At a very leisurely pace, this tour involves minimal physical activity, such as climbing some stairs, boarding a motorcoach, and walking from the hotel reception area to hotel rooms and dining areas.
This tour requires average physical activity. You should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances, possibly over uneven ground and cobblestoned streets.

Some of the touring days may be longer, with select included activities occurring later in the evening.
This tour is very active, requiring participants to be physically fit to fully enjoy all the experiences. This itinerary has more strenuous activities which may include such things as: extensive walking tours, transfers over uneven and dusty terrain, high altitudes, early morning departures, late night activities, or extreme temperatures. A relaxed trip to Ireland with Collette tours.
-
ServiceCollette was the complete package. It allowed us to take a worry free vacation while visiting a country of my Wife's ancestry. We were concerned at first that we would not get a lot out of the trip and never traveling with Collette before we found out how wrong we were. I even took an at home course on Celtic History to be more aware of Ireland. Not that the course was a waste of time but so much of what I learned was repeated by our very knowledgeable tour manager and the individual tour guides arranged by Collette. We stayed at the best hotels and ate at only proven restaurants. All this and we still had enough free time to enjoy places and people on our own. If you are traveling and just want to relax check with Collette first.
-
TourKelarny and the ring of Kerry. The town was interesting and enjoyable. The tour of the ring of Kerry included all the vistas imaginable with stops along the way to make the trip memorable.

Great tour manager and tour
-
ServiceErin was an awesome tour manager. Well informed, always available, very professional yet she felt like a wonderful friend. We stayed in nice hotels, stayed busy and made the most of our time there.
-
TourLoved the optional medieval dinner and loved staying in the castle the last evening.
-
-
-
ServiceI was picked up on time, from and to home, from the airport to the hotel. Our guide was fantastic. The program was well space, with a lot of new experiences every day.
-
TourThe location of the hotel was central, well located in Dublin, the best was the one night stay in a castle.
-
-
-
ServiceThe most concern to us was the end of trip, we had to arrange transportation back to the airport at Dublin from Kingscourt. We were not informed of this until we asked, and the problem of not receiving our trip package.
-
TourCliffs of Moher, could have spent more time there.
Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Shades of Ireland tour. When purchasing your own airfare, transfers are not an included service. Our records indicate we added a departure transfer to your reservation in July 2019.

Well worth the effort.
-
ServiceTour Director and coach driver were first class, which also might describe the hotel and meals as well. The tour touched all the spots first time visitors should experience and still left enough on your own time to get away on our own, although the group we went with were all great companions.

ServiceYes, I would recommend Collette. I took the Ireland tour with our Senior Center and expected 9 days packed with every Irish experience possible in a safe way. Our Coach Driver, Ronan, was a superb driver in every situation. Our schedule filled the days with several experiences and our tour guide Anita made sure we were expected at each stop.
-
TourProbably my favorite part of the tour was staying the night at Cabra Castle. The dinner was superb and our rooms were laid out as if we were staying in the actual castle. The grounds were a fairy tale princess setting and I was enchanted the entire time.
-
-
Itinerary was choppy and schedule was chaotic and sometimes confusing.
-
ServiceThings were rather chaotic. Arrived and had to wait over 2 hrs. to get into my room when others had their rooms right away. We were told times to be at the bus, then those times changed. Same with breakfast and putting out luggage. Lots of down time especially the day of the distillery tour and nothing to do as we were no where near anything BUT the distillery. Lots of walking and LOTS of older people who had trouble walking. Tour guide refused to wear a uniform and was hard to identify at times. Bus driver was great and VERY professional. I love Ireland and have been there before. This was certainly NOT the best trip. On the coach, we had assigned seats. They said it was to meet new people. BUT we always sat with the same person and near the same people. I feel we should be able to sit wherever we want to sit and with whomever we want to. I certainly met no one new with the seating arrangement other than the person sitting beside me. AND, we sat beside each other the entire time.
-
TourI really enjoyed the time in Killarney where the location allowed us to walk and go places during free time. In Limmerick, however, we were near nothing.
Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Shades of Ireland tour. We're sorry to hear about the issues you experienced while on tour with us. Your feedback will be reviewed by the Product Design Team in order to improve the overall touring experience for our guests.

Why We Loved Ireland with Collette
-
ServiceHere are the top ten reasons we loved Ireland with Collette: 10. The schedule and flow of activities. It was nice to have so many planned and unplanned options to choose from. 9. The accommodations were lovely and centrally located. We easily explored on our own without concern about getting lost or feeling unsafe. 8. Our tour mates were fantastic. We enjoyed making so many new friends and truly felt like they were just an extension of our family by the time the tour concluded. 7. The food quality and service was amazing! Whether it was at restaurants selected by Collette or places we chose on our own, it was so much fun trying new dishes. 6. The flexibility in our bus seat assignments. It was exciting to discover Ireland through various perspectives, and we were given ample time to stop for breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime photos. 5. The expertise of the local guides – whether it was a walking tour, carriage ride or boat excursion, we found each guide to be knowledgeable and engaging. 4. The shopping….oh my goodness, I loved the shopping. We returned home with gifts for the family, but more importantly, we each made a purchase at Moriarity’s that we’ll always treasure. 3. The Guinness and the Irish coffees – it’s true that they both taste better in Ireland, and we couldn’t agree more. While we enjoying visiting local Irish pubs near our home, they don’t measure up to the real thing. 2. Barry Hanley, our bus driver – he was so polite and helpful and greeted us daily with a big smile. His driving ability, however, is off the charts. There wasn’t a day he didn’t surprise us by maneuvering the bus in the tightest locations. He was so awesome, we dubbed him #BarryGetsItDone. And the #1 reason we loved Ireland with Collette??? Our incredible tour guide, John Fitzgibbon! What to say about John?? He’s professional, polished and absolutely endearing. His knowledge is so impressive, but not only about the various cities and landmarks which are part of the tour, but all the little Easter eggs he speckled throughout with recommendations of books and movies about the areas we were visiting. He took such great care of everyone and did so with a smile and an easy laugh. We loved his quick sense of humor, his genuine friendliness, and the laundry list of suggestions he offered to make the overall experience more memorable. John had tips about everything: from getting in line to kiss the Blarney Stone to how to manage the airport when heading for home. He is an absolute jewel, and we truly loved having him at the helm for our first Collette tour! He MADE out trip everything we expected and more. In route to the airport after learning of our engagement, he even wrote a limerick. Who does that?! John does! What a treasure you have with him!

A once in a lifetime experience
-
ServiceIt was a trip of a lifetime! Dave (our tour guide) did an amazing job explaining the history of Ireland and all its places while Nick (our driver) was fantastic too! Everywhere we went was full of life and excitement. From the City of Dublin to the Ring of Kerry and Cliffs of Mohrer. I have already recommended Collette to several people.
-
TourDave was a great tour guide. He took us to some amazing places and I learned a lot about the history of Ireland.
-
-
Beautiful scenery
-
ServiceDave was an excellent tour guide; we stayed in very nice hotels; had time to explore on our own; enjoyed the Waterford tour; wonderful Irish music, friendly people, beautiful country, great local guides, liked having optional excursions
-
TourGreat tour guides were very informative; the scenery was spectacular; people were very friendly; music was very enjoyable; liked having optional excursions

-
ServiceOur tour guide, Sean, and driver JP, were exceptional and truly made the difference in this trip.
-
TourWhen we arrived in Dublin, I thought the historical walk and tour guide (retired garda) was amazing. However, when we went out into the rest of southern Ireland, the scenery and people were spectacular. Sean's knowledge of the history of Ireland gave us such a solid base of understanding. My husband and I so enjoyed this trip. I love hearing about the history and Sean and PJ answered any and every question we put to them. An exceptional Collette team (Sean and PJ) made for an exceptional trip!
-
-
I wrote it above...
-
ServiceYes - Shades of Ireland - well-planned, fine tour guide and bus driver - beautiful scenery...

Fabulous adventure in Ireland!
-
ServiceWe had a fabulous time on this adventure. Our guide Sarah and bus driver Tom were both fantastic! The tour covered all the highlights and it gave us a good sampling of Ireland. Now we know exactly where we might like to revisit and spend some time. For anyone looking for a comprehensive tour of Ireland this is the tour to take.
-
TourThere were so many memorable experiences on this journey. Kissing the Blarney stone, visiting the historic churches and castles. Staying at Cabra Castle (I highly recommend staying an additional night. It was such a fabulous place), the cliffs of Moher, our horse drawn carriage ride in Killarney. The list goes on and on...
-
-
-
ServiceHelped me before and after formal tour. Showed compassion and caring along with efficiency and effectiveness
-
TourFavorite experience was actor/singer in Derry, arrangement of High tea in Derry and staying in haunted castle on last night. Of course the cliffs and Giants Causway are standards but they knew the little special secret spots.
-
-
Comfortable & picturesque tour of the perimeter of Ireland--wonderful!
-
ServiceTook care of everything--even trip to & from airport! Guide Sarah was superb, knowledgeable, organized & efficient. Saw & experienced so much culture & scenery, well detailed history & tips for our best experience in the next town. Hotels were gorgeous & quaint, top notch everything.

