ServiceThey have wonderful, caring tour guides who are attentive to detail and hospitality. They offer great packages that include the backroads and the major cities.

ServiceThe personal touch that Marc expressed in his daily time with the group made everyone feel excited about each day. His knowledge about the different cities and towns was always fascinating and very in-depth. He always had handouts for the free times which recommended this to do and places to eat. He and our driver Brian had a real repore and it was one happy family, making for one wonderful trip.

ServiceMarc was very personable, knowledgeable, and funny. His orations while we traveled were educational and easy to understand. He communicated better than 99% of people I know, we always were completely informed as to what to expect.
-
TourInteresting and friendly tour members of all ages. The Titanic center in Belfast and the Guinness brewery in Dublin were my favorites, but everything else was very close behind!

Great tour but badly needed experienced tour manager
-
ServiceThe itinerary and hotels were great. I would have given it 5 stars if we had a tour manager with any experience at all with this tour----disappointed in Collette that he was assigned---just not acceptable. This was our second tour with Collette and will have to think hard about booking a third one after this tour manager experience
-
TourGreat itinerary and hotels but needed experienced tour manager to complement those positives. Tattoo was outstanding, day in Glasgow was a wasted day due to the locale and mix-up with scheduling local guide. Derry train trip was not ho-hum and not worth the time. The rest of the trip was above average.
-
-
The tour guide Jeff was incompentant and ill prepared to conduct the tour.
-
ServiceI am a repeat customer with Collette. I have been on 4 tours with Collette prior to the Exploring Scotland and Ireland tour. The Tour Manager(Jeff) was incompetent. He was ill prepared for the tour. It seems he was called in by Collette at the last minute and his ill preparedness was glaring. Jeff relied on the tour bus driver(Michael) for information on any questions the tourists would ask and/or if/when Jeff gave historical information re Scotland and Ireland, he would read it from a manuscript. His system for seating on the tour bus was confusing and unfair. Jeff permitted at least 10 passengers to choose and keep their seats the entire tour. Also, Jeff never engaged me, or my traveling companion, in conversation. Finally, if this had been my first tour with Colette, it would be my last.
-
TourTour manager was incompetent and I’ll prepared. Places visited, especially in Ireland, were good. Spent too much time in Scottish Highlands. Boring. Glasgow was a very uninteresting stop. Train ride was not scenic as promised.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Scotland & Ireland. A member of the Guest Relations Team will be reaching out to discuss your feedback.

TourThe Edinburgh Military Tattoo was one of the best parts of the tour and the rest of Scotland was great. Ireland was rich in history and so interesting we loved it

Loved seeing the northern parts of Scotland and Ireland
-
ServiceHaving both a tour manager and some local guides really works well. Overall it was a very nice tour taking us to places we might never have thought about going on our own. We especially had wanted to see Tattoo, and it was great. Seeing the Scottish Highlands and lochs was wonderful Getting to see so much of Northern Ireland was very nice.

He was always there to help us with our bags and was a lot of fun to be around. The group we traveled with were also great. Very nice people.

A Good Way to See Scotland & Ireland
-
ServiceVery happy with the sights and sites we saw. We covered a lot of ground in 12 days. Chad Nelson an excellent guide and tour leader. Some things that could be improved: Not enough time in Glasgow. Less than a day. Bus travel can be tiring; especially for long drives. Moving to a new hotel daily several times coupled with deadlines. Optional evenings seemed to be over-priced; we opted to get out and meet the people in their favorite restaurants/pubs.
-
TourPricing for the tour was very fair. A couple of the hotels, especially Barberstown Castle, were too far from the city or town we were touring. Again, the optional evenings were very expensive. However, we did take advantage of the Dublin lunch and Guinness tour and felt the pricing on that provided good value. Our favorite city was Edinburgh and we purposely arrived there three days before the tour began. We also really liked seeing St. Andrews and the Scottish Highlands, Inverness, Lochness, and were impressed by Belfast, Derry-Londonderry and Dublin. We also scheduled three days in Dublin post-tour and found that a good decision, as well. Tour guides hired for some stops were very good, except for the one in Glasgow. She initially failed to keep track of our group and raced through tour. The others were very entertaining, armed with enlightening stories and history.

A tour timed with military precision
-
ServiceAll pretty good except my unanswered email, asking for help booking a fly fishing guide in Edinburgh.
-
TourThe countries are beautiful, the coach and driver, fantastic. Our guide, second to none. If the hotels had been exceptional, I would have rated the tour a 5. Dublin and Derry hotels were located 30 minutes from city center. We could not stroll around the city in our down time. One hotel was at most, 2 stars. The views from our rooms at different hotels included a fire escape, rooftop kitchen vents, a brick wall, railroad tracks with all night trains and a parking lot. The Irish music and dancing at the Folk Park was my favorite event.

