Pawtucket, RI (December 15, 2022) – Collette’s Tuscan and Umbrian Countryside small group Explorations tour gives travelers the experience of enjoying an authentic homecooked Italian meal. On day five of the tour, travelers stop into an Umbrian home for a home-hosted lunch, stories, and a binding experience with a local family.

When asked about the most enjoyable aspect of the tour, multiple Collette travelers cited the meal as something they’d always appreciate. “If I had to choose only one or two things, the truffle hunt was fabulous as was the luncheon we had at a charming couple’s home,” said traveler Donna H. of Boynton Beach, Florida. “The home cooked meal was unique and tasty. All the food on the trip was great,” echoed Jeannine M. of Desert Hot Springs, California.

Aside from the home-hosted lunch, travelers will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy Italian culture during the 11-day tour. They’ll have the chance to take a hands-on cooking class in a 12th-century abbey, pay a visit to the village of Bagno Vignoni and behold its water-filled piazza, and spend three nights in a restored Tuscan villa. Seats on the tour are available as early as March 25, 2023, with prices starting at $2,749 USD pp.

“Italy is one of Collette’s top trending destinations as we head into 2023,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, President and Chief Brand Officer at Collette. “Our travelers enjoy the rich Italian culture as well as the fantastic food throughout the nation. Collette’s small group Explorations tours give travelers the chance to take a deeper dive into that culture and get the most out of their trip.”