TourFabulous guide Sarah, comfortable coach, interesting adventures, beautiful inns, manors & castles. Saw & experienced a majority of Ireland. Great tips along the way to make our stops most memorable. Explores cute towns, climbed beautiful cliffs, drank our share of Irish Coffee & beer! Wonderful variety of events & experiences. Landscape dotted with sheep, gorgeous homes & pounding turquoise blue seas were spectacular. Extremely informative narration & fun times.

-
TourOutstanding selection of sites, each more memorable than the next.
-
-
-
ServiceOur tour manager, Kim Durham, was superb. We were an older group with some infirmities and some whining, and she was a rock star - kind, patient, funny, and encouraging.
-
TourThe Mural Walk in Derry was so powerful, exactly what I had been hoping to experience by choosing a tour that included Northern Ireland. My husband and I walked the blocks and stopped at each mural, taking photos, reading the descriptions in our guidebook. The opportunity for some free time so that we could take this in at our own pace was so appreciated!
-
-
Outstanding trip!
-
ServiceEverything was excellent. I would like maybe a little more time, hours that is, at some of the exhibits. The coach driver was excellent as was our guide, both were friendly and customer oriented and the guide was exceptional in all phases of the trip.

-
TourLoved the Irish House Party dinner and entertainment for our first night in Dublin. Also liked the stop at the sheep farm on the ring of Kerry. Killarney was a cute stop. Glad we had two nights. Would have preferred only one night in Limerick and would have liked to spend more time in Galway.
-
-
-
ServiceWell planned trip. Went with friends which helped to make it more fun. Ireland trip has been on my bucket list for years. I was so happy to see it didnt disappoint me. All the trip was great. But would have liked to have more time at Blarney Castle.
-
TourNot enough time at Blarney Castle.
-
-
The best vacation ever!
-
ServiceCollette tours received a lot of pre-trip calls from me due to many questions I had during the months prior to our trip. They always handled them quickly and professionally. I appreciated the fact they knew what they were doing and how to address my inquiries. They experiences on the trip were fantastic! Our tour guide Fiona Lane and driver John were about the best you could ask for! The excursions we were part of once in Ireland were fun, funny and memorable. The accommodations were a cut above and exceeded our expectations.
-
TourMemorable experiences in a nutshell: Spending the week with my girlfriend! Blarney Castle (Yes I did kiss the stone!) Cliffs of Moher (Breathtaking!) Ring of Kerry Day shopping in different villages The Castles! Smithwicks Red Ale Tellamore D.E.W. whiskey Spending Euros like it was monopoly money! The friends made and the incredible tour guide and driver! Not to be negative, but two of the hotels didn't have A/C and one of them had broken A/C. One hotel gave us some fans to use which was a welcome fix! One hotel we needed to open the windows and it was downtown across from a club so it was noisy until about 2 AM. This was not horrible but it was a bit uncomfortable. Only mentioning it because if you don't know, you can't address it. It would not stop me from going again.
-
-
great trip.
-
ServiceWe enjoyed our tour very much. Great tour guide, etc. The only downer was the number of times we had to chance hotels. Not sure what you can do about that ?
-
Tourthe sheep ranch and border collies
Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Shades of Ireland tour. We appreciate you expressing your feedback on the number of hotels used on this tour. While we can't guarantee a change, your suggestion will be reviewed by the Product Design Team so that the number of properties used on this tour can be looked at.

Collette Tours are Awesome!
-
ServiceI would definitely go on another Collette Tour. Our tour guide and driver were fantastic. They had great information about Ireland. They also had a wonderful sense of humor. It was so nice to just "go along for the ride" knowing that most everything was already planned and in place for us. Ireland was a lovely place to visit!
-
TourTouring Ireland was a marvelous experience. We loved the countryside vistas. The coastal areas were amazing as well. And, speaking of the food, it was Delicious!
-
-
5th trip a success!
-
ServiceTour guides take such care to make sure everyone has a good trip.
-
TourWish there had been more art, museums and history. Less shopping. Loved Galway, Waterford. Blarney grounds were amazing. Walking maps and restaurant recommendations would have been helpful on the days we were on our own.
-
-
Exceeded our expectations. Bucket list item checked off in full.

-
TourWe enjoyed everything. The tour was very well planned. John Fitzgibbons was very knowledgeable about everything and was very interesting to listen too.
-
-
-
ServiceFrom the beginning to the end, it was very nice. The pace for my husband and I was good. The hotels were comfortable; there was an initial blurb where everyone had a room after traveling over the ocean except for us and John Hogan took care of it right away. The bus was comfortable. The food was fine and sometimes great and of course, the Irish breakfast buffet was incredible, although I don't eat like that. The professionalism with the cleaning people and wait staff in all the hotels was wonderful. I don't think it's like that in the States but someone said it was because we were in 4 star hotels. I'm not sure about that. I originally stated that I would have liked to spend about 3 hours in a museum in Dublin but we did not have the time. All our education on Ireland and its history came from John Hogan, our guide, thank God. The people that we traveled with in our group were great and that was very important to me to socialize or why would you do a tour.
-
TourEverything was just about perfect.
-
-
Awesome Trip
-
ServiceOne of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. I was pleasantly surprised everyday. Our tour manager and bus driver were so helpful and very friendly, Ireland is so beautiful and they both were so informative about the areas we traveled as well as the rich history it has. Service
-
ServiceI had the best host: Peter Murphy throughout my Ireland experience. His knowledge and passion for the country, his heritage and his passion made this a very informative and extremely funny experience. He was engaging and kept track of the entire group. He would go through the daily itinerary with us. He is very organized and very much the professional. Kevin, our steerologist, was a very safe driver. He was polite, engaging as well. He always lent a hand when disembarking from his bus, a great safety for seniors! His bus was always clean.
-
TourI especially enjoyed the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, the carriage ride in Kilkenny, the medieval dinner and the Irish music and Riverdance programs.
-
-
-

-
ServiceYes, I would buy from them again.
-
TourWell done. Our tour director was excellent!
-
-
Good tour but poor departure planning.
-
ServiceShould have left from a hotel closer to the airport instead of Cabra Castle. We paid Collette for our departure transport and had to leave at 5 am for a 10:30 flight. Waited almost an hour for Delta check in to open.

ServiceSaw everything that was advertised
-
TourStaying in Markree Castle was a wonderful experience.

The Best Tour Of Ireland and fun out of the places along the way.
-
ServiceWe had a wonderful time on Shades of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It was what we were looking for in a tour seeing all parts of The countryside more. The out of the way spots were jewels and beautiful. Kim our Tour Director and John our Coach driver could not have been better in their knowledge of the history of Ireland and driving those narrow roads safely.
-
TourMarkree and Cabra Castle were excellent and magical places to stay. Malin Head, Giants Causeway, Farren’s Bar, beaches, mountains and the gorgeous countryside with cows ,sheep, etc.
-

-
ServiceMy 6th overseas trip with Collette. If the other 5 would have had problems I probably wouldn't have done the 6th !

TourAll tours with Collette have been excellent !

-
Lacking Value for Money
-
ServiceNot worth the money. All it was were long bus rides and eating. Would not recommend it. I have many other individual comments, but the tour guide wouldn't let us complete the printed survey and send it in.
-
TourNo favorites - nothing stands out
-
-
-
ServiceExcellent. Organized tour guide.
-
TourLoved the Bruins and drive along the Atlantic coast.
-
-
-
ServiceThe tour guide and the tour itself were wonderful. Would have liked a little more time in certain places. Also the hotels and food left a little to be desired. Otherwise enjoyed it immensely.
-
TourExcellent stops along beautiful country roads. Were able to see the countryside not just the cities and towns. Drove very scenic routes between stops.
-
-
Great but improvements could be made
-
ServiceAccommodations were great and so were the meals. After getting to Limerick the evening was ours, this was disappointing as everywhere closed early and there was nothing to do. Also the trip to Galloway seemed a long way to drive for lunch. Other than that the rest of the trip went well
-
TourHotel at Dunloe was fabulous. Overall good tour but improvements would help

TourThe Shades of Ireland tour was remarkable! It had history, fantastic scenery, excellent food, great accommodations, Fiona, the tour guide was marvelous. Perfect trip all around!

-
ServiceThe tour was organized very well. I especially appreciated the extra effort in transportation to and from the airport. We got delayed a day on our return trip and needed to change flights at the last minute. Customer service was able to contact and arrange for transportation through all of the changes.
-
TourThe tour provided a wonderful experience to understand Ireland in a unique manner. Seeing the larger cities and more rural areas helped to capture the essence of Ireland. John Hogan, our tour guide, was exceptional in his service and knowledge (and humor). Lee, our drives was also excellent in getting us around the island. Our tour had the good fortune of incredible weather the entire tour.

ServiceBest tour manager and bus driver ever!
-
TourThe places we stayed in Ireland were good, but most hotels had high step-in tubs, which were unsafe for seniors. Seniors should be booked into rooms with only showers. Some were afraid to quest the high rubs and bathed from the sink. Not a pleasurable experience. Did not like the seat rotations! It's not fair to charge 'single travelers' more money than couples. Half way through a 2 week trip, it's good to include a hotel with an in-house laundry matt, rather than taking your laundry down the street in hand.

