Excellent Tour Manager, Olivia, kept us together, was very well informed! Excursions were interesting. Transfers were timely and smooth transition. Enjoyed the group on tour, although 42 was too many! Loved the places we visited, Athens, Mykonos, Santotini and Istanbul were interesting and well planned dinners and tours. I want to say everything was so memorable. I loved seeing the Parthenon and hear all about Athena. When we went to Mykonos that was just amazing and I got to go to the beach there. Watching the sunset both in Mykonos and Santorini was amazing. Going on the cruise to watch the sunset and getting to walking on a volcano. Visiting Delos wish I had more time by myself but it was still good. I loved the views and my balcony in Mykonos. The views everywhere was just so amazing Oh and the blue domes in Santorini was just picture perfect.Laura Barefoot

The land tour was excellent, but airline schedule was bad. We were not able to attend the briefing and barely made it to the welcome dinner. No time to freshen up upon arrival. The return flight schedule back home was also bad. Our farewell dinner ended late , then we needed to be picked up at 2:30 am for a 5:30 flight.. Then we had a 6 hour layover in Amsterdam. We were exhausted from no sleep at all. We’ve been awake since 5:00 am day before, as we have to fly from Santorini back to Athens., then our farewell dinner in the evening.. No sleep for over 30 hours. Collette tours should be more considerate in booking airline flights, as your customers get tired too.

.Our tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. There was a good balance of guided activities and down time to enjoy the local sites on our own. That only issue we had was that we came in a day early. Through Collette we booked, and paid for the upgraded room we expected with Collette. The room we got was the most disgusting room I have ever seen. It smelled of mold and had dirt falling from where the ceiling didn’t meet up to the wall. We were moved the next day to the area of everyone else in th group and the room was nicer but we almost left that first night. The hotels on the islands were excellent.

We were not met at airport when returning . We had to call emergency number on leaflet . Took hours . Rooms were not ready even when they were supposed to be . Bathrooms showers were poor . Christina was good but we got lost a few times on our own waiting for rooms .

The accommodations were excellent, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and also took the time to make sure we saw the local culture and sights even if they were not part of the actual tour. I absolutely loved Mykonos including the winds and the cliffs of Santorini looked as if they were straight out of a picture book. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience a little bit of Greece. Oh, and the sunsets are amazing. :)Dawn Pickett

There were so many memorable moments. Every day there was a new favorite. Our tour guide, Demitris, was incredible. The knowledge he had about the history was non stop. We did not experience any issues at all. Everything was in place when we arrived at each hotel. The tour options given and the tours that were included gave enough time for us to explore on our own. It was a perfect mix. I will be traveling with Collette again!

Greece was beautiful and Petros our tour manager was fabulous from the minute he met us till departure. He was so knowledgeable and went over and beyond to make this trip a 5 star adventure. I fell in Mykonos and broke my wrist and Petros stayed with me the entire ordeal and carried my suitcase and kept in touch with me constantly. This was such an amazing tour. It was a great opportunity to visit Greece and see multiple places. Our tour manager, Petros, did a phenomenal job of sharing information about his country and culture all while keeping us organized and entertained. All accommodations, transportation, tour guides etc. were top notch. The trip had the perfect balance of scheduled activities and free time. During our free time we enjoyed walking around town (shopping and eating) exploring different areas on our own (with recommendations and assistance from our tour manager). We relaxed by the pool and a small area near our hotel where we were able to walk to the Aegean Sea. We did the Flavors of Mykonos and Island sunset cruise add ons. They were my two favorite parts of the trip. The tour did involve lots of walking including steps and uneven surfaces. Overall this was an unforgettable experience that I would absolutely recommend.Joan Goar

The hotel in Athens was horrible, and check in time was ridiculous, especially since it was a bad hotel. I would have assumed that Collette would have chosen something better given the cost of the trip. But, at a minimum, Collette should have had priority check in. The hotels in Mykonos and Santorini were fantastic. George, our tour guide was amazing and went out of his way to ensure guests had recommendations for things like dinner. Unfortunately there were guests on the tour who were ill and managed to make others sick too. My husband missed 2 days on the trip due to this, and I stayed back one of the days to make sure he was ok.

