Europe's WWII Sites Draw Veterans' Families And History Buffs

Today, these veterans are now in their 90s and 100s. Many have passed, others aren't travelling anymore. But now another wave of visitors interested in World War II history is arriving on the European continent.

Increasingly, these veterans’ adult children, adult grandchildren and now great grandchildren (and even great, great grandchildren) desire to visit the World War II-era sites across Europe, particularly to see where their relative fought or served during the war. Or, it's a way to honour and remember soldiers who fought on both sides, as well as innocent civilians, often of Jewish descent, who were killed or executed during the conflict. Read More.
