Everything went smoothly. Took our first Collette tour last year and came back for another this year. It is a first-class operation.

Covered a lot of territory and the pace was just right. We saw everything we had hoped for. Denali Park was superb.
  • Very Positive Experience.

Collette’s service has been above average/good every time I have dealt with them, both in planning the trip I just took (July) and also two years ago to the Canadian Rockies. They are professional, helpful and listen well to understand my needs and answer any questions I may have had.

I most enjoyed our coach driver, Lane, who was employed by Premier Alaska Tours. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He was well versed in Alaska history and is a year around resident of Anchorage. He worked extra hours at times to transport us to local grocery stores a couple of times. He and our tour manager, Caryn Cook, worked well as a team. We did not know until the tour was over that they had never met until the day we departed Anchorage. The first of two things that prevents me from assigning a five star rating is that I think at times we made unnecessary stops (likely to promote the local economy) and we did not have enough down time. Traveling on a motor coach is tiring and we covered many miles most days. We did not arrive at our hotels with enough time to unwind prior to being expected to go to dinner. As well, lunch was often too late to be ready for an early dinner. In other words, time management was an issue on more than one or two different travel days. I do understand that geographical proximities to our destinations had to govern locations for stops and lodging. It was an exhausting trip, although very memorable. I will look back with many fond memories. The second thing is the accommodations in both Anchorage and Tok. The Golden Bear Motel in Tok is truly bare bones with few amenities, although clean. Worse than that, the Anchorage Hilton is overdue for room renovations, for two reasons. There are are towel racks and no exhaust fans. Those are both glaring omissions. The breakfast buffet was very good at the Hilton, but no towel racks? Really? No exhaust fans? Really?

Between the fantastic tour guide *Personal details removed by Feefo* and expert driver/commentator *Personal details removed by Feefo* the group and the sights the trip was fantastic but not for one who desires sleeping in each day. My wife and I wold do the trip again in a heart beat!

I'm not much of a shopper but the sights were fantaastic. I just wish there had been more time to "explore" the wilderness areas we visited.