My most favorable experience was finally getting home. Tour manager was not at the hotel to greet me ( after a long flight to get to Athens). He finally showed up after having picked up other passengers at the airport and taken them to a restaurant because they were hungry. If he was going to be engaged in other functions, there should have been an assistant at the hotel to greet me. I flew all the way from California. Reception desk employees at the Athens hotel were rude and unfriendly with the exception of one blond woman. The others were all Greek men who were more interested in talking to each other than helping travelers. Hotel in Athens was located in a seedy ( sketchy) area.

Touring the Acropolis. The tour guide was exceptional. The sunset cruise, which was an optional tour. The tour was very good and relaxing, seeing many sites. My opinion was there was too much free time. We booked all the optional tours and still had a lot of free time. It would have been nice, instead of free time, to have a bus tour of the areas around Athens. The free time you got to go to bazaars and see restaurants. You can only buy so many souvenirs and eat so much. We were told that in Istanbul, you would need Turkish Lira, so we exchange over $600 US to Turkish Lira. While Athens was very nice to see the historic sites and Mykonos was beautiful with lots of shopping and farmer side trips, Santorini’s villages of Fira and Oia were magnificent with the excavations, beautiful architecture, views, volcano walk and sunset cruise were all spectacular! I was in awe of being on the Acropolis. Mykonos with its narrow streets taking us through a charming shopping district was fun. Historic buildings mixed in the shops added to the charm. Santorini was beautiful. The view of the Caldera is seared in my mind. A lot of walking but I did it. To be back in Athens on Good Friday was special. To be right on the street for the professional was solemn. I would like to thank Colette for the perfect scheduling of our trip. Weather was perfect and we missed the peak tourist season. Dino Lemesh was our guide and he was fabulous! Patient, knowledgeable, excited, helpful, funny, and with about 40 of us to rein in, he never lost his cool or his count of us!!! I especially like thed Akrotiri excursion, we had a great guide, again, super knowledgeable. All the bus drivers made me feel safe on those tight turns and narrow roads, whew! Free time was just right, lodgings were exceptionally lovely and comfortable. Restaurants were excellent choices who adjusted to some last minute changes with grace and smiles. My favorite experiences were the sunrises and sunsets across the Aegean Sea. The Acropolis and surrounding area from the rooftop of The Titania Hotel the first and last night of our tour was beautiful. I enjoyed the excavation site at the Prehistoric Town of Akrotiri and the Prehistoric Museum of Thera. Amazing 4000 year old relics in pristine condition. The farewell dinner and entertainment was most enjoyable! I did not like loading and unloading at the ferries, but it was a necessity.

The only problem I had was on the day we departed from Albertville. The bus was 45 minutes late picking us up. We were all worried we were going to miss the plane. Luckily we did not. Athens was great. The Plaka was unlike anything I've ever been to. Mykonos was amazing! I got lost the first day there downtown and missed the bus to the hotel. I had a wonderful time roaming around trying to find my way back to the bus. The food was very good. When I did get to the place for the bus it had already left. I got on the public bus and got off at Artimus bar. Ask them to call the hotel and let them know where I was and to send the shuttle to get me. Took another 30 - 45 minutes. It was great! I walked more than I have ever walked before. Santorini was beautiful. Oia was lovely and so interesting. The blue domed buildings were lovely. I enjoyed every experience I had there. If I could do it over again I would! This time I would rent a scooter and travel all over both Islands. Thank you very much.

