to really tough to get to places like dinner on the Eiffel Tower and Versailles.- Line at Versailles was about 1/4 mile, (no lie) but we had timed group admission.

The tour guide was excellent, hotels were great as was the food. Within one-two weeks of our departure we had the trip to Versailles cancelled due to lack of interest and were also told the Churchill War Rooms was not available. We booked Versailles on our own through the hotel we were told we would be staying at only to find out after we arrived in Europe that our Paris hotel had been changed. Fortunately our tour guide, Greg, intervened and had the private tour company pick us up at our new hotel. The local tour guide in London secured the Churchill War Rooms tickets for us so we were able to do that. If it hadn't been for Greg I think this trip would have been a disaster!

I had most of my tour planning via BUCKET LIST TOURS, and using the online portal application. Jena Morga of Bucket List Tours is A-#1. I had one occasion to call customer service at COLLETTE TOURS and spoke to Sandra Estrada, who was so exceptional and patient with me, giving that I actually send an e-mail to her supervisor to let her know.

This was my first tour ever, so I judged my ability to go and enjoy it based on the fact that it was rated as a '2' in terms of steps and stairs, because I walk with a cane. Maybe if the coach hadn't broken down in front of Mayor of London's house so we walked in the rain to Buckingham Palace and later did the Westminster Abbey tour after being picked up by new bus. The trek to Buckingham was more of a sprint than a walk (I guess due to the rain). A fellow tourist with a 'fit-bit' app announced later on the replacement coach that we had walked 7,780 steps, plus whatever we walked on the Abbey tour. Not a fan of the hotel, at all. Loved, loved, loved Paris. Loved the hotel, loved the Paradis Latin, Eiffel Tower, the opportunity to photograph Arc d'Triumph up close and personal. The Louvre!!!!! Loved the food in London, Windsor, and Paris! Great people in our group; they were thoughtful, kind, helpful and understanding of my physical challanges. Ambulating was way easier in Paris. I even took a taxi that waited for me while I shopped for a carry-on bag. Loads of great information, both historical and cultural, afforded to us by the local tour guides. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, even attracting strays from other tour groups, due to the consistancy with, and obvious love of, the history and art that I have studied and/or absorbed via PBS and other specials on British and French history, culture, and art. The average rating for the accommodations is due to the fact that I was not at all happy with the London hotel. The security staff seemed menacing to me., and would not respond to questions, only poiinting or using a shooing hand gestures. The water dispenser on our floor was out of order, and the houseman filling pitchers for other rooms on my floor totally ignored my request to have my pitcher filled. Finally had to buy from restaurant. The elevatores kept breaking down... thank goodness one-at-a-time. The Marriot lived up to its name, reputation and more.

Two great cities, not a lot included, needed more days.

I enjoyed London and Paris. I liked only having two hotels. I liked the included breakfast every morning. The panoramic tours are a nice introduction to the cities but we should have stopped in some of those places to actually tour it. I think both cities could have had at least one more day. I purchased an extra day in London but not Paris. Even with the extra day in London I feel it was a short and rushed trip. I also was a little disappointed that more wasn’t included in the tour. We were right at the Tower of London and no tour was included. I felt there were several things, in London especially, that could have been added....Greenwich, Covent Gardens, The London Eye, The Shard, Kensington, Stonehenge, a River cruise, etc. I think a little more was included in Paris but more could have been included there as well. A free day for shopping would have been nice. The dinner at the Eiffel Tower and river cruise was the best! The Louvre was on strike while we were there so our tour director took us to Mountmartre. I think that was a great choice. We wouldn’t have gone there otherwise. Also since Norte Dame was closed it would have been nice to have included Saint Chappell. Overall I loved seeing both cities. I would recommend this tour but with the suggestions of 1. Adding more days to each city and 2. Being prepared to pay for lots of extra excursions if you truly want to tour places.

We did this for a fundraiser for the Auxiliary at the hospital! Collette was so supportive with the promotional material all the way to the end of the trip! We absolutely loved our tour guide, Molly Cashen! She was the best! Would recommend anything that she is the tour guide of! Our trip was a short week for London and Paris but we saw a lot in that time! Location of hotel in London was great , right by the London Tower! The one thing I would recommend is a new location for Paris. The Marriott was a great hotel but the location not so much.

This is my second trip with Collette. Everything from making the reservation to dropping us off at home afterward was wonderful. They even ordered up perfect weather for the trip.🌸🌸 accommodations were excellent. On a side noted we saw Notre-Dame on Apr 2nd and it burned on Apr 13th. After 850 years of history to be one of the last ones to see it left me with a pit in my stomach. I highly recommend Collette.

Well organized tour with a nice personal touch.

The tour manager was always helpful, well organized, and provided individual attention to all members of the tour. The evening dinners and shows were great choices. The only negative was the Marriott Rive Gauche. The location is too far from central Paris and it was ill equipped to handle problems. Our cramped room was stuffy and hot without a window that opened. The technician couldn't fix the problem, and the best the front desk would do was to offer us a fan. Three nights of discomfort. Overall, however, it was a wonderful trip and we would choose Collette again.

