Fantastic tour with Collette. Our tour guide was the best!
-
ServiceFantastic travel experience with Collette! We had a great family vacation and it was largely due to great coordination and a schedule that was kept on time and professional! Our tour guide, Derek, made this trip fantastic. He was on top of everything and added a lot of humour to each day as well!
-
TourSuperb intiniery with the right amount of time at each stop and in each city!

-
I highly recommend Collette and and this music city tour!
-
ServiceEverything was great and we got to experience Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans in one trip. Hotels were great, excursions were fun and very different, from the Grand Old Opry to Streamboat ride down the Mississippi, Swamp tour with alligators, Christmas show with Trace Atkins, tour of Graceland, Enjoyed all the country music on Broadway in Nashville and jazz on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. We recorded “jingle bells” in the RCA studio B and listened to our recording on the bus riding down the road. Country Music Hall of Fame was fun, a lot memorabilia. Tours of the 3 cities was interesting. Tour manager Sam was great as well as our driver Angela. Everything was well planned and we got to see many things and experience many things. We had lots of FUN!

TourWe had no problems everything went smoothly. It was a little to munch walking in New Orleans but that cannot be avoided unless there would be smaller vehicles order to take people from the hotel to dinner etc. Not sure that would be feasible.

TourEverything! It is a vacation we would do again and again!

-
Informative good time trip with very good director. Except for the concern
-
ServiceMy major concern, and the reason I did not give them 5 stars is that when we landed in New Orleans, the transfer service from the airport to the Sheraton New Orleans hotel was not up to the normal Collette standards. It took 90 minutes for us to make what was supposed to be a 30 minute trip. I was very disappointed. With the cost of the tour I would have thought they would supply a more professional transfers service. You could have probably given me a vouchers for a cab service. Would have probably only cost about $30. Poor decision on Collette for keeping a frequent customer happy. I would like to get a response from Collette about this.

ServiceIt was a great tour with wonderful sights. The swamp tour was fun, especially when we could hold the small alligator and watch them feed the larger alligators marshmallows on a stick. I liked that we could take the shuttle to the jazz festival on our own schedule from the hotel. If you wanted to spend more or less time at the festival it was very convenient. We spent a lot of time at the festival but others on the tour did not. It worked well for everyone and no one was disappointed or frustrated that they couldn't do what they wanted. The only bad part in New Orleans was the walking tour of the French Quarter. The guide was very unpleasant. She thought she knew everything and argued with my husband over a statue that he had questioned her about. She really didn't know the answer but turned out what she had said was incorrect. She also put down the other lady on the tour for not listening when she didn't understand American History because she was from Australia. The bus tour sounded better and I wish we had taken it. We were given coupons for beignets and a drink at Café du Monde that I thought we were going to use while on the walking tour but it turned out we didn't have time and had to use them another time. The tour was so packed that it was hard to find time. We finally used them at night after the final jazz festival day. We really enjoyed the New Orleans Cooking School and came home with a few great recipes. The stop at the Picadilly Cafeteria in Jackson, MS brought back memories from when I was a kid visiting my grandparents in Florida and we would eat their often. The Guest House at Graceland was a very nice hotel. We could have used another day at Graceland with all the new exhibits. We only had time to do the Mansion but I would have loved to see more. I guess we could have spent more time there but we opted for the optional tour that was also very good. The tour guide at Sun Studios was excellent and he and another guide even performed for us. The dinner at the hotel was OK but really enjoyed the dinner on the optional tour. The stop at the Belle Meade Plantation was very nice and the lunch they prepared for us was excellent. It really made us feel special the way they treated us. Loved the Opryland Hotel. It was beautiful and I was so glad I took a late flight home on the last day so we could spend the day exploring the hotel. I'm not a big fan of country music but enjoyed the RCA Studio B tour where we recorded a CD. We enjoyed the dinner at the Opryland Grill and the musical entertainers and waiters. We had great seats at the Ryman Auditorium for the country classics show but it was disappointing that we never got to see the new Oprlyand Theater that I had asked about before booking the tour and was told we would see it. The tour was jam packed with music and the tour guide suggested locations to hear even more music when we had free time. Our guide enjoyed all types of music and even played "Happy Birthday" on her traveling violin for my husband's birthday on the bus. The coach driver was very nice and competent.