ServiceWell organized with professional tour staff and drivers. Superb accommodations and meals with interesting upgrades available.
-
TourOverall tour was great - however, long bus ride from Limerick to Cliffs of Mohr and back seemed like a long day trip for lunch in Galway, and could’ve been better spent in Limerick area. Tour should’ve terminated in Dublin where it began.

-
-
ServiceWhen we called to book the trip the agent was very informative and answered all our questions.
-
TourThe tour itself was great and we purchased the Midieval Feast which for $135.00 Canadian was a little bit pricey. We didn't purchase this initially but rather on the trip. We didn't want to miss out on anything but again I think it was too much for what it was.

Terrific tour mgr and driver. Excellent coverage. Hectic schedule.
-
ServiceExcellent coverage of history, geography, people, customs. Tour mgr. and driver were excellent. Coach very comfortable. With a couple of exceptions, hotels were very good. The schedule was hectic at times.
-
TourThe long room library at Trinity College in Dublin; music at Lansdowne Hotel in Dublin, County Donegal and Derry/LondonDerry town; Inishowen Peninsula and Malin Head; Giant's Causeway. Mostly, though, getting to know some of the local folks. Plan to return next summer and rent an apartment or small house for three or four weeks.

ServiceIt was great to be taken from Madison to Chicago for the flight. And then picked up in Chicago and return back to Madison after the flight back from Ireland.
-
TourCliff of Moher, and Ring of Kerry were my favorite sights. Would have like additional time too spend at some points of interest to enjoy the views.

-
ServiceKim Durham was very good. I think she even went overboard in paying attention to everybody’s needs, especially on the last day! I wonder if she had time to rest. She was up very early in the morning so those who had early flights could get to the airport on time, and for us who had planned to go back to Dublin, she gave us detailed instructions on how to get there from our drop off point. And the group was enormous!
-
TourI would prefer staying longer at the different places and covering less ground than changing hotels almost every night. The manors we stayed in were really great.
-
-
-
ServiceIt was our first time abroad and our first time with Collette. We could not have been happier with our experience.
-
TourOur tour guide was amazing, our coach driver was THE coachman of the year the duo made us want to stay longer and see more they were so knowledgeable and efficient and friendly and personable that we more than got our money's worth.

-
ServiceIt was a great trip from beginning to end. All the agents I spoke with were very accommodating. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He was very good at explaining our entire trip from times to meet, the hotels, where we were going each day, how long we would be somewhere, etc.
-
TourOur Ireland tour was fabulous. Our tour guide, Sean, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He explained everything very well from meeting times to hotels, places we were visiting each day, etc. The Collette staff did an outstanding job explaining and reserving everything for us as well. Will definitely use your services again.

Ireland In 12 Days
-
ServiceI've traveled the world extensively; therefore, my 4-star rating is how I stack Collette Tours against other tour operators and outfitters I've used which include Lindblad Expeditions, National Geographic, AMA Waterways, MAKOR Israel Group Tours, Asia To Africa Outfitters and Uncharted Outposts. Collette Tour representatives exhibited an efficient, customer oriented approach with 1st class vendors, i.e., hotels, buses, tour guides.
-
TourOverall, 12 days was too long, 8 days would have been more appropriate. The choice of group flights forced the group to miss the entire first day in Dublin with their arrival at 8pm. Thankfully, I arrived on my own flights at 8am and had the entire first day to tour Dublin. I would have been very disappointed had I not had the 2 full days in Dublin. Tour highlights were 2 days in Dublin, including St. Patricks Cathedral, Christ Church, Trinity College, the Book of Kells, the Kilmainham Prison and the Irish Music Show in The Den Bar after dinner in the Lansdowne Hotel. Beyond Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford and the Blarney Castle were all worth seeing as the roads were excellent and the length of bus rides were minimal. In addition, the final night in the Cabra Castle north of Dublin was a must see. Less enjoyable was Killarney to Belfast (southwest to northeast Ireland along the west coast), the sites to be seen were a poor trade off for the length of the bus rides and the condition of the roads. I would like to have had an extra night in Belfast with its rich history which would have afforded a walking tour of the shipping district and murals created by the IRA and less time at the Titanic tourist hotspot. While the hotels were all very good, I would prefer to stay at hotels in the towns and villages where walking to sites and night life is available. Two of the hotels were so remote that walking to city venues was prohibited. I strongly encourage you to include the Kilmainham Prison Tour in Dublin in every tour you conduct in Ireland. The tour explains the history of Ireland from 1840 - present day which lays an excellent foundation for the rest of the trip.
-
-
-
ServiceJohn was an excellent tour guide with lots of interesting information about Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. He proud to be Irish and wants visitors to learn as much as possible about Ireland just as we Americans want to tell visitors about America. He is a very good representative for Ireland. He and Tommy (bus driver) were always very professional, very pleasant, helpful and extremely patient. Tommy is an excellent driver. We drove through a lot of light rain. Not once did I feel concerned about how he was driving. John made sure we knew the directions to our rooms in each hotel. He also guided us through the entry to the Heathrow airport and got us to the proper level after we had checked in. This was not something he had to do.
-
TourThis was my second trip to Ireland and was much better than my first one. It was with a different tour company. I liked St Patrick’s.
-
-
Wonderful vacation thanks to Collette
-
ServiceEverything with our tour was completely smooth. Our tour guide was excellent and knew a great deal about the country, the sites we were going to see and a great deal about sites that weren't on our tour. She knew a tremendous amount about the history of Ireland and made sure we understood all of the events that took place in the history of the country many centuries ago as well as current history. There were absolutely no problems with any transportation that Collette arranged and the hotels were extremely satisfactory.
-
TourEverything went extremely smoothly from the time we were picked up by the Limo arranged for us by Collette until we arrived back home at where the Limo had picked us up initially.
-
-
We saw everything we wanted and more.
-
ServiceGuide was terrific...very informed and personable. The tour included many important sites.
-
TourPrice is reasonable and most things are included. I enjoyed the Irish Dancing.
-
-
-
ServiceThis is my third trip with Collette and it was as amazing as the others. John and Mickey were the best.
-
TourSights were amazing, Kissing the Blarney stone was an experience. the castle visits were great and the Celtic dancing shows were unbelievable how fast the dancers could move their feet.

-
Wonderful trip!!!
-
ServiceThis trip was very well planed and the services offered were great! Our travel guide Sarah was very helpful with everything one could think of. She has a great sense of humor. She knows about the culture of Ireland and answered all our questions. My friend was sick on the bus almost at the end of our tour,Sarah and Tom(our driver)were both very compassionate and concerned about her. They took care of her and helped me with arrangements if we should have to stay on another day. We did have plenty of photo ops. The meals very top shelf and the service wal out of sight . Plus I met a lot of really nice people and had a great time .
-
TourI love Ireland Cliffs of Mohr Kilkenny Waterford walking tour & Waterford Medieval museum were great. Blarney Castle,,jaunting carts, and boat cruise were all great fun! Ring of Kerry was nice just a little rain, but who cares Ireland is so beautiful!! A great breakfast every morning to start the day off. Our music & dancing events were the top events ever!! So was the medieval banquet!!

ServiceStrong followup.
-
TourVery well planned. Loved the city bus tours.
-
-
-
ServiceThere was not a single detail left out.
-
TourThere were plenty of entertaining and humorous moments just while travels on the coach all credit to the fantastic tour manager. She gave insight and details to things I wouldn't have even thought of. My favorite experience would have been the Cliffs of Moher. The sheer magnitude of the cliffs took my breath away. To see it in person was epic
-
-
Pretty good tour
-
ServicePretty responsive
-
TourTour tried to cover too many places for the time period. Would have liked to spend more time at fewer locations. This lead to too many deadlines and a more stressful trip.
-
-
-
ServiceExcellant service! Love the fact that we just have to pay and show up. Everything is already planned and mostly paid for. The few things that we need to pay for they let you k ow ahead of time.
-
TourBeautiful tour. Highly recommend