Local tour guides were excellent. La Paradis Latin and the Evening in Paris restaurant in the Latin Quarter were highlights. We loved time to browse on our own. The Grange City Hotel in London was fantastic in every way. If we were rating this hotel alone, the score below would be excellent. The score of the Diva Gauche would be poor.

The reason I gave a four star rating is because some things could have been done better, but overall, I did enjoy the tour, and would purchase another tour from Collette. I was disappointed with the photo opportunities in London provided by the local tour guide. Example: we were given the chance to take a picture of the roof of the church were Prince Charles and Princess Diana married, but not a chance to take a photo of the front of the church. Also, no chance to take frontal pictures of Buckingham Palace, only picture from the side. We did, however, have a chance to see a parade of the guards. Paris, I did not really enjoy the Palace of Versailles. Would have liked a chance to photo Champs-Elysees famous arch.

There was no meet and greet the first night and the people didn't wear their name tags{maybe just for two days] .I don't think he melted with us,appeared too anxious.

The trip was wonderful, and the lodgings were very nice. I would have given a 4 or 5 star except for the travel guide. I am glad you are asking for confidential review, as I felt a little intimidated to give the reviews directly to the travel guide at end of trip with our names on them. We were often rushed, and treated like little children. When there were changes in the program, the communication was very poor by the guide. On the night of the dinner at the Eiffel Tower, we literally had to run to get to dinner, and then "run" to get to the river boat cruise for the evening. This was due to the bus driver being caught in traffic, and it was not only very uncomfortable, but not very safe in my opinion. Several of us in the group really are not able to run well. This was my first trip to Europe, and nothing to compare to, but felt as though there could have been oportunity for bathroom breaks or even explanations of what to expect regarding bathroom breaks. The local guides were great regarding this, but not the Tour guide.

Book tours well ahead, or you will pay extra or get left behind.

We have travelled with Collette at least four times. Until this trip we were 100 percent satisfied. We don’t appreciate the vagueness of the plans. We were told upon arrival that the tour to the Louvre, as well as the tour of Versailles was already filled. Nowhere on our brochure did it say that booking tours way ahead of time was necessary. Everyday had us waiting for a bus that was very late, yet we were made to feel rushed, a whole lot of hurry up and wait. Our tour guides were all good, but having to pay extra for a tour of Versailles wasn’t in our plans.

Tour director was fabulous. Hotels and food was excellent. The group was a great bunch. The pick up service was bad. In France there was no one there to meet me. Fortunately the baggage handler was over and above. We waited an hour for someone to show up, called the hotel (I don't speak a word of French) so asking was not an option because no one there spoke English except the baggage handler. He stayed with me an hour and then got me a taxi. Bad experience. No one at Orlando airport either but called twice and he finally came.

the tour was fantastic but the directions were questionable, consequently missed the bus in London. Loved the architecture of France and England. Harrods was wonderful. The food was great.

Great first trip - just the highlights.

Everything went smoothly, from airline reservations to hotel. There was one little glitch - for some reason Collette booked our hotel room(s) as a double - twin beds - but the front desk at Grange City caught it and asked if we had wanted two beds and it was changed. Not a big deal.

We could have used more time at each stop at the landmarks, but that is not Collette's fault - the traffic in London was horrendous and it just seemed to take extra time to get anywhere. Our guide, Jeff Mullen, was knowledgeable, affable and patient. Our local guide in Paris, Natalie was fun and knowledgeable, as well. Nothing to do with Collette, but if the climate continues the way it is, I would not go again in mid-July. It was unpleasantly hot and when there were crowds, most attractions, it was miserable having to stand in line and wait (at Versailles, for an hour), even though we had group priority. I would have liked to been able to stop at the Arc de Triomphe and take some pictures. Not sue if why we didn't was due to time constraints and traffic or they just don't normally stop there - I think that should have definitely been a landmark we would have liked to have seen other than from a moving bus.l

The booking process through Collette was smooth, however, when our flight got delayed coming home it was only then that we found out that there were other flight options. While booking the trip I think they should’ve given me all flight options, no matter the price, and let me chose because the flight they gave us was 3 hours longer than another one available. Also, when we were trapped in a neighboring state Collette gave us no assistance to get home besides offering a taxi that would’ve literally cost over $250.

The trip was lovely and my tour guide, Becky, would receive 20 stars if I could give that to her! The only reason why I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because my mom and I had to add extra days in order to experience some of the things you only drive by during the actual tour. For example, Collette drives by the Tower of London and if we hadn’t booked an extra day we wouldn’t have had time to go in it and see the Crown Jewels. Also the hotel in Paris was REALLY hot and uncomfortable; everyone thought the air conditioning was broken but it wasn’t! In contrast, everything about the London hotel was perfect; they were so hospitable and the location was beyond convenient. Nevertheless, my mom and I are in the process of booking a second trip through Collette so they did something right!