Serviceexcellent guide and bus driver who accommodated my wife's needs as she uses a wheel chair to get around
-
Tourthe music was great, however getting to the venue was complicated by the set up.. there was no area for bus drop off close to the entrance. This wasted significant time to be at the festival.
-
-
Interesting well planned tour.
-
ServiceThey were very efficient and the trip was well planned out and interesting Also the staff was friendly and had answers to our questions.
-
TourI thought what we received was good value with the exception on one dinner.
-
-
-
ServiceYes, I would buy them again. But the groups are getting too big. They seem to incorporate other traveling groups and they do not mingle. They stick by them selves for the most part. One thing we did not like, the group leader would change how things are planned, making some days overly filled with activities to do and then some days with very little.
-
TourIf you love music, this is highly recommended. but there is too much time in New Orleans and perhaps you should add another day in Memphis and another day in Nashville. Many museums and places to see in those two cities. Noot so much in New Orleans.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to America's music cities. All feedback is influential in addition to being an important means through which we work to improve our product, service and customer satisfaction. We are grateful for your business and hope to see you again on another Collette tour.

ServiceCollette were superb. They were helpful in every way. Their tour manager Kim was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for her. She helped me with a tricky problem, on my arrival in New Orleans. I would not hesitate to travel with them again, and will recommend them to my friends.
-
TourEvery trip on our tour was skilfully arranged. My favourite was the visit to the RCA studio B.

Great holiday shame about the tour manager.
-
ServiceOut travel arrangements were not very good. We were to have a 7 hour stop over at Newark airport, this turned into a 10 hour stop over. The airline had put on another plane to take those of us who were waiting to New Orleans, by the time we arrived at our hotel my husband and I had been travelling for 26 1/2 hours. We were absolutely exhausted. Then we had a few hours sleep before we had to go for breakfast before the tour managers meeting. At the end of the meeting she made no attempt to try and find who we were and ask if we were alright. My husband and I went and introduced ourselves and explained how awful our journey had been, it was obvious that she had no interest in what had happened. Also when we arrived at New Orleans airport, we were waiting at the carousel for our luggage, which did not arrive. I was about to go and look for someone to say that our luggage had not arrived. However, as I turned round to check that there was no one about I noticed some luggage that had been put to one side. This indicates that our luggage was put on a different flight. There was no one around that we could speak to about it. We were so tired and angry we just wanted to get to the hotel for some rest. Although my husband and I enjoyed the tour we felt it could have been better if had been a few days longer. An extra day in Memphis and Nashville. I know that involves costs but would have been worth it. The downside for us was the tour manager, she was too full of her own importance and she had her favourites. On our first night in New Orleans when we went to dinner, my husband and I were on our own she made no attempt to find us seats with others in the group. Quite a few of the other tour members came up and said that they were sorry that they didn't realise that we were sitting on our own some said that there had been room at their tables. Samantha made no attempt to look. Samantha also did not do her homework regarding public transport in Memphis and Nashville. My husband and I were walking around the hotel in Nashville just to get our bearings and I found a leaflet at the registration in the Cascades lobby. It is a Resort Guide covering the dates from March 16 - 23. It gives information about the shuttle services to the shopping mall to and from downtown and the airport. Surely we should have been given one of those on arrival. I know these comments are very negative but this was due to Samantha. My husband and I were not the only ones not happy with her there were a quite a few others. I have to say that Alvin the driver was absolutely wonderful. I have arthritis in my knees and good and he could not have been more helpful at getting me on and off the bus. He is definitely an asset to the company.
-
TourOverall tour was excellent. Sun studios, Rca studios. Graceland would have been better with more time.
-
-
-
ServiceI thought overall it was a great trip!!! If you want to step back in time to the Elvis days, this is your trip.
-
TourI think hotels should have ben better located. Example: Peabody Hotel in Memphis.

ServiceThe choices for the hotels was excellent. The location of the hotels were convenient for the free times that were scheduled. The bus driver was excellent. She was very helpful to the older folks on the trip, especially helping them to safely leave the bus.

ServiceGreat choice of cities. Great mix of music, culture and cuisine. Just enough down time.
-
TourGreat all around - music culture cuisine

-
First rate tour company with fine leadership and wonderful accommodations.
-
ServiceThe itinerary was excellent. We were busy with interesting and exciting excursions and activities much of the time, yet we also had a bit of down time to digest the experiences. Our tour manager, Molly Cashen, was absolutely the best. She was a friendly, knowledgeable, considerate, and energetic leader of our group of 40 wonderful folks. My wife and I wouldn't hesitate to take other Collette tours in the future.
-
TourThe tour was jammed packed with wonderful stops, museums, recording studios, city environs and culture. We also walked away with a fine appreciation of the birth and development of the three major musical genres: the Blues, Jazz, and Country.