Collette’s Greek Island Hopper tour has a wonderful pacing & balance between planned activities and free time. It was our first time to Greece, and we LOVED it. The amount of time in the massive, urban city of Athens could have been unnerving, but our guide helped us safely navigate the city and its attractions. The tour included the most iconic historic sites, and provided the insights of additional guides, specific to those sites, such as the Acropolis, Delis and Akrotiri. The inclusion of many meals made it stress free, and those meals were generally to highlight local cuisine, and quite high in quality. Additionally the environment and esthetic of those meals was always wonderful. When meals were not included, our primary tour guide, took the extra step to arrange reservations for the entire group - which cannot be an easy task for 43 people (she was not required to do this, but simply cared enough to want to make our experience positive and seamless)! We had 3 days and 3 nights on each of the islands - Mykonos and Santorini - and any less would have felt rushed. Each stay allowed us a full free day if we chose it, so even though there was an ambitious itinerary, there was still an opportunity to simply rest and enjoy the local color and beauty of each place. For our free day in Mykonos, we chose to rent a side-by-side, which was a remarkable (and inexpensive) opportunity to see the whole island at our own pace. For our free day in Santorini we enjoyed the resort pool, strolled the quaint nearby shops and relaxed on the picturesque black sand beach - only a few blocks from our hotel! On any tour, the guide creates the “vibe”, and ours was truly exceptional. Evi was hardworking, attentive, and detail oriented - putting in the extra effort that allowed us to relax, knowing we were in good hands. There were more than a few inordinate and challenging situations in our group, and she managed to navigate them all gracefully—including but not limited to an emergency room visit, lost group members, and a traffic snafu that left us stranded on a hillside for 3+ hours! It is easy to underestimate the flexibility and resourcefulness required to constantly shift and change to accommodate such a large group of people. Doing this job is not for the faint of heart! Tour was great, the only reason for an overall 4 was how tiring the trip home was. Best experience was the Sunset cruise. Food was outstanding. I have been on 2 Collette tours and impressed with both. Loved having the extra free time. Tour guides were great as was Evi. There are no words to describe this amazing trip. It was far beyond what I expected. From the beautiful scenery, great food, and great people I had the pleasure of traveling with, this was an experience of a lifetime. This was my first trip with Collette and my first trip outside of the US, and it exceeded all my expectations! I thought the pacing of the trip was great. The balance of time spent with tour guides versus time allowed to explore on our own was perfect - I didn’t feel rushed, and I was never bored. Our amazing tour manager, Evi, was always available to show us around and/or give us recommendations and tips of places to go and things to do. She was extremely personable and genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience. She was very adaptable - I decided to add one of the optional excursions while on the trip and she took care of it with no trouble. She was also very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions on the area and its history. It’s clear that she loves her job! She’s a huge part of what made the trip so enjoyable! As someone who has never had to navigate an airport in another country, before I was thankful that Evi was with us each step of the way! I couldn’t write a review and not mention the food. The meals which were included with the tour were great. They served us a variety of dishes, so we were able to get a taste of all of the classic Greek dishes. Evi also gave us some great restaurant recommendations and made our reservations for us! We had some great bus drivers and tour guides. They were all very friendly! Getting to meet and spend time with our wonderful new friend Evi, who also was our tour manager, was the best thing about this trip! I feel we were blessed to have the best Collette has to offer in her as a guide. She is a wonderful human being and we would love to have her come to Alabama and stay with us. She has an open invitation. And as I have always been intrested in archeology, our trip to Akrititi was my also a memorable part of this tour. And the FOOD! Wow. We love all of it! This was our first trip with Colette and we enjoyed it so much! Accommodations and transportation were well planned. The trip had so many educational aspects yet enough time to explore and relax in your own if you so desired. The local tour guides were very well-educated and knowledgeable and the restaurants chosen were fabulous, giving a good taste of Greek food and culture. Perhaps one of the highlights of the trip was the tour manager, Evi. She was such a beautiful person first and foremost. She was very organized, friendly and knowledgeable. I am happy to have made a friend in her. She is such a caring person and truly wanted the best for us and her new guests- and now friends. This was my 4th tour with Collette and even with my love for London, Greece Island Hopper has been my favorite tour yet. From my 1st interaction with our Tour Manager Evi, I knew the tour was going to be fabulous! Evi is as beautiful on the inside as she is the outside! She went above and beyond to make sure we were loving her home country! From personal issues, to making arrangements for us for a photo shoot during free time, making sure our entire group was checked in at the airport on our departure date, she made herself available to all at all times. We could not have asked for a better tour manager! As she told us at the airport, this is not goodbye, only until we see each other again! To have Evi again as our tour manager would be a true delight! Our accommodations were well picked out and perfect locations. The restaurants for our included meals were fabulous! I have traveled with Collette multiple times a year for multiple years now and this honestly was one of the worst trips I’ve ever been on and a large portion of why was the tour manager, Evi. She was unprofessional, rude, condescending, manipulative, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Because of Evi, I don’t want to travel with Collette anymore. So much to see and do! Everything went perfectly. Our tour guide Olga ensured we were well informed and made our scheduled timelines. The guides were a wealth of knowledge and brought history alive as we walked the ancient ruins. This was our first tour with Collette and we couldn't be happier with the choice. Disappointed. More travelers in the group (43) than we were told, (max 24). Athens hotel was average to poor. Run down. Mykonos hotel was in a too far from anything location and our room at the very top of the hill overlooked a pile of construction debris. Breakfast was mediocre and food was not readily replenished. Santorini hotel was a little better. Location was close to the beach but not in the preferred area of the island. Very isolated with airport close by so planes flying over all day. Add on pricing for excursions was a rip off. Way overpriced for what was provided. Best part of the trip was our delightful and informative guide. Marieka was terrific. But despite her smiling face and friendly demeanor we would not recommend Collette for travel unless your focus is only on value.