-
"Shades of Ireland" tour met my expectations and beyond!
-
ServiceShades of Ireland Tour went well beyond my expectations! Arrived Dublin on St Patrick's day; had a marvelous time getting acclimated to Dublin! Tour guide and bus driver were full of interesting knowledge and explanations of the sites we saw on our 10 day tour.
-
Tour"some" of my memorable experiences: Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Mohr, Excellent Medieval Meal in Limmerick, stay at Cabra Castle. Whole tour was great and exceeded my expectations!
-
-
Everything was great from the accommodations to the food to the bus driver
-
ServiceThe tour was well planned and the tour guide was very good letting us know many things. I will definitely plan another trip with Collette.
-
TourMy favorite part of the tour was going to the Cliffs of Moher. I have seen pictures of them but when you see them in person, WOW.
-
-
Unforgetable!
-
ServiceWell planned. Special service for those with handicaps. Good choice of restaurants and hotels.
-
TourEver detail was covered. We enjoyed the horse and buggy ride (and commentary) the most.
-
-
Fantastic
-
ServiceThis is my second trip with them & as usual it was fantastic. They thought of everything.
-
TourThe Tour Guide David was great he had a lot of knowledge that he shared. He was personable, caring & made sure we all were having a great time. The bus driver Damien was quite most of the time, but every once in awhile he would tell or say something funny. He was always very helpful getting in & out of the bus & handled our luggage with care. There were so very many memorable experiences. I loved the whole trip.
-
-
-
ServiceThe trip was perfect ! Number of days, schedule and tour guide.
-
TourSheep herding and castle overnight
-
-
-
ServiceThe itinerary was good although the times at the different places were a bit short.
-
TourRing of Kerry and Cliffs of Moher were highlights.
-
-
Wonderful trip, happy every day
-
ServiceWell-paced, great hotels, although lighting in most was pretty low level and made it hard to read to read. Lack of tub grab bar at one hotel, dangerous. Local guides excellent and main tour guide and bus drivers were super Always mindful of our safety.
-
TourThis company knows what is doing
-
-
-
Serviceeverything WAS done well the only issue was the airfare it was cancelled and rescheduled and cost more than we had planned to spend so our budget was exceeded because to keep same west jet cost extra in hotels in Dublin. Also Delta air montreal to new York was an unpleasant experience with a stewardess who was on the plane and was extremely racist caused a scene with client using their services and made us all late with her pettiness. Never seen anything like it. Shades of Ireland far surpassed our wildest dreams such a beautiful country. Our Guide Barbara Hunter was exceptional goes far beyond the extra mile and our driver Donal was very good as well. It was a dream come true.
-
Tourtipping was a bit excessive I think it should be left to the person experiencing the service. Price was good when we booked but bad as we were getting ready to travel due to airfare and extra expenses. Also all the extra expense of the outings which we ended up exceeding our budget for the vacation.
-
-
Excellent company, guides were great and the tour covered everything.
-
ServiceYes, we would buy their service again. Everything was coordinated well. We were well cared for and the guides were excellent.
-
TourWe saw current as well as historic places and things.
-
-
Great Tour
-
ServiceEverything on the tour was well organized. Our tour group was lucky with the weather. Some of the beds in the hotel were not comfortable. One hotel we even had Baileys or Whiskey with our oatmeal.
-
TourThe scenery was so different all over Ireland. I liked that we could choose an optional tour. The driver and the tour guide were very professional
-
-
-
Fantastic ireland
-
ServiceThe entire experience was wonderful. The guide, Steve Mayer, was one of the best I have ever had. The driver, Micheal, could not have been any better-he was so very helpful and always had a smile for us. The tour was perfect; the condition of the bus clean and spotless; the sites well chosen; and the hotels so beautiful.
-
TourThe drive around the coastline of Northern Ireland was beautiful
-
-
-
ServiceIt was superb!
-
TourI felt I really received a lot for the cost.
-
-
-
ServicePeter, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and also kept us entertained. John our driver was equally pleasant and very professional. The sites we visited were fantastic, and we would not have found them had we traveled on our own by rental car.
-
TourExcellent value for the money.
-
-
-
ServiceI would and have recommended them to friends. I was pleased with the ease of sign up, the pre-trip information session and the easy two part payment.
-
TourThe hotels were first rate and friendly. Our tour guide, Peter, was superb as was our driver, John. It was a very informative tour, I learned a lot of history and current events. The stops were well timed so we never had long waits, Peter had tickets at hand as soon as we disembarked from the bus. Traveling with 42 other people was easier and more fun than I thought it would be. The amount of time spent on the bus was appropriate with well timed stops in between our destinations.

-
Collette did what a travel agent historically has done
-
ServiceThe trip was beautifully planned, in all the details such as hotels, places to visit and things to do, and executed perfectly, as, for example, by having the services of a knowledgeable, friendly and humorous Tour Manager (“guide”) and a most conscientious bus driver
-
TourSeeing a statue of their most famous President/Provost on the campus of Trinity University in Dublin and discovering his surname was the same as my mother’s and that someone with that surname he been born in Ireland
-
-
The most memorable trip
-
ServiceI liked the tour, the layover for 6 hours in Atlanta was too much.
-
TourEach location was more breathtaking than the last. They did a great balance of how many days to stay in which cities.
-
-
-
ServiceI would highly recommend Collette tours! It was a flawless tour from start to finish! Our tour guide Barbara was fantastic! She made sure to get to know all of us and share places that pertained to all of our interests! So much to see and do... wouldn’t do it any other way!

Great experience
-
ServiceOur first time with Collette. We were very impressed with the lodging options and meals. We would definitely recommend to others.
-
TourVery comprehensive tour of the country. Cliffs of Moher and Dublin City were great.
-
-
-
ServiceSales representative was knowledgeable and most helpful. May booking our tour easy and informed us of some restriction notices. Have recommended to our friends.
-
TourSaw more than we thought.
-
-
-
Servicegreat accommodations, good food, courteous driver and guide
-
TourLoved the countryside, enjoyed Blarney Castle. Could have done with a bit less unstructured time in Dublin
-
-
Five star presentation.
-
ServiceThey took care of the “little” things that causes a measure of stress, like transport to and from the airport when we don’t have a reasonable clue. Baggage assistance, arranged group dinners, to fuel those new relationships, and stress free hotel check in, check out. Sean did a masterful job keeping us moving to meet our goals. Lee was our driver. He was outstanding as a driver, and all about safety. Sean, and Lee are a great team, they know their stuff
-
TourOne lady in the tour group came to Ireland in hopes of seeing her Mother’s home place. Mom had left Ireland as a war bride, and only returned one time. The daughter had never been to see where mom was born, and raised. It so happened that Mom’s home place was on one of our tour routes. Sean, being the fine man he is, made sure daughter got to see the home place, and take photos for her memory book. Every member of the tour group was touched.
-
-
AWESOME
-
ServiceWhat an awesome vacation with great staff!! Ireland was presented with so much love and admiration from two great guys, Sean and Lee!!
-
TourWhile the price for two seemed high, it was well worth every penny. You did not stay in cheap hotels, but great properties with much history in each property and staff that took great care of you. Food was exceptional at each location.
-
-
Top notch
-
ServiceOver and above willingness to help at every point in the process. The preparations and behind the scenes work was absolutely top notch.
-
TourThe amount of experiences is unmatched be other tours, the only downside is when you see that many venues and sights the time at each area or site is limited.
-
-
Amazing trip
-
ServiceThe tour was so well organized - and Rebecca was fabulous. I loved everywhere we toured.
-
TourLoved Ireland and all the places we went to.
-
-
-
ServiceThe staff was friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. I look forward traveling on another Collette tour in the future. I have already shared my great experience with others.
-
TourIt is difficult to state a favorite memorable experience because I had several. However, the Cliffs of Moher would probably top my list of favorites.
-
-
-
ServiceVery good choice of hotels The Irish tour guide and driver were both very professional, but friendly and extremely helpful and considerate. Choices of things we saw were outstanding.
-
TourWe received a lot of services for the price.
-
-
-
ServiceLiked having the same tour manager ( Mick Mulcahy) in Ireland through out the entire trip. Cronin motor couch service & Driver (Ronan Kearney) was great! Well planned and had enjoyable time. One thing that would have been nice would have had all gratuities been taken care of in advance. Willing to have paid Collette as part of the tour package for all gratuities. (hotel housekeeping, tour manager, bus driver etc.)
-
TourLiked Blarney Castle and the Medieval Banquet.
-
-
Great Ireland tour!
-
ServiceThis was our first international travel and it could not have been more enjoyable. We had always wanted to travel to Ireland, the top of our bucket list. We had a fun group, a great tour manager (Sarah), and a safe and friendly motor coach chauffer. The tour was well organized and customized for the group. Sarah went out of her way for all of us.
-
TourThere were so many good experiences; walking around Dublin, Blarney Castle, the Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Galway culinary tour, enjoying our own time walking around villages, all the good food and people!
-
-
-
-
ServiceThe tour manager was very informative during the whole tour.
-
TourThe experiences were exceptional. There was something to look forward to every day.
-
-
I Would Select This Tour Again!!
-
ServiceWell organized. Traveler-centric. And, overall great experience. Our travel manager, Fiona, was wonderful -- so personable, responsive, and professional.
-
TourGreat value. Overall excellent accommodations and dining options.
-
-
-
Servicewas great as always
-
Tourwas great well organized . Tour director was great
-
-
Collette does a great job.
-
ServiceIt was great. They took care of me the entire trip upon arrival after baggage claim to dropping me off at the airport again for departure. Great tour manager. But lots of walking. But lots to see.
-
TourI liked the whole tour. Blarney Castle and the Woolen Mills close by was amazing. It only rained the last two days so I was lucky in that respect.
-
-
-
ServicePeople on the phone at the US main office were very rude and condescending each of the 3 times I had to contact them. Everything else was very good. Field reps were very nice.
-
TourAir and connections were great. Hotels were great. It would have been nice to have had more free time and not so many required hotel dinners.