ServiceCollette tours are always put together well, with knowledgeable guides and interesting things to see and do.A person can enjoy themselves and not have to think about where to go and what to see.

TourMy favorite part was the French Quarter in New Orleans, the food, the music, just being a part of it all.

ServiceTours were great except for the city bus tour in New Orleans. The city guide was terrible. The hotels Carey's in the room were dirty and the room cleaning service not great
-
TourBed time was grand ole opery and Graceland as well the recording studios were great.
-
-
Hotel rooms all dirty carpets and not cleaned well.

ServiceWe had a awsome bus driver. Our tour guide was also very good.
-
TourThe recording studio's were the best.
-
-
Great experience- had a good time, but to much in 8 days
-
ServiceOverall the experience was positive, but it was a rocky start. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no information regarding a Collette tour. There was no meet and greet on Sat. My companion called Providence to see what was going on. There should have been some info upon arrival. It is my first tour that there was not some kind of greeting on the day of arrival..
-
TourA lot was covered in 8 days. I think it would have been better to do 10days or skip New Orleans. It was an 8 hour ride from N.O. to Memphis. I do enjoy the trip and Molly worked hard to provide information.
-
-
-
ServiceThey shared great information about the cities, obtained tickets for us, (ie. Grand old oprey), so we did not have to wait on lines) and were always available to help.
-
TourWe thoroughly enjoyed being exposed to good music, appreciated the historical value of each, participated in all. Gained appreciation for beautiful city of Nashville.
-
-
Great experience - no hassle
-
ServiceKim was very attentive, informative and amusing. All the arrangements worked perfectly despite a few hiccoughs which were outside her control. All handled extremely well
-
TourIt achieved everything it set out to do. The locations and visits were excellent with the exception of Graceland where there were enormous queues, little ongoing status information and nothing to keep us entertained while waiting for the shuttle bus. Not Collette's fault but some participants may have preferred to see more music in Memphis instead. The tour was full of interest, great hotels and a great deal achieved in a week. Favourite memorable experience was Nashville, where the group recorded an Elvis song, and the honkytonk venues. I would love to return there one day
-
-
-
ServiceOur guide Molly was terrific! Very helpful and always available. Activities in Memphis and Nashville were well paced and there was plenty to see and do. New Orleans could have used more activities. A little more time in Nashville would have been nice. Not enough time to do Music Hall of fame and explore the hunky Toni's downtown
-
TourThe chosen activities were all excellent! We did all of the important things; more optional activites in New Orleans would have been beneficial. Also, a welcoming drink, dinner or meeting would have been helpful. It would have also helped to orient people. We didn't get together until it was time for a tour.
-
-
Unfortunately not a good review so very disappointed
-
ServiceBeen on many collette tours and this was the worst. Enjoyed most other tours but this one was boring and no thought put into tours. Did you consider the age of people who usually take these tours. I could not believe an all day bus ride it was absolutely ridiculous and if I wanted to go to wal-mart I could have stayed home. New Orleans was horrible we had so much free time it was a waste of money and would not recommend this tour - Memphis wasn't much better however enjoyed Nashville although insulted with the seats you provided us for grand ole opry felt greatly insulted . This was not a cheap tour and was so very disappointed. We have done the California coast tour, the Grand Canyon tour, the southern charm tour and those are just a few and they were AWESOME but would not recommend this tour at all. Both Sheraton hotels were aweful I can't believe I am saying this about a COLLETTE TOUR. The food provided was alright not great. I was so very disappointed. I did hear that you changed some of the tour by eliminating some things so disappointed. I still can't believe we were on a bus for 7 hours going from one city to another (paid 3000.00) to sit on a bus for 7 hours and this was not explained in your brochure
-

ServiceA well organised trip. Places visited were well chosen and interesting.
-
TourThe visits to the RCA and Sun studios were the highlights for me. The BBQ meal in Memphis was not that good, I thought the venue was below par.
-
-
Wonderful and fun trip!
-
ServiceWell organized and tours were run well. Tour guide *Personal Details removed by Feefo* was attentive and did a great job. We were surprised that the tour did not follow the itinerary shown in Collette's guide book. Day 6 for example, indicated a tour of the Belle Meade Plantation, culinary and wine tasting experience and a tour of a historic distillery. These things did not occur on out trip.
-
TourLoved the Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Land hotel.

ServiceCollette does everything well. Can't wait to book my next trip!

