August 09, 2021

The US-Canada border, which has been closed for over a year, is opening back up in August! According to Afar Magazine, America’s neighbor to the north will be allowing fully vaccinated U.S. citizens into the country as of August 9! Folks from the rest of the world will be allowed to travel to Canada starting September 7.

We have tours visiting Canada as soon as August 2021, taking travelers coast-to-coast. From the glistening turquoise waters of Lake Louise to the bold, glowing lights of cosmopolitan Toronto, there’s a destination sure to charm any traveler. Take a look at four of our favorite tours to Canada, all with available departure dates in 2021.

Canadian Rockies featuring Rocky Mountaineer

All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for two days of breathtaking views by train. Dense forests, snowcapped peaks, and rushing river canyons are all up-close and personal rolling down the rails from within the glass dome coach or outdoor viewing area. After leaving the train, take in the stark contrast between the forest greens of the trees, icy blue lake and greys and white of the mighty Victoria Glacier surrounding the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Cross the largest accumulation of ice south of the Arctic Circle at Athabasca Glacier. Absorb nature’s wonders from Vancouver to Calgary.

Maritimes Coastal Wonders

Take a deep breath of crisp, salty ocean air and hear the waves crash against rocky shorelines in the fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. Compete against fellow travelers in a culinary battle to find who can prepare the best PEI mussels. Gaze out over crystal blue ocean along the winding Cabot Trail. Embrace the enchantment of the nautical beauty in the Canadian Maritimes.

The Best of Eastern Canada

Feel the spray of the powerful rushing waters of Niagara Falls. Venture off the beaten path to a family-owned sugar shack nestled in the countryside to learn the sweet traditions of maple-syrup making. Walk the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal. Cruise past some of the nearly 2,000 islands on a boat tour down the St. Lawrence River. From picturesque countryside and glistening skyscrapers, unforgettable moments await in Eastern Canada.

Western Canada’s Rockies, Lakes & Wine Country

Team up with ranchers in search of buffalo with the sky-high Canadian Rockies as your backdrop. Stop in the celebrated wine region of Okanagan Valley and bite into fresh seasonal produce with a farmer at a local orchard. Hop into a sightseeing mountain gondola and snap the perfect photo with a bird’s-eye view of the animals, jutting mountain peaks, and icy waters of Lake Louise. The views and culture are equally as welcoming in gorgeous Western Canada.