ServiceThe responsiveness of customer service was disappointing. We asked direct questions. The customer service representative was somewhat elitist, in tone seeming that we should have integrated the answer from the information that we had and were a bother.
-

Loved the trip. Collette was on top of everything.
-
ServiceExcellent trip. Well planned with lots to do. Loved Ireland.
-
TourActivities were well planned. A good balance between nature (Cliffs of Moher) and cities (Dublin). Enjoyed both the feast and entertainment in a medieval castle as well as spending the night in another castle. Loved the lake cruise as well as the horse drawn ride through the national park.
-
-
-
ServiceVery good. I do wish that consideration could be given to the seating on the plane. I do not prefer to sit in the back of the plane and for international flights would like to purchase the preferred economy seats. If we pay this much in advance for a reservation I think we should be able to get better seating.
-
TourTour was great, our guide was the best and the driver was the beat also. Sometimes I feel that we go out of the way for things that are not all that interesting. Such as the stay at the castle. Nothing really exciting about it but way out of the way!!
-
-
Responsive, even anticipating needs.
-
ServiceAlways responsive to my questions, in fact, they anticipated my needs very well and made my job as Group Leader easy.
-
TourTour was very well planned with an excellent pace. Tour Manager was a wealth of knowledge and was ever prepared for any contingency. Favorite experience was first night's excellent meal followed by a wonderful musical program of traditional Irish tunes, including Irish dancing!
-
-
-
ServiceOur tour guide was outstanding! She is extremely knowledgeable and made sure we were safe and had fun. I would definitely go on another tour with her. The trip to Ireland was beautiful and relaxing. We saw a lot and stayed in some of the best hotels. Colette prepared us well for the trip.
-
TourI don't have just one memorable experience. Each day was a great adventure. I got to see so much of Ireland. This is a place I would go back to but I don't know if I'd be able to drive on the other side of the road.

-
ServiceThe Ireland trip was an awesome adventure. The organization of it was exceptional. The places we saw were amazing and the places we stayed were above and beyond my expectations. Thank you so much for providing this trip of a lifetime.

TourDay 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7, day 8. Each day was more memorable than the day before. It was an experience of a lifetime.

ServiceOur guide was awesome. He told us all of that history of the location. We would have never gotten that otherwise.
-
TourGreat locations. Killarney. We went into the oubs none of the rest of the tour went.
-
-
-
ServiceThe organization was excellent and all but one stop was exceptional.
-
TourKillarney segment! The shopping, Ring of Kerry, Kissane's Sheep Farm, restaurant fare, lesson in Irish coffee, Celtic Roots show and jaunting cart ride. Amazing two-day stay!!
-
-
-
ServiceThey are always quick to respond and their info about trips is very thorough.
-
TourThe jaunty car ride through the National Park was beautiful and the driver quite a character. The Ring of Kerry was quite a let down as it was very foggy and we couldn’t really see the scenery. Know that’s quite normal but disappointing just the same. Maybe an alternate bus ride could be planned on days when scenery would be obscured.
-
-
-
ServiceThe did everything well. I will highly recommend their services and plan to use them again.
-
TourGreat information provided before, during, and after the trip.
-
-
Beautiful country and great guide
-
ServiceThe hotel in Limerick was very noisy. (Batchelorette party). When asked to change rooms the front desk had a major attitude. Nothing to do in Limerick.
-
TourLoved Killarney, beautiful quaint town. The castles and the ring of Kerry

-
ServiceAll transfers were on time and excellent. Hotels and meals were excellent as well. Tour guide, Adrian Metcalfe was outstanding. The only thing I would change is the stay in Limerick. Not the best location compared to the rest of the towns/cities we stayed at.
-
TourThe tour was excellent and highlighted the best of Ireland. The trip through the Ring of Kerry and the stay at the castle at Kingscourt were the best. Blarney Castle was beautiful as was the cliffs at Mohr. The sheep herding dogs were another favorite.

Overall, a very nice trip.
-
ServiceThe trip was very well organized. Tour Manager was excellent. Liked the uniqueness of the hotels. Only negative was a rather lengthy walk, with luggage, from Dublin airport to motorcoach. That was not good at all.

-
ServiceWell designed tour. Meals were timely, service excellent and delicious. Hotel accommodations and location excellent except perhaps first day. Castle was nice but too much time and not much to do on first day. Tour guide was very informative and accommodating. Just the right amount of information but not an overload. Both tour guide and driver very helpful when needed. Obviously well respected by local people.
-
TourEach and every day provided a memorable experience. From selection of sights to stop at, to new information about area to local people and service.

Top Notch Service & Trip
-
ServiceWe loved our Shades of Ireland trip with our tour guide Collette Dennison...it was like a living history tour non stop! She covered everything you could imagine about Ireland. Also our Bus Driver Kasper was very helpful, courteous and safe. All the services that were provided were top notch. It was very nice to have everything planned and arranged and to not have to worry about a thing but to just sit back and enjoy our vacation. From the moment we arrived and up to the very end everyone was so helpful and were there for anything necessary that came up. Also all Hotels in this tour had enough staff to help and were just beautiful, clean, safe and comfortable places of stay. This tour also provided enough variety and covered a lot of ground that we felt we really got a feel for the country. Would we do it again? Yes a Hundred percent. It was our first Collette tour and we were highly impressed. Looking forward to doing again! Thank you so much for a great experience! The McCathern’s
-
TourWe loved the whole experience of the Shades of Ireland trip. So many parts of it to love... One of my husband’s favorites were of Jack the walking tour guide in Waterford and the tall tales he told and history tidbits. One of my favorite stops were at Kissane the Sheep/Dog Farm. How could you not love holding a newborn baby lamb? The Medieval Banquet was another favorite...overall we enjoyed the whole experience and we hated to see it come to an end. Each day was just getting better and better...

-
ServiceTo Rushed. It had many thing to see. I like to see thing at a slower pace. Many on the tour were sick. Didn't have time to relax. We were packing our bags every night.
-
TourThe Medieval Banquet was great. The food was great. To Bad you can't to something about the weather.

ServiceEverything was very enjoyable. The tour manager, Sarah Swanny, was excellent in her knowledge, personality and helping with any questions or problems. And our tour bus driver, Nick, was an excellent driver with a great personality. There could have been better set ups with some of the flights. Others from our original destination had better flights without so many changes. Other than that I would certainly take another Collette tour.

We all learned a lot. She was concerned, caring, humorous, vivacious, full of contagious energy. She gave us handouts and maps. She was full of sunshine ☀️. TourPerfect blend of guided tours and time on our own to explore. Fabulous tout manager and local guides. Fun experiences such as the sheep farm and holding baby lambs. Loved the town of Killarney with the jaunting car ride through the national park. Also loved Blarney castle. Beautiful grounds and amazing castle to explore.
-
-
I would travel with Collett again
-
ServiceOur guide, Brian, was informative, friendly and very helpful. The tour was well organized. The accommodations and included meals were excellent. I deducted a star for the terrible flights there and back - too many stops and plane changes.
-
TourLoved the sheep dogs and our last day at the castle
-
-
-
Service- The accommodations and meals provided were very good. - The tours and stops in local towns were a lot of fun. There were a couple of stops where a little extra time to explore and shop would have been nice. - The tour guide ( Kevin) was excellent; very entertaining and informative. - The bus driver (Bill) was very polite and courteous to other drivers. He navigated the narrow roads very well. - The return trip from Ireland to Austin was was very long with the layovers at both airports and a lot of walking from the check in areas to the boarding areas. By the time we reached Austin, most people were pretty beat and ready to get home, but the transport bus to Sun City didn't arrive for about 45 minutes after we retrieved our bags.

ServicePerfect trip! The tour guide, John Fitzgibbon, exceeded my expectations in every way. His personality, organization and people skills along with his enthusiasm made the tour outstanding! Advance prep needed
-
ServiceMore advance prep by tour manager would be good. He did not notify restaurants of dietary requirements, after asking us several times to e-mail those to him prior to trip. This resulted in my husband almost not getting food on several occasions. He did not know if scheduled activities would be open, and didn’t know specifics about them, such as whether or not boats had covers on them during rain, which resulted in us not going when we could have.
-
TourThis is a pricey tour and we 3xpected more from tour manager.

Good by not great
-
ServiceWe had a good time on our coach tour. The hotels were in central locations and we appreciated the entrance fees being included in our package price. I could not give it more than 3 stars because the flights were terrible. There were too many connecting flights and layovers. It took us 22 to 24 hours in transportation time to get from CA to Ireland. That is ridiculous. I would also have loved to see more free time built into the tour so that we could have explored each city, or even given the option of a walking tour. Many times we skipped lunch to walk places on our own.
-
TourWe chose the walking tour in Dublin and it was outstanding. Most of the people on the tour chose the city bus tour. We were pleased we chose the walking tour. Dougie was our tour guide, he did a fabulous job giving us a history, cultural, and social lesson along the way of our walking tour. At the end of the tour he personally guided the four of us to the various locations we were interested in pursuing further after our personalized tour. The other highlight was a guided city walk of Waterford along with a tour of the crystal factory.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. Your feedback will be reviewed by the Air and Product Design Team's in order to improve the overall touring experience for our guests.