We could see the water or sunset. I don’t know how you don’t offer an upgrade option to allow people to, a room with View. Our Tour Guide, Apostolos Chontas, was wonderful and very attentive. Greece was an amazing country and our grandson who loves Greek Mythology was thoroughly enjoying it. The people in our Tour Group were wonderful…25 of us and it felt like family. The other Tour Commentators at various sites were knowledgeable and very informative. Loved the history!!! Every detail was attended to, flights, buses, ferries, etc., were navigated with ease if you had fairly good mobility. We had a great time!!!

Where do I begin? From the moment I booked this trip, I knew it was going to be fabulous. The itinerary was exactly what I was looking for. The ports of the ferries going to & from the islands was a horrifying experience . No organization at all . It made you feel like a herd of livestock being herded for slaughter . The islands was beautiful . Everyone at both resorts was so nice & helpful . The staff at the hotel in Athens was unfriendly & rude . Calling the desk for towels or the need of toilet tissue was hopeless . We had to ask other customer if we could borrow a roll of toilet tissue from them . The city of Athens had a lot interesting places to visit .

The tour overall was amazing. Georgios our guide was an excellent host so experienced and a wealth of knowledge. We had several birthdays in our group and he made that special for all. All of our local guides were so knowledgeable as well. The optional experience at Mykonos farmers was my personal highlight. My most memorable was the Hotel El Greco. It was absolutely an amazing hotel. The layout was gorgeous. It was the perfect distance to walk to and from Fira. The island of Santorini was my favorite. The changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier in Athens was another favorite. The food was amazing and so fresh everywhere we went. I wish food was this fresh and unalderated in the states.

The Itania hotrl was not up to par for Collette experiences. Staff at reception desk were rude & we had to take our own bags to our room. I begged for hours for a roll of toilet tissue, but never got any. Our shower was poorly constructed so water ran out the bottom all over the whole bathroom. We used most of our towels to wipe it up.. The pirate ship was fun and food was terrific. Changing of the guard was fascinating & should be included in trip for all to see. The Acropolis Museum should also be included as it helped develop a better perspective of the Parthenon. Our tour guide was amazing - keeping us informed & showing a genuine interest in each person. My favorite resort was the San Marco - extremely pleasant staff & lovely sitting areas.