I've been on Collette vacations before and this time I was just not as impressed. A couple of our tour events were cancelled in London due to certain closures which were beyond Collette's control, however, this was disappointing. The hotel, Marriott Rive Gauche, in Paris was horrible as there was no air conditioning. We had to switch rooms and still no air. Room key function was cancelled several times so had to get new keys 3 different times. This caused us to be late in getting ready for activities with the group. Breakfasts were just average with dining area not being cleaned up so as to seat others from our group as they came. Not enough planned activities in London.

Nice and modern hotels, although I would have preferred a more accesible one in Paris. The food at the English Pub was bland, and the service was not the best. All other food experiences were very nice and fun. The transportation was excellent, as well as all the tour guides. Our Collette guide was on top of everything, and made our tour run smoothly.

excursion trips are not up-to-date as mentioned in the brochure. Tour Manager was not very personable but distant, always in a hurry I and several other customers felt as if we are on a race track. Very well organized. Took the stress out of traveling. Picked us up at the airport in Paris. Arranged everything for the train ride from Paris to London. Luggage was taken care of. Tour excursions took us to the front of the line. Had great local tour guides. Places to eat that were arranged was fantastic. Got to eat dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. Can't wait for my next vacation. Will use Collette again. Referred them to my co-workers and friends. One co-worker already booked his vacation through Collette.

London hotel was great! Paris was not so good. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy. Did not want to walk around the neighborhood at night. Most memorable was the cruise on the Seine River and the Eiffel Tower lighting up.

The Collette tour to London/Paris was our first one with the company. We were delighted with all aspects of the tour: the hotels, the transportation, the sites to see, the tour guide and local guides.

Our local tour guide for London got us to the front of seeing the old guard, band, and horses, marching from the guard-changing. I never thought I'd be able to see any of it, having seen the crowds, and being 5'3"! Loved our tours to Notre Dame and Versailles with our local guide in Paris. She was fabulous and so knowledgeable.

The door-to-door was great. The tour itself was hectic at times, and the tour director didn't always seem to have control over his group. We saw the sights as promised, which were good, the locations of our hotels were great, and the restaurants, bistros and pubs fantastic. However, this tour out of all of our Collette tours was just not as organized. All in all enjoyable but not as good as others.

Tour promise lived up to. 2nd trip with Collette and same experience; switched hotels at last minute and 2nd option in Paris was not good.

We had planned extra days post tour in London based on the hotel we were slated to stay at, they switched hotels. Sub par hotel, and location.Would have loved more free time post visits to site. We had hours to kill and were not allowed just a few minutes to explore around the exhibits, such as gift shops or neighboring villages.Tour manager was sympathetic but claimed he had no flexibility due lease time on our bus.

Collette was always available while we had trouble with airlines and baggage. They were in contact with transportation from airport when we were delayed and did not abandon us. Tour manager constant looking for our luggage. Kept us informed about where to be, what to do, and flights back home. After return continued help on lost luggage and insurance reimbursemant. Other than luggage (airline issue) great trip.

The hotels were very nice but so far from the areas we would have liked to tour that it was an $120 cab ride back one evening. The entrance to the tube in London was out of the way and we couldn't find it until the last night preventing us from exploring the city as we had planned as first time visitors.

Upon landing in London at midnight, there was a driver waiting for us and this was much appreciated as our flight had been rebooked. The guide did a great job of dealing with everyone and made sure all was going right.

Felt that an addt day in London and an addt day in Paris would of been beneficial and given us a chance to do more sightseeing. Seemed a little too rushed. The hotel in Paris was nice but I was disappointed as I had brought my granddaughter to Europe for her first trip and we had NO view from our hotel room window. Hotel in London was a good choice and their breakfast was wonderful. The breakfast in Paris was just ok; would of preferred to eat in the dining room of the hotel like we did in London. Have traveled with Collette before and would travel with them again.

The US group was most accommodating in assisting me with before and after tour arrangements. The only issue I have is that I was not advised that my personal rewards from my hotel rewards partners would not apply until I received my travel documents at which time it was too late to do anything about it. I could have reserved my Marriott Paris hotel myself and received my credits as well as my upgrades that apply for membership.

Paris accommodations left something to be desired. Our tour guide, Ms. Bisbash, was excellent and despite being ill, gave everyone first class service. She called us all by name and accommodated everyone's needs as best possible. I did think the "tour" would be more than a drive by of most of the areas. Fortunately, we had enough free time to go back and see most of the highlights we breezed past.

Our tour guide was great. The guides from Paris and London were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Our complaint is explained below.

We thought we would have time to see each of the places mentioned on the tour guide. However, we just drove by and never stopped. There is no way we would have been able to go back to the places on our own. There just wasn't time when you consider the amount of time it would take to get back to those places. We were already there on the tour bus. Getting off for 10 or 15 minutes would have at least given us the feeling that we had seen those places.
