Know before you goWhile just about any month is great to visit Croatia and Slovenia, there are a few prime times of the year for the Discover Croatia, Slovenia and the Adriatic Coast tour. Here are some recommendations from our destination experts.
Spring: Spring is a wonderful time to visit Croatia and Slovenia with charming towns waking up from a winter slumber. Plitvice Lakes National Park is beautiful in springtime with blooming wildflowers and higher water levels. Enjoy the region’s bounty of seasonal fruits and vegetables such as asparagus, artichokes, and strawberries.
Summer: With beautiful weather, summer is a great time visit and enjoy the outdoors. Summer in Croatia can be very hot, so it’s an ideal time of year to enjoy coastal areas or perhaps some swimming.
Fall: In autumn, temperatures start to go down, just like the crowds. The sea is still warm, the foliage begins to turn, and some of the finest seasonal products such as olive oil are ready to be tasted. October is the best time to visit Plitvice Lakes as the crowds are smaller and nature’s colors are incredible.
