This tour had the perfect amount of guided touring and free time to explore. Our tour manager and guides were super knowledgeable, helpful, and respectful of everyone’s physical ability. I’m not a hotel snob so I didn’t pay attention to the accommodations when I booked. It was a that many hotels were 5 star. There was so much variety with the hotel breakfasts.

From start to finish the trip was excellent. Very active trip but we enjoyed every minute and the small group was a lot of fun. Our guides and tour manager were very engaging and knowledgeable. We were able to relax and enjoy while our manager kept us well informed and offered suggestions during our free time.

The view at Machu Picchu. The climb was horrendous. I suggested the easier route to our guide but he refused to take us that way.

Excellent exposure to the varied areas of Peru. Our tour director, David, was great and tried to make sure everyone could experience everything to varying degrees. Loved Machu Pichu at dawn and exploring the Peruvian Amazon. Food was an unexpected bonus - varies and delicious.

When we experienced the lifestyle of the modern Andean people and get to know their culture and traveled to a nearby Quechua community to interact with the locals. The train ride to Machu Picchu, and Machu Picchu was a lifetime experience, loved it. Loved the shores of Lake Titicaca, known as the birthplace of the Inca Empire. a highlight was visiting the floating island on Lake Titicaca, and meeting the amazing people that live their. Would love to go back.

There was a lot to like about the tour. Some of the scenery is stunning, and it is interesting to experience the food and culture of the nation. The hotels were great. I think the dollar is very strong in Peru. We had an excellent tour manager. The low oxygen in the air at high altitudes is real and caught me by surprise even though maybe it should not have done so. I found this trip more arduous than just about any other trip I’ve taken. And in addition, some members of our family dealt with fairly significant travelers diarrhea, which took away From the experience. All in all I feel that I personally had a very good trip.

A wonderful experience. But be prepared for the altitude….they say the altitude pills help, but you really need to stay for a few weeks to get fully acclimated. David was our tour manager and I cannot say enough positive attributes he exhibited. He is by far the best thing about this tour, besides the wonderful sights and people you’ll meet.

Tour Manager was excellent. All arrangements were handled extremely well with some flexibility added in by the manager. The size of the tour group was perfect ... about 20 individuals. Hotels were excellent and added some very personal touches at the request of our Tour Manager.

The tour was excellent, but very tiring as I am not a morning person. I would have preferred to start a bit later and finish a bit later each day. Instead of 8am to 4pm each day, I would have preferred the tour to be from 10am to 6pm.

I like the experience but I will not do it again. I dislike the transfers/travel by planes so many time during the duration of the trip. I feel like, I lost time by flying while I could have visited a local area. The food was not the best. I also dislike the last day of the Amazon tour where I have to wait over 9 hours to fly home with no accommodation during this time, no hotel room to rest or a guide to take me on a tour. This was unacceptable and very poor planning.