ServiceThe days were a little long for me, I was very tired by the end of the trip. Brian was very good. United Airlines is very poor. The entire group missed the flight from Newark to Dublin and had to overnight in Newark. The plane in Indianapolis was delayed two times, then when everyone boarded and was ready to leave, the pilot announced they had a hydraulic leak and every had to get off the plane. Then the flight from Dublin to Newark was late arriving and two of us missed the flight to Indianapolis. Very disappointing. Now I know that is not you fault, but thought you should know again. This was my first trip overseas and I really had a good time and would recommend any one to visit Ireland, beautiful country and friendly people. Very enjoyable trip regardless of the problems. Thanks, Norm.
-
TourVery poor airline service. Wasted one full day in the Newark Airport due to multiple delays connecting Indy to Newark causing us to miss The flight to Dublin.

Do a better job on choosing you airlines and then become more involved in h
-
ServiceWe went thru air fare with you and you chose United and it was TERRIBLE. Delays on both going and coming home and United would not book us on any other airline. I and another traveler missed our connection to Indy due to 1 hr. delay in Dublin--slow deboarding of plane in Newark and golf carts ordered for my seniors citizens who had less than 45 min to go 1/2 mile to another terminal for our connection home( they could not walk that far in that amount of time even! ) I HATE Newark and will not use that airport anymore for my Residents. The tour guide and trip were fine but the traveling was horrendous and no financial compensation for the horrible night in Newark( United gave 3 $10 vouchers for meals---where can you eat even one meal in Newark or the airport ) and we didn't get to our rooms in Newark till after midnight and had been at Indy airport since 12noon that day. No compensation for the stress ! You chose United not us , we trusted you ! I don't know if my Resident will travel with Collette anymore after our 2020 Passion Play trip---in fact one resident has already cancelled his Passion Play trip because of it.
-
TourIt was rainy & cold but tour was fine--hotels great ---food wonderful!

TourThe tour manager Kim Dorham had everything so well organized that the trip was outstanding.
-
-
-
ServiceTruly enjoyed the "Shades of Ireland" tour. It was very well organized and enjoyable. Our tour manager Kim, was informative and worked well with the many different personalities on the tour. The Irish history and culture and scenery is wonderful, but the people and their warm friendly personalities are what we treasured most about our trip.
-
TourThe tour was excellent. Great hotels. Every city had it's own history, from the larger cities of Dublin, and Galway, to the smaller villages. No matter where we were we met the nicest people. It's the "people " in the pubs, or just walking down the street and they strike up a conversation with you. That's our very favorite memory.
-
-
If you want the best travel experience, go with Collette.
-
ServiceOutstanding service! Schedules were on time, people were waiting to transport you to the hotel. Tours were excellent with knowledgeable guides. The most impressive thing was when our tour guide re-arranged some tours due to the weather. That was very thoughtful...no fun walking in the rain. We highly endorse Collette!
-

ServiceWe felt like it was the best tour trip that we have ever been on. We had such smooth transition every place we went. We loved our tour guide, he was the best. The tour was well planned, down to the amount of time to shop and stop for the rest rooms. We will use Collette again.
-
TourWe enjoyed all of our tour so it is hard to pick out a favorite, but the people of Ireland are so friendly, the landscape is beautiful, no trash anywhere, unlike in the USA.

Best Trip Ever!
-
ServiceExcellent! John was an awesome tour guide -- love all his stories about growing up in County Cork -- and he knows ALL the history of the Emerald Island -- as well as current happenings, which made the tour very memorable. He was very polite to everyone and very helpful, as well!
-
TourVery good selection of towns/cities to tour -- and alternatives were on-target as well. Felt I received a "full tour" of Ireland....including the restaurants. Food was excellent! Loved having dinner with my roomie at Murphy Brown's in one of the "L" cities.....great surroundings, ambiance and food at restaurant was excellent! People all over Ireland were very friendly, as well!

Breathtaking Ireland
-
ServiceWe loved everything about our trip to Ireland. Our tour guide was, I am sure, the best of the best. We had a fabulous bus driver. We stayed at wonderful facilities, ate at wonderful restaurants, and saw amazing sites. And all of the planning was done for me. How can you beat that?
-
TourWe were blessed to stay at a five-star resort during our time in Ireland. That was something the company arranged for us because of some earlier complications with our tour dates. This company definitely takes care of their clients!
-
-
Ireland was fabulous
-
ServiceWe had a wonderful time on our trip. Met some really great people, had a fabulous tour guide and bus driver. This trip was even better than the first. Hopefully someday we can go back on our own to do some more exploring of the various regions. Dublin was wonderful but needed more time there and getting out into the countryside was even better, but again needed more time. There just weren't enough hours for some of the cities, such as Glasgow. But with only a limited amount of time there is only so much that can be done.
-
TourTo try to say one place was better than another would be so difficult. The Cliffs of Mohr were so beautiful, the drive around was amazing, the stay a Cabra Castle wasn't long enough but the time we were there was fabulous. The only place I didn't really enjoy was Limerick and it may have been the location. The hotel was kinda cold, to contemporary for me after all the wonderful old world hotels. The location didn't really provide us with great walking adventures. Felt a bit limiting. But Glasgow, oh that was marvelous, loved it and would have really enjoyed more time there to wander and explore. Over all though it was a great experience.

Need more or closer pickups and need to follow through I'm sending pictures
-
ServiceThe door was very interesting and beautiful I learned a lot we saw a lot and we enjoyed the tour the only problem was there could have been a closer pick up to the airport and they took a group picture at the end of the tour that they were supposed to meet email to all of us but we never received it thank you

A Trip of a Lifetime
-
ServiceThe tour was well-planned and well-executed. Our Irish tour guide was so knowledge, very personable, and very efficient when plans had to change because of a storm that shut down one of the stops. If you had not read the itenarary closely, you would not have known we missed it. A magical time in Ireland!
-
TourThere are too many memorable experiences to choose just one—the landscape. St. Kevin’s holy site in Glenalough, Cliffs of Mohr, Kylemore Abbey, Marian Shrine of Knock, Cabra Castle where we stayed 2 nights, and where St. Patrick established first Christian Church and where he was buried in Downpatrick and Armaugh.

Super Service From Start to Finish!
-
ServiceOur tour guide, Barbara, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, personable, patient and made each day a wonderful experience. She answered all of our questions and we learned so much about Ireland from her. Our bus driver, David, was just great as well. He always made us feel that we were in good hands - no matter how narrow the roads were. Collette is blessed, indeed, to have these two caring individuals as an integral part of their Ireland team. Of the twelve in our party, nine went home by way of Dublin to Atlanta to San Antonio. Three of us went through JFK to San Antonio, arriving after the first group had left for home (New Braunfels). A smiling face with a big, "COLLETTE" sign was waiting for us at the baggage claim area and drove us to New Braunfels in style He said that Collete takes good care of their clients and they certainly do!
-
TourI Left Ireland feeling that I had learned so much about the country then I had in my from just reading about it.. I have many lovely memories ranging from castles to pub lunches and from ancient churches to sheep shearing. I enjoyed some super meals, purchased some nice gifts for the folks at home and realized just how young the USA actually is when I was told Guiness was brewing beer two years before we became a country. If I were to pick one memorable experience it would have to be a collage of the lovely Irish people I met on my travels.

Make better arrangements.
-
ServiceBetter connections==11 hour layover going over and I think it was at least 6 hours to get back to CR. Not really acceptable. Should have been split up so we wouldn't have had such a long time. Was not necessary to fly as a group.
-
TourWas very disappointed in the Tour guide--Colette. No personality, not helpful when you needed it, did not socialize with us at meal time or any other time, very short when asked a question--reply was always "I told you that this a.m. or " I told you that yesterday". It was a little hard to remember the whole days agenda, times, and rest of info. Finally, at end of tour she started posting the agenda in the Lobby. We were not the only ones disappointed. Too much free time!! We did enjoy the scenery, castles, and other people on the tour.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. Your feedback will be reviewed by the Air and Tour Management Teams so that the overall touring experience can be improved.

ServiceMy husband Charles and I went to Ireland in September. This was our first experience going abroad so we were a little apprehensive. Collette was wonderful! The flights, accommodations , meals, tours all top shelf. Our tour guide Kim Durham was professional, knowledgeable, patient, funny, personable couldn't have asked for anything better. Our driver Bill was patient, helpful, and kept us safe. Wonderful experience...thank you!!

ServiceThey should have met us at the gate as we got off the plane in Dublin. We were all exhausted from the long flight. Now instead of having someone guide us through a foreign airport, baggage claim, and customs, we had to find our own way. Our Collette guide met us after we had done all that ourselves. It was a bad start. It didn't get any better when we arrived at our hotel. Our rooms weren't ready. Our guide sent us out to roam the city for a few hours. We were already dead on our feet. Collette was no help to us that first day. The beauty of Ireland and the friendliness of the people were the highlights of the trip. Collette service was a disappointment.
-
TourI can't complain about the price. My wife and I travelled at no cost because my radio station brought in customers for the tour. But if I had been paying I would have been disappointed. Ireland was great but Collette was so-so.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. Your feedback will be reviewed by our Logistics and Product Design Team's in order to improve the overall tour experience.

