About This Tour

Print

Journey from the Land of the Incas to the Galápagos archipelago, enjoying a 4-night cruise aboard a personal yacht. Delve deep into ancient cultures at Machu Picchu – the fabled lost city. Explore UNESCO-designated Spanish colonial cities and stand between two hemispheres at the Equatorial Line. Experience the best of the Galápagos archipelago, where an abundance of natural wildlife recalls Darwin’s theories in a pristine world that’s virtually unspoiled. You’ll encounter hidden wonders in Peru, the “Middle of the World” in Ecuador, and see ethereal wildlife on a cruise along Eden-like islands.

Great experience, guides were fantastic, but make sure second sunrise tour is not the same loop as the first as you will see the exact same things.

Our tour guide Elliott was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable, friendly. And very helpful to people. This is my third cola tour and I think he was the best one so far.. the other two are guys that we had on our excursions were very good also. All in all it was a fantastic tour and they got on the Galapagos. The staff was very nice helpful and the food was pretty good. Also my daughter and I are going to book, one of your drawers to Africa fall 2025 we’re just waiting for the information to show up on Colettes site .

A fabulous introduction to South America for us and a great combination of tours and locales! I learned so much about the history and culture from all the very knowledgeable and friendly guides...spectacular scenery and the highlight for me was exploring the Galapagos and swimming with wild sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguanas and millions of beautiful tropical fish...:-) The whole experience was first class and well thought out. Our tour manager, Edward, was outstanding and made our time comfortable and stress free!

Our Guide Ellioth "Elliot" was amazing! I have been on many tours and expeditions but never had a guide that knew, or found out anything from information on our travel times to knowing more about his home countries history and neighboring country of Ecuador history better than I know American History and I have a degree in it. My day was always full of fun excitement and things I have never seen before and may never again. The detail in the travel and tours were planned out so one never felt really rushed. Remember this is a TOUR not a Vacation. There is a lot of walking and physical activity but after watching one individual in our group I am now convinced everyone who can manage 20 to 30 stairs at a time with breaks will be fine. The guides work at the groups pace and the group if they are good help the others when and if needed. The terrain is not flat or paved lots of place. Wear comfortable shoes. Underwater camera is recommended in my opinion. Binoculars I also highly recommend. For snorkeling they will let you use life rings and more buoyant if you struggle with your face in the water. Snorkeling off the beach is easier than off the side of a zodiac. SUN SCREEN, HAT, SUN GLASSES...DON'T FORGET THESE!! One more fun thing that I learned on the trip is that people in Peru and Ecuador LOVE $2 BILLS. 2 dollar bills are considered lucky and rare, so if you want to make your guide and other locals that assist you on your adventures day better take some with! THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