This 10 day tour to Greece was my first Collette experience. Each detail was planned with great care. Accommodations were excellent. Connecting transportation was integral to this island hopper tour. Our group of forty was efficiently moved whether by coach bus or ferry. Our tour manager was an expert in communication and scheduling. A memorable experience was a group welcome dinner feasting on five courses of local cuisine.

Loved everything about Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. Especially liked the sunset cruise although the weather was cloudy and we didn’t actually see the sunset. We were able to see the island from a different perspective however and we swam in the hot springs which was so much fun! Our tour guide Sakis was excellent. He took us through all the back roads, and even provided us with some treats like cappuccino, local donuts etc. We experienced local food and he told us about some great restaurants and shopping sites along the way. He was so wonderful and knowledgeable about all the islands!

Our tour guide Chiara was amazing, friendly, patient and well informed. She was very caring to our group and very helpful when my friend fell and broke her shoulder. I really enjoyed the authentic dinner with traditional dancing but the climb up to it was really a challenge for many with so many steps, crowded and no hand rails at all. I also liked the beautiful boat ride from Santorini and the ruins at Delphi from Mykonos.Michele Bowman

My husband and I had a wonderful trip. Apostolos Chontas Was a wonderful guide. Apostolos went above and beyond to issure everyone on our tour was together and having a great time. He worked hard to make sure to solve any issues quickly. He set up our post trip to Istanbul. All our local guides were very informative. The guide for Istanbul (Erem) was fabulous. The only issue was the sunset excursion which was refunded but was still a disappointment.

Once in a lifetime birthday trip with my mom. I made so many new friends along the way as well. It is so hard to pick just one but I loved when we were on Mykonos. It was laid back and the main town was just a walk away with many places to choose from to eat at. Santorini was a close second by getting to climb to the top of an active volcano and swimming in the Aegan sea, even though the "hot" springs were not that hot.Kendyl Bourne

Excellent Tour Manager, Olivia, kept us together, was very well informed! Excursions were interesting. Transfers were timely and smooth transition. Enjoyed the group on tour, although 42 was too many! Loved the places we visited, Athens, Mykonos, Santotini and Istanbul were interesting and well planned dinners and tours. .Our tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. There was a good balance of guided activities and down time to enjoy the local sites on our own. That only issue we had was that we came in a day early. Through Collette we booked, and paid for the upgraded room we expected with Collette. The room we got was the most disgusting room I have ever seen. It smelled of mold and had dirt falling from where the ceiling didn’t meet up to the wall. We were moved the next day to the area of everyone else in th group and the room was nicer but we almost left that first night. The hotels on the islands were excellent.

The land tour was excellent, but airline schedule was bad. We were not able to attend the briefing and barely made it to the welcome dinner. No time to freshen up upon arrival. The return flight schedule back home was also bad. Our farewell dinner ended late , then we needed to be picked up at 2:30 am for a 5:30 flight.. Then we had a 6 hour layover in Amsterdam. We were exhausted from no sleep at all. We’ve been awake since 5:00 am day before, as we have to fly from Santorini back to Athens., then our farewell dinner in the evening.. No sleep for over 30 hours. Collette tours should be more considerate in booking airline flights, as your customers get tired too.

I want to say everything was so memorable. I loved seeing the Parthenon and hear all about Athena. When we went to Mykonos that was just amazing and I got to go to the beach there. Watching the sunset both in Mykonos and Santorini was amazing. Going on the cruise to watch the sunset and getting to walking on a volcano. Visiting Delos wish I had more time by myself but it was still good. I loved the views and my balcony in Mykonos. The views everywhere was just so amazing Oh and the blue domes in Santorini was just picture perfect.Laura Barefoot