Incredible trip!
-
ServiceWe have taken two trips with Collette, one to France and other to Ireland; both were phenomenal! I cannot say enough great things about Collette and the trips they offer.
-
TourI loved the entire tour but my favorite experience of this trip was going to the Sheep Farm.
-
-
Collette and Sean SUPERIOR; Delta Failed
-
ServiceEverything Collette provided was superior ESPECIALLY SEAN our tour Director. HOWEVER, the special Diabetic meals provided by the airline, Delta, had EXTREMELY MORE carbohydrates and sugar than typical or recommended. I couldn’t eat them. Delta needs a new diabetes nutritionist/doctor. My doctor told me NOT TO CONSUME ANY KIND OF JUICE because of the sugar, also, no danish or white bread...or white anything- rice, potatoes, etc. I was SHOCKED when they served me orange juice, muffin and apple butter or jam for breakfast. This is just 1 example.

ServiceFrom sending a driver to my home and dropping us off at the airport gate and then meeting us at our destination to arranging all our traveling and accommodations and many of our meals was excellent. Our tour director was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the history of Ireland. She was very friendly and kind. The Bus Driver was the best. The trip home was the same as the trip to Ireland. We were bussed to the airport gate and were driven home. It was a wonderful experience. Thankyou to you all for making our trip a memorable 10 days.

Memories to last a lifetime, Irish tour guide was fantastic
-
ServiceThis is my second Collette tour (Tuscany in 2002) and I thought both were great. Our guide Sean Curran really stands out as a highlight along with the choices of hotels which were all very nice. The hotel thing is a sincere compliment as I travel extensively for business and "live" in hotels so if I think they were nice it says a lot.
-
TourNight with the Irish dancer and musicians was especially memorable
-
-
Very good experience for a first time visitor to Ireland.
-
ServiceI would have liked more free time in the few villages that we stopped in. It seemed like by the time we had lunch it was time to leave again. I also think it would have been nice if instead of all the fancier hotel meals we could have gotten vouchers or credits to eat at some of the pubs and soaked up some local nightlife. My last comment concerns the day of our arrival. After an overnight flight, we were unable to check into our rooms until 3pm - it would have been nicer to have planned a group lunch to help pass the time as opposed to the evening meal that was planned.
-
TourMy favorite was the castle we stayed in our last night. However, we didn’t get there til late afternoon and after dinner it was dark and raining so we didn’t have an opportunity to really enjoy the grounds and then left at 5am to get to the airport. I also enjoyed the Cliffs of Morrh and the Ring of Kerry tour.

-
ServiceI like the convienance of being chauffeured to the airport and also chauffeured back home again from the airport. The travel guide was conveniently waiting in the Dublin airport once we arrived. He was amazing and just a book full of knowledge about Ireland and the history of it. Collette goes above and beyond to arrange a perfect travel package and includes the best cities and counties and places of historical interests. Would use them again. Highly recommend Collette for travel.
-
TourLiked being chauffeured to and from the airport. Tour guide was easily located in the Dublin airport. He was fully knowledgeable regarding Ireland’s history. Also pointed out the best pubs and restaurants and places to shop. The hotels and cites and counties included in this trip were amazing. I’d highly recommend Collette to anyone that wants the convience of a professional planning the trip for them.

-
ServiceYes, I would recommend Collette, and I would purchase another tour from them. The tour director, Sean, was excellent. I thought he went above and beyond to make our tour exceptional. Also, the pre planning done with my parish helped the tour get off to a smooth start.
-
TourBlarney Castle, the boat ride on the river and ride on the horse driven wagon. The driver was sweet and so funny.

OUTSTANDING TOUR and Guide!!!
-
ServiceWe would highly recommend this tour, and do plan to return because of such a wonderful vacation! Our tour guide, Shiela, was amazing! She was SO very knowledgeable about everything past and present and was able to clearly answer all questions the group members had for her! She also had a wonderful sense of humor, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!,,
-
TourAs described above! Perfect in every way!

ServiceActually I travelled with a group from Belleville through Expedia Cruise Ships with Laurie Alton and she definitely made it an excellent trip. Hoiwever, the guide on the bus was most enjoyable, gave commentaries throughout the trip that provided a background to the couontry.

Tour great, to and from, meh...
-
ServiceOur first Collette tour. The virtual door to airport pickup was great. Hotels, bus, driver and guide were all top notch. I've only one issue: During the presentation we were never told the customer can arrange their own flights to and from Dublin. It was 22 hours from California to Dublin and 26 hours of travel back. The cause? A 5+ hour layover in Newark NJ airport. We are of the age that these long distance transcontinental trips are brutal and exhausting. Also after nearly two weeks with the same people, i'd like to get away from some of them and not travel home with them. In short, it would be nice to offered this choice. I would use Collette again but may book my own flight to and from.
-
TourWe all naturally would like a cheaper fee. But not having any experience with other tour companies I have nothing to compare it to. The tour was very nice. The guide was very knowledgeable of the area and history. Hotels were all excellent, bus and driver were excellent. Most awe inspiring site was the Long Room at Trinity Collage.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. Your feedback will be reviewed by the Groups department to ensure guests are aware they can make their flight own arrangements

Collette - Consistant Value, Quality and Service
-
ServiceI'm the travel leader for my bank, I've used Collette for many years and have been very pleased overall with their level of service, quality of trips, value, insurance and usually the guides. Our guide for Ireland was good. I wouldn't say she was exceptional. Not as organized as some and didn't communicate as well with the whole group as I thought she should. We also didn't received the survey at the end of the trip as we always have. I questioned this once I returned with my rep at the Collette home office. She found that to be very unusual. I asked to have the survey sent at a minimum to me. I never received the survey.
-
TourIreland is just a great country to visit and almost can't fail as a destination. The people are welcoming and warm and the scenery beautiful.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. Your feedback will be reviewed by your tour guide's Team Leader in the Tour Management department. We will also mail a survey to your address on file.

ServiceThis was our first tour and when we were delayed leaving Chicago I got nervous. I knew we were going to miss our plane from Heathrow to Dublin. I called the emergency number. When we arrived at Heathrow I had a call telling us what flight we were on and staff was there to pick us up. From there on it was an very organized and enjoyable tour

Lovely sights of Ireland/Northern Ireland
-
ServiceThe accommodations were lovely, especially the Manor House and Cabra Castle. The included evening meals offered good selections and were served very nicely. The motorcoach was modern and clean. However, the seats on the passenger side had very little leg room and were Not comfortable. Seats on the driver's side offered more space. Coach apparently was structured for 50 seats, and this was TOO many! Several passengers mentioned this.
-
TourThe tour director was knowledgeable and very efficient. The Giant's Causeway and Inishowen peninsula were spectacular. We stopped for Irish coffee, which we loved! Also enjoyed very much Rathbaun Farm--sheep demonstration. We were served delicious scones and jam! It would have been nice to arrive at the hotels a bit earlier in the day, to enjoy the property and surroundings.

ServiceTour was always timely. If they said they were doing something at a certain time they did it. Bus was clean.

Service"SHADE OF IRELAND" What a wonderful trip. Our tour guide Barbara and Driver were excellent. Barbara went above and beyond her duties. We left our hotel and got on the bus and half way through I realized I had left my jewelry in the hotel safe. I told Barbara, she called the hotel and within two days I received my jewelry back. We loved all the tours we were on. The scenery was breath taking. I couldn't be more happy. My boys (Bryan, and Kevin) loved it also. It was a great experience for them both, They never were overseas. I'm glad I got to spend time with them. One of my favorite part was staying overnight at the castle. My husband was asked about who ran the trip and all the information about Collette. My husband and I are going to England next year with my son Jeffrey and his wife Nicole. If Collette runs tours to England we love information for that. My family and I (Larry,Linda,Bryan, and Kevin Doyle) would like to thank Barbara our tour guide, David our Driver for one of the greatest experiences of our lives. Thanks, The Doyle Family

ServiceGreat service. Would tour with them again.
-
TourIt was a nice mix of scheduled time and free time. Rebecca stressed punctuality which made the time better for everyone. Only suggestion I would make is more time in Galway and less in Limerick. The shopping and street performers in Galway were fun but we had to rush.

TourThe entire tour was excellent. It's hard to pick out a highlight, because every day was new and exciting.

-
ServiceI was with a group but flew in separately. I was greeted at the airport and transported to the hotel by an extremely nice gentleman. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in without issue but the person I was sharing a room with had been given all the information as to where to meet up for dinner and the name of our tour director. My "roommate" had arrived about an hour and a half earlier, was given all the information, stored her luggage and taken off to tour the city.
-
TourWe covered a lot of territory in a short time and saw quite a bit of the country. I felt it was a good value.
-

-
ServiceThe service of Collette was outstanding....our travel agent, Anita Browne, was efficient and kept in touch with us when we were in the planning stages. She went over and above trying to find us better seats on the plane for our return trip, and she answered all of our questions before we left on the trip.
-
TourThe tour included many many memorable sights.....the sheep farm and the Irish music and dancing were great as were all of the sights that we saw. The dinners and breakfasts were good....everything was so organized....directions given and questions answered always....we felt "taken care of."

