All hotels were great and their locations were in middle of everything . The pace of the tour was good. Enough free time. Both our tour manager and driver were excellent. I loved 4 nights in minori. Matera was incredible, my favorite.also loved amalfi and otrano. I Martina musso was exceptional and really made the tour.

There issues on this tour that made it not merit 4 or 5 stars. The dinners that were provided by Collette were mediocre at best there were days where we were left to our own devices for too long. Certain visits weren’t worth it like Alberolbello which was a tourist trap.

This was our first trip with Collette Everything exceed our expectations Our tour guide Paolo was exceptional. he even arranged transportation for us to the train station at 4:30 am and was there when the driver arrived to make sure we got off without a problem. Our favorite feature of the trip was all the allotted free time we had. Every day in every city we had hours to ourselves. Something we have not experienced with our tour companies We will definitely travel with Collette in the future.Anthony Sperduti

I had a medical emergency during the tour. Paolo Naldi our tour manager went above and beyond trying to make me as comfortable as possible. He continued to follow up on my well being even after I had left the tour. He was very knowledgeable about Southern Italy and always available during the tour if we needed anything. The Collette customer service reps answered our inquiries quickly and assisted with additional pre tour accommodations and transportation.

We loved having our home base in Minori for four nights instead of packing up and moving every two days. Each day we ventured out on a tour of the surrounding towns. Accommodations were wonderful except I was surprised that the lodging did not take into consideration that two single women could be sharing a room and twin beds would have been a better option. It was a good thing we were close friends and didn’t mind sleeping in the same bed.Ellen Radomski

Loved the boat ride to Amalfi and positano and visiting those cities.. I also liked our time in Minori and having our lemon experience. I found our time at the sassy in Matera was very interesting, but also a little hard on my body.! a lot of up and down steps but worthwhile. Our time in ot OTranto was so beautiful to being by the sea. I really enjoyed that walking along the beach ALBEROBELLO was certainly a very interesting area, too the trully houses we're fun accommodations and a very unique area!Jeannine Martin

Our tour guide was incredible! Flo made us feel at home, like we were visiting family! She went above and beyond to make our trip amazing! I loved Ravella and would have loved to spend more time there. Amalfi, Positano, Minori, Maori, Otantro and Matera were also my favorite places and we had so many amazing experiences there. Every day was great. One suggestion would be to increase the time at Pompeii. Tour guide did not keep moving and so much was missed. Could have had a lunch break and then continue to see more. The winery could have been a stop for dinner instead. The water buffalo could have been eliminated and something better added.

We went with 10 friends and loved it. Our guide Apollonia was top notch and our hotels were in great locations and nice. Matera is the 3rd oldest city in the world and did not disappoint We loved our hotel in Vietri and the town was charming as well. Glad we were there for 4 nights as we travelled by ferry to Amalfi and Poisitano and the highlight was spending time in Ravello which had better shopping. This tour is not for anyone with knee or hip issues as lots of stairs and uneven stone terrain. I only travel Collette’s small tours as we were 24ppl only and went to places larger groups can not Highly recommend ColletteLynne Kelly

Loved visiting the Lemon orchid and lemoncello tasting. Both the wine and olive oil tastings were great too. All hotels had the best locations and 4 star properties. I like traveling with Collette’s exploration product line as we were only 24 passenger's. The thermal pools and spa in Matera were a great way to relax for the afternoon Our weather in May was perfect. Love Collette!!!!Keith Kelly

Such unique destinations off the beaten path as well as a big city, Naples. Our tour manager was fabulous and so well-organized. Loved the pace of the trip too. I love the small-group tour. Just wish we had a few more bites in each destination.

This was a great trip. We saw and experienced things that we would not have on our own. We enjoyed our destinations as well as excursions at these destinations in addition to stops along the way to the next stay location. Our tour manager was excellent. There were no glitches and it really ran smoothly. She gave us a lot of information at every location and while on the bus to excursions and the next location - she gave 200%. She also promptly helped address any issues and concerns that came up. We would definitely be happy to be on another tour with her.

An excellent experience all around. The small tour group combined with active tours was a great fit for us. Our tour manager, Apollonia (Flo) was very knowledgeable and attentive. The activities and impact events were well planned and unique. We really felt like we were getting a great taste of the regions. Our tour group gelled quickly and easily and was just the right size. Our driver was also excellent. The pace of the tour was just right for us with ample opportunity for exploring on our own and in small groups and being together as a whole tour. Instead of staying in hectic tourist areas such as Amalfi, we lodged in nearby quaint towns and drove or took boat shuttles into those busy areas for day trips. I especially liked Matera, Pompeii, and the towns along he Aegean sea. So beautiful and full of interesting history.Thomas Mariano

Wonderful alternate cities for those who have already been to Rome/Florence/Venice. Memorable music experiences; among them Pizzica Night at a museum with tarantella performance and great food and wine, as well as a private concert.

Loved the varied locations we saw and stayed. The hotel accommodations far exceeded our expectations. Very roomy. The bus portions were not excessive and plenty of comfort stops. We loved Ravello especially, beautiful and restful. Our tour director, Savio, was wonderful. Very helpful with any issues and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Most local tour guides were excellent.

Loved Minori the lemon grove and being there 4 days. We felt like we were part of the town. The moving around every 2 days was not a good thing. We Loved Matera and Lecce aand Ostunia and Alberibello. Savio made the trip so special telling us where to eat and the private concert and dance! The rooms were fabulous and different and put us in the culture ….food was amazing and I can’t describe it only that the best Italian restaurant here can’t compare .however we were robbed of Positano! Why drop us off at the shopping district? It was body to body crowded. Please eliminate this and take the tour to a beautiful place in Positano! Also Pompeii ruins was too crowded but thank goodness for the winery afterwards.! a day at Ravello was beautiful. Stop the 2 days exhaustion and do 4 days at each site . The trip otherwise ( except for the awful stop selected by Collette in Positano) was unforgettableJoann Rude
