Pawtucket, RI (May 6, 2024) – Collette reminds travelers that they can explore the less-traveled parts of the Mediterranean with guided small-group experiences in regions such as Turkey, Morocco, and the Balkans.

“When travelers think of the Mediterranean, they envision areas like the French Riviera, Amalfi Coast, and Greek Islands,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, chief executive officer at Collette. “Collette aims to open the guidebook beyond that. Travelers can gain a new perspective by exploring these destinations with our Explorations tours. These are tours designed specifically for smaller groups and include experiences geared towards the lower number of travelers.”

On “Treasures of Turkey,” travelers will visit Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul, with a skyline that seamlessly blends Oriental and Western elements. Along the way, they’ll learn about and explore a network of routes as they’re guided along the Ancient Silk Road where not only spices and silks were traded, but also culture and traditions. Plus, they’ll explore one of the most impressive archeological complexes left from the Greco-Roman times. Travelers can secure their seat on the tour as early as September 12, 2024, with prices starting at $4,699 USD pp.

Highlights of the “Colors of Morocco” 15-day itinerary includes riding through the Sahara Desert in a 4x4 Jeep before spending two nights at a desert camp, visiting a UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait-Ben-Haddou, and taking an interactive cooking class at a women’s cooperative in Marakech. Travelers can secure their seat on Collette’s “Colors of Morocco” tour with departures as early as September 22, 2024 with prices starting at $3,899 USD pp.

Some highlights of the 16-day “A Taste of the Balkans” Explorations journey include, traveling by small ship to the islet of Our Lady of the Rocks in Montenegro, enjoying a home-hosted dinner in a Bosnian home, sampling klepe and burek, and choosing between exploring the Dubrovnik city walls or taking a cable car ride. Seats on “A Taste of the Balkans” are still available as early as June 8, 2024, for prices starting at $3,999 USD pp.