Probably won’t choose Collette again
-
ServiceSaw a lot but way too many people on the tour, the tour guide was efficient but aloof, and Collette nickel and dimes on silly things. Charging one euro for a bottle of water, and not having st least a couple of nights where all wine is included with dinner was cheap and silly. Also, we stayed two nights in Limerick, which has little to offer, and only two hours in Galway, which seemed to have so much to offer and see.

Poor pre-arrival planning
-
ServiceOverall, very good. Began with a problem. Collette travel booked us into the hotel in Dublin arriving at the hotel by 5 AM. No rooms available. The streets were uninhibited and it was raining. Had to wait in the hotel lobby until 10 AM for a available room. Tried reaching the Collette Tour manager but no one at the desk knew of his assistance. Once he was identified, he talked to the desk and was told it was a priority..... this was at 6 AM. Nothing happened until 10 AM. We blame Collette Travel for not booking us into a flight time that would have got us arriving around the 9-10 AM which other Collette travelers come into the hotel at that time.
-
TourOur Tour Manager was very nice but was found to argue with guests and appeared to be very disorganized. As the trip continued, he improved and his communication of daily events or upcoming events was better.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. A member of the Guest Relations Team will be reaching out to discuss your feedback.

First class just too fast!

ServiceTour guide Jackie was fabulous! Super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Office staff was also friendly and efficient.

TourLoved the towns of Kilkenny and Kilarney the most. I just wish we could have spent more time there. The tour needs to be longer or tweaked. Spent too much time in Derry and would have much rather had more time in Kilkenny and Kilarney. Should skip Waterford all together or make it an add on option for those interested. if you aren't into crystal Waterford doesn't offer much else. Only had 1 hour and 45 mins. in Kilkenny and also didn't have enough time at the Blarney Castle to actually go up into the castle. The tour schedule is just too tight and you are in and out of too many hotels.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Ireland. Your feedback has been forwarded to the Product Development Team so that they can review your comments on the timing and pacing of the itinerary. This feedback will be used to enhance this tour for our future guests.

IRISH TOUR GUIDES
-
Servicethe local guides were excellent!!! Our bus guide was not a local. She , unfortunately, paled in comparison. She read the information/history from notes. Molly did not have the same passion for Ireland or just a novice to this tour?? The coach driver was perfect! I would still use Collette again.
-

ServiceEvery arrangement, accommodations, food, and tours were superb. Our tour guide, Rebecca Bell was one of the best we have encountered, professional, entertaining, and knowledgeable. She was conspicuous when necessary and inconspicuous otherwise. She never missed a detail. Our bus driver, Caspars, was amazing. Overall, this was one of our most memorable trips ever.

ServiceEverything was amazing. Tour guide, Peter, very funny & prompt & informative. Steerologist was incredible & friendly. Nicely paced tour with plenty of free time. Saw alot but didn't feel rushed. Transportation to/from airports went smoothly. Liked not having to register at every hotel individually & having our suitcases delivered. I already have highly recommended Collette & I hope I do take another tour with Collette.
-
TourWe saw a lot. Especially liked wandering the towns like Kilkenny, Adare, Galway. Medieval Museum in Waterford had acouple of interesting things but not that great. We would've liked to have seen more restored castles, maybe next time.

ServiceExtremely well organized tour with perfectly selected venues to give you a true sense Ireland's history and peoples. I have already recommend this tour to my work colleagues. I will add, John Fitzgibbon (Tour Manager) exceeded our expectations with his knowledge, organizational skills and ability to maintain our interest throughout the tour.

ServiceI thought this vacation was perfect! Fiona planned everything to when we leave in the morning to avoid the crowds, tours, dinners, shopping to perfection. She is very informative and very pleasant. Nick & Jaimie made us all feel very safe with their good driving skills. We had 43 people on our bus tour and couldn't be happier with the congeniality of everyone of all ages!! Ireland is a beautiful country! Thank you Collette Tours!
-
TourI think my least favorite hotel was Limerick but all others wonderful! Wish we could have an extra night at Cabra Castle - how beautiful!

ServiceOur guide and staff were top notch. Rebecca Bell was our guide and she added all kinds of personal extras for customer enjoyment and service. Accomodations were also excellent as well as nearly all of the tour features. The Guinnes tour was disappointing but you have already rsponded to that very satisfactorily. In all a great experience and I would travel with and recommend Collette to anyone.

ServiceFirst off Ireland is beyond beautiful. Our host John Fitzgibbons was superb. He was funny, entertaining and the most knowledgeable person I have known. Our coach driver John Mulryan has to be one the best drivers in Ireland. He was so polite and was always helping us on and off the bus. The places we visited were all breath taking.

TourTouring the Guiness Brewery in Dublin
-
-
Well run tour and Erin, our guide, did an outstanding job.
-
ServiceThe tour was well done except for the fact that my friend and I were left at Cabra Castle (which is way off the beaten path) with no transportation back to Dublin since we were staying four extra days in Dublin. Had I know sooner that this might be a problem I would have made arrangement for a way to get back to Dublin. As it turns out, we were able to get a car and driver but that wasn't a given.
-
TourSeeing the country side was beautiful and special, something you wouldn't get on a cruise. The Irish people are the most helpful and friendly that I've ever run into in my travels. The pubs and the Irish music were fun and festive. And all around good time.

Fair tour.

ServiceThere were too many little sites on the tour that were extra, not included in the tour. I've been on other tours where so many more sites were already included in the tour. Not enough historical information given out about Ireland. The tour manager took pictures along the way that he emailed to us at the end of the tour, which was a nice touch. Other than that, not too involved with the tour group.

ServiceFirst of all, Collette is one of the few tour companies that offers a tour of BOTH the Republic of Ireland AND Northern Ireland, and we wanted to tour both. Second, from the first inquiry right up through the last contact with our tour guide and driver, we were given superb service. All aspects of the tour were excellent! We all felt in expert hands the whole trip; the bus was comfortable; the hotels were great; and the tour guide (Erin Egresitz) was the perfect guide: friendly, bright, warm, welcoming, educational. Even on the last morning she was up to see us off at 5:00 AM (which she didn't need to do).

ServiceAs usual, Collette's service was excellent. Our guide was the best one I've had in all 4 of my Collette trips. He was very well organized, and everything was always on time. The hotel choices were great and they contributed to the excellent service as well. John was an exceptional guide. He kept things running smoothly, could answer any question and gave us an excellent history lesson. He kept us well informed of our itinerary for a few days at a time so we knew what was coming up. And of course his jokes were great! I still plan on going to New Zealand some day and will try to have him as my guide.

TourThis tour was my favourite of the 4. The country is small so there isn't too much travel time between stops, leaving us more time to sight see. The choices of places to stop was terrific. It was varied, and offered us a glimpse of different ways of life in different parts of the country. My favourite place was "The Cliff of Moher". They were spectacular. Just awe inspiring. But by far, my favourite city was Derry. I'm so glad I chose to take the Northern Ireland trip as well. It was truly amazing. The people were so genuine and Derry was just a great city. I loved Ireland so much that I plan to return in a few years. This is something I don't do because there are so many places to see that I prefer to go somewhere new each time. But Ireland has a special place in my heart.

Best Vacation EVER!!!!

ServiceThe service was exemplary. We could not have asked for a better tour guide, driver or general experience. I have already praised Collette to my friends and family.

TourFor the price we were very satisfied. Not once did we feel we over paid for anything.

ServiceIt was difficult to get information from the service center. Need to have one or two people assigned to the tour. Long wait time and numerous call backs need to be reduced. HIRE MORE SEASONED REPS

Great trip!

ServiceIt was my second Collette Tour. Initial contact with Daryl and his follow up, answering questions, making suggestions, arranging the flight, etc., made this a very pleasant experience. Trip was just as described. Met all expectations.
-
TourTour not only had organized, group activities, but allowed enough enough time to explore things that were individual preferences.

ServiceOur tour guide Erin was fantastic! She kept everyone on schedule and was very knowledgeable about Ireland. We were on time for everything and all went smoothly. I was celebrating my 50th birthday and what a way to celebrate! I would definitely book another tour with Collette in the future.
-
TourI would have to say Blarney Castle and kissing the stone.

ServiceI always book my air travel thru Collette as I feel it helps to eliminate any scheduling issues relating to the start of the tour. For the first time, I received a call from the air travel dept. asking if I would be interested in rebooking my air to leave from a closer airport at a reduced cost. Collette didn’t have to do this and while it ultimately didn’t happen because of a scheduling change on the airline’s part, I was impressed that Collette “was keeping an eye”on my reservation.

TourThe entire tour was memorable. I only found one hotel to be sub par(in Waterford) perhaps it was the best available for the area. Our Tour Manager was FANTASTIC. This is the second trip I have taken with Collette where our Tour Manager was a native of the country. This makes all the difference in the world. It adds a layer to the tour that can not be explained in the brochures. One gets a real insight into the hearts and minds of the people whose country you are visiting and that really can make all the difference.