TourGreat trip. Well planned! Excellent tour manager.
-
-
A very memorable holiday. Would strongly recommend.
-
ServiceThe music cities tour was so successful mainly due to the excellent guide, (personal details removed by Feefo) who clearly has a passion for music. Before we arrived at every destination (personal details removed by Feefo) gave us a very comprehensive history of th music. The venues we visited were so interesting. The hotels were very good with a high standard of catering. Dinners at local restaurants were excellent. The journeys by coach were very comfortable and very well driven. The Collette booklet 'Holiday Documents' was excellent - concise and informative.
-
TourI enjoyed every destination. Each one was different. As a music lover it was perfect. We were lucky with the group too, we all got on so well. It was a lot of fun. Thank you for th memories.
-
-
-
ServiceThe amount of walking in New Orleans was underrated in your catalogue. I would not have chosen this tour if it was rated a 3 instead of a 2. This was not a really knowledgeable tour guide. She seemed to know most of the nightclubs and very little about music in these towns in comparison. It was called a music tour. In here defense she was always on time, seemed genuinely helpful and caring. I am sure she will become a better guide with more experience.

A diverse and well organized trip to some fun music cities.
-
ServiceTour director(personal details removed by Feefo) was excellent...she was humorous and well organized. All aspects of the trip operated smoothly. Bus driver(personal details removed by Feefo) was also excellent. Great personality and very good at driving us to our destinations.
-
TourGreat combination of fun cities, good food, history and great music. Favorite moment...Graceland and the recording studios that Elvis made most of his music.
-
-
Great tour if you love country music and southern hospitality.
-
ServiceThe tour on a whole was very good. Our director was spectacular - patient and very personable and willing to help in every way possible. The bus was new and was very comfortable and our driver was perfection - safe, kind and caring. the hotels were very nice and very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was plentiful and made to order if you wished. The places we visited were great but the steamboat ride was a little disappointing because the Mississippi River side is so industrial and not very attractive to see. I would have preferred to stay only two days in New Orleans and three days in Nashville since there is so much more to see and that is of interest. The only two restaurants that were not good was the New Orleans Cookery and the Central Barbecue place near Dr. King's assassination. All of the other places were delicious. I would recommend this Music City Tour to friends. Loved RCA studio, Elvis Mansion and the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Museum. Also enjoyed BB King's club for blues & dancing. The gentlemen that taught us New Orleans cooking talked too much and we didn't get to eat until 9 PM. We were all hungry.
-
TourOverall the tour, the hotels and most of the places of interest in the music cities were great.
-
-
Magnificent.

ServiceThis has been the most delightful experience. Our tour guide Derek was absolutely brilliant. He went the extra mile for everyone. The tour was so well organised and the tourist attractions were magnificent. I would have no problem recommending Collette to other travellers. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and I was never disappointed with anything. Thank you for my most memorable trip. Ten times better than I had anticipated. 10 out of 10 on all counts. Thank you. Elizabeth Reid.

ServiceFrom the beginning, they make it easy. The people who answer phone, very helpful. The tour guides are well informed and personable. The trips planned well.
-
TourIt had everything I wanted to see. too much walking for my husband I think should have been a 3. I don't think you should have to choose a walking tour or a bus tour at time of signing up. Best to have the tour manager tell you what is involved. I called and spoke to agents but they weren't positive about either. All but 2 took the bus tour and you saw much more than you would when you walk. We would not have seen Esplanade Ave, the cemeteries and more if we walked. I believe the walk was just the French Quarter and a little more. Loved the bus tour!

Looking forward th taking another tour with him!

This tour needs some work.
-
ServiceI have taken 5 tours in the last few years and this one was just okay. It is billed as a music tour but there was no music in NO unless you bought the extra jazz afternoon or searched it out yourself. The dinner on Sept. 13th should have been someplace with live music and better food. Hotels were lovely but the one ulin Memphis needs to be closer to the action. The Opry Hotel was beautiful but far away from the downtown area. The cooking school dinner was excellent as well as the Grand Old Opry.. More time was needed for the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tour of RCA Studio B was excellent. The included dinners were just okay. I am not sure that they were worth the extra cost of a Collette Tour. Usually we would have a really fancy meal in our last hotel. Not another BBQ. The last dinner was okay but we were rushed through and didn't have enough time to really enjoy the music. We could have stayed but would be responsible for our own way back to the Hotel. This wouldn't be a problem if we were more centrally located. I was very surprised that there was not a meet and greet the night before in a room in the hotel. It would have made for a less chaotic Monday morning especially since there was the option of two different activities. Also having to pay for a bottle of water was not acceptable. Free cold water should have been offered at each stop. I have traveled with full coaches and keeping water in a cooler in the baggage compartment has never been an issue. Our tour guide was most helpful and always courteous.

