I enjoyed so many of the stops on this tour, there is no way to choose just one.

I wasn’t happy with the quality of hotels as we got further into the tour. I also did Egypt. Rhonda, the tour guide, was outstanding. The hotels met my expectations. In Israel the hotels didn’t offer dinner. Many places were closed. The cable television didn’t work at a couple of your hotels from the same family. Artist something, or other, was the name. Bottle water was not provided on the desert tour, in the 4x4. There was one large container filled with water, from God knows where. We didn’t have an elegant farewell dinner. We were offered a farewell drink, or told we could go out and about and find something. I couldn’t get an iron anywhere in Israel. I was told to go to another floor with a common area and use that iron. When I left Egypt for Jordan, the Collette Assistant at the airport took off with my passport for about 25 minutes. I had no idea where he was nor if he was coming back. He left my luggage unattended on the other side of the airport. I was afraid. There are more examples, but i’ll stop here.

This tour was well constructed, covering important sites in both Jordan and Israel. Our Cairo extension was too brief, but we were happy to see the Egyptian Museum and spend the second day at Giza. Our tour managers/guides and drivers were absolutely outstanding: Joseph in Cairo, Hussam in Jordan, and Laura Ilan in Egypt. We loved the beautiful hotels with amazing breakfast buffets. Memorable experiences were the home-hosted meals in Jordan and Israel.

While there are always going to be some unforeseen problems with any tour, there were so few, and the guides were so adept at solving them, that I can only give a full thumbs up to the tour. The accommodations were exceptional, the locations forever memorable, and the interaction with the local people thoroughly delightful. We are so happy to have taken this tour, and since it is our first with Colette, will certainly look for more.
