We are actively monitoring the discussions in Congress over federal funding, and the potential impact on our tours visiting Federal Sites & National Parks across the United States.

Without an agreement between the House, Senate and White House, the government will shut down on Saturday September 30, 2023 at midnight. The impact to our Tours will be limited to those visiting some Federal Sites & National Parks across the country. Some states including Utah, Arizona and Colorado have indicated that they will provide the necessary funding to keep the National Parks operating. Other states are considering similar measures.

If we are unable to operate or your tour is altered due to the government shutdown, we will contact you directly prior to departure.

From the Road: Iceland

The month of March was frequented by volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, blizzards, rainbows, northern lights and geothermal pools; where might I be to have all of these natural wonders in one month? Iceland, the land of fire and ice. I truly discovered firsthand the country’s famed personality of being a land forged by these vast contracts. Surrounded by stories of volcanism, geo-longevity, and ever changing weather, Iceland never fails to surprise neither the locals nor the visitors.

Collette recognizes the uniqueness of Iceland as a destination, which is why I have taken the time to explore as many dirt roads, local stories, and odd ends, leaving no basalt stone unturned! I am thrilled Collette now offers programs to Iceland, year round, allowing guests to enjoy both the warmth of long summer days and the light shows of the winter’s aurora borealis. People tend to say Iceland is unlike any other destination they have or will ever visit; comparable to exploring the moon. So if you are eager to venture into a destination unlike this world, Iceland is calling for you!