ServiceTrip was well organized, we were kept busy. The quality of the tours excellent, nicest group of people I've traveled with in a long time. It was nice to see the Peabody Hotel but waiting for those ducks was a complete waste of time. New Orleans was great, I would do that again

TourSelection of tours was great, restaurants very good. Saw lots of good things. Transportation was well arranged.

Servicelots of insight info on each of the places visited, stories that we never knew. The driver , Andréa was outstanding. However the 2 dinners in New Orleans at the cooking class and Creole cookery were not the best choices for that kind of crusine in our opinion Peacock hotel duck was a lot of fun to see
-
TourRCA studio B, Graceland, fritzels great musicians Pirates Bar next door Hotel locations were great 3 sisters excellent In our opinion the choices for restaurant's in the Gaylord resort lacked choices other then fast food type dinners Only one really expensive restaurant had any decent food.

Colette not up to their usual standard.
-
ServiceThis Collette tour wasn't up to the standard we have come to know based on previous tours which have been exceptional. Our tour manager seemed to spend more time chatting to our driver than to us. He wasn't very helpful or informative at all.
-
TourThe tour overall was only average, just! Most memorable for me was our visit to The Grand Ole Opry plus the friendliness of the other passengers on the coach. Should have been Graceland but not enough time allowed to have a proper look round.

Colette this tour was not up to your usual standard.
-
ServiceA complete and utter shambles. Completely dis-organised. Day one had to walk in the pouring rain to have a meal ( the meal at The Court of Two Sisters was not to a good standard the three man band played three tunes and that was it ). None of the inclusive meals were to a good standard. My high light of the vacation was to be Gracelands ( one hour to tour Gracelands not enough time ) the Collette rep ************* was not to a good standard and he ruined my vacation. So therefore to sum up my vacation disappointing and a waste of money.
-
TourAll inclusive meals and hotels not to a Collette standard. Memorable experience: When it was over.

ServiceThe trip and Tour Manager was amazing, I loved every minute of it. The choice of hotels and locations were very well though out and the tour Manager went beyond the call of duty.

TourVisiting the clubs in Bourbon Street New Orleans, and the visit to the Grand Ole Opry

The tour got better as we went. Nashville was a great way to end, especially at the Gaylord Opreyland facility.
-
ServiceI would rather pay up front than to have to tip so many times. I also would have liked a get together on the first night so that we could get to know other tourist. The way it was the tour was almost over before we could make the rounds to meet everyone. Our tour guide did a great job with what she was asked to do, but would have enjoyed a beginning and ending evening get together.

ServiceMy tour guide made this trip an especially good one. He was always helpful, looked out for everyone's interest and was fun to be with too..

TourI loved the majority of this trip...I had already been to New Orleans and would have preferred the bus tour to the walking tour in the French This was a great tour for me, since I love music...given the mobility and age of the group, it would have been better to do a morning sight-seeing tour of New Orleans by bus as opposed to the walking tour of the French Quarter,,which really could be done on your own since our hotel was basically in the French Quarter, I personally would have preferred this because I wanted to get a feel of other parts of the city ie the Garden District, Treme etc. Other than that it was a great tour for me... I cant say the same for others as they only seemed to be interested in Graceland ,, Also, some of the restaurants were better than others, especially in New Orleans... I would have preferred a different restaurant in Memphis...All in all, it was a comprehensive tour with a wonderful and accommodating tour guide...Derek was just the best....

Good trip but organization and literature could of been more accurate.
-
ServiceOur latest trip on the Music tour of NOLA, Memphis and Nashville was good but not well organized. The intro package said one thing, the notice we got at the hotel said another and we were on our own too much. At first we thought we were at the wrong hotel since the literature said to meet at a different place, a second Sheraton. You should drop the Sheraton on Canal in New Orleans due to poor service. Two of our 4 day stay did not even make up the room until after 6pm. Had a good time though.
-
TourSee above. The Sheraton on Canal in New Orleans was poor with our rooms not cleaned until after 6 pm. Please drop this hotel.

TourGaylord Opryland hotel was spectacular. After that nothing quite was the same. The other hotels were good, but not spectacular like tapas hotel. There were so many experiences.....the grand ole Opry,Graceland and the French quarter were fabulous.
