The Coronavirus is having a very limited impact on the ability for guests to travel to destinations that Collette offers tours to worldwide, with the exception of China. At this point, we’ve contacted all guests scheduled to depart to China through the end of April 2020 and given remaining guests travelling through the end of August the opportunity to move over to China departures for later in the year, or another tour and destination of their choice. If you have travel scheduled to China, and have questions regarding this, please call your local travel agent or 800.340.5158.
Beyond China, Collette is following the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other critical sources to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and employees. As such, for the majority of travelers, the CDC does not recommend cancelling or postponing any travel on tours in destinations we visit outside of China. We will continue to monitor ongoing developments, and will update all guests should anything affect their upcoming travel plans.
All tours will continue to operate as planned at this time. For Collette guests who have purchased Collette’s Travel Protection Plan, cancellations for any reason up until the day of the departure will be honored.
For the vast majority of destinations worldwide, recommendations are to follow the normal precautions you would apply for any travel; avoid contact with sick people, avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20-seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60% - 95% alcohol.