We're scheduling another trip.....!
-
ServiceFirst and foremost, our tour guide was excellent. Marc knew the history of the area quite well and was able to answer almost all of the questions asked by the group. Our time In Edinburgh was interesting especially the "vaults" in the old town. The lake boat ride on Loch Ness was very nice, and no, we did not find the monster. Of particular interest to me was the "local guide" in Belfast. Our Irish, Chinese, Buddhist guide was so interesting when he was telling us about "The Troubles" period in Northern Irish History. Walking the wall there was quite an experience. Londonderry was just as interesting. When you go, look for the statue of the two children trying to touch hands, indicating that the children will solve the problems between the Catholics and Protestants. As usual the accommodations were quite excellent, especially Colloden Inn and Spa. I hope they keep this in the future. This experience is interesting for the history education you will get. The food, as usual, is excellent. The haggis is an acquired taste and one not for me. It can be had at most breakfasts and dinners. I usually went for the fish and lamb which are the specialties in all three countries. Breakfast is usually the typical European offerings -- baked beans, ham, sausage, cheese, roasted tomatoes, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juices, excellent breads, etc. You'll always be able to get a good start on the day.

The Trip of a Lifetime!
-
ServiceTour was a trip of a lifetime. Chauffeur service from airport was excellent. The meals included in tour price were top notch. Loved the “extra” tours to choose from. Our tour director, Marc Pascucci, was the best. He kept everything running smoothly. Supplied us with additional information about the areas that was so helpful. This was my second Collette tour. Loved it so much, I have already booked my third one!
-
TourA great bargain for the experience. Chose this tour from Collette because they went to both Scotland and Northern Ireland.
-
-
We will use Colette Tours again and again and express the same to family

ServiceExcellent tour guide and coach driver. Very knowledge and quick to adapt to weather or client personality traits
-
TourGreat selection of city to visit
-
-
We so enjoyed our tour with Collette.
-
ServiceThe itinerary was wonderful and the hotels selected were all very nice. We liked how we had some free time and were able to explore and shop and dine on our own some days.

TourSt Andrews and the Titanic Museum
-
-
Excellent service from start to finish!
-
ServiceAll very well done. I would and have recommended this company.
-
TourMy highlight was the Giants Causeway. Our tour director, **************, was excellent and very knowledgeable.
-
-
Scotland/Ireland tour had interesting sites and good commentary.
-
ServiceAs usual, the tour director, local guides, and bus driver were all pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable The hotels were centrally located and served good food. Howevber, their bell boys just delivered bags to room and left them on floor instead of putting heavy bag up on luggage rack. This makes it difficult for older persons to lift their bags up to a rack or stand, especially after a full day of touring. It may seem a small matter, but hotel service could be much improved by providing this small service. Also, when selecting hotels, it would be helpful if bathrooms were fitted with safety features such as grab bars and bathtubs sides that are lower than ones we had on trip - coulb not climb over sides.
-
TourFavorite was the entertainment at the Irish pub in Dublin on last night of trip Least favorite: my fall in Edinburth hotel room on first night of trip.
-
-
-
ServiceWe had a good time in Scotland and Ireland. The tour drivers were wonderful, especially Brian, who was really terrific. The tour leaders were also very informative. We did not like the way Harry, our tour guide at first, was dismissed. Collette could have certainly treated him better!!!
-
TourNot my generation! I don't know how to attach!

-
ServiceAll was wonderful except for our flight from Toronto, Canada to Edinburgh, Scotland. We were to fly on Air Canada out of Toronto but we sat for over 4 hours waiting for a mechanical problem to be fixed on the plane. The airline eventually decided it was a no go. The distribution of the hotel and food vouchers was horribly unorganized. They had 200 some people standing for over an hour. We should have sat and then been called up one by one. My husband and I will never fly Air Canada again!
-
TourEdinburgh Military Tatoo at the Edinburgh Castle. It was a fabulous show of bagpipers, bands, and dancers.
-
-
First class, organized and efficient.
-
ServiceOur tour director, ******, made the trip very pleasant and fun! As always, Collette does a great job of selecting hotels, outings, etc. ******** was available for advice and was always attentive to the individuals in the group and also the group as a whole.

Collette's Exploring Scotland and Ireland is well worth your time and money
-
ServiceCollette organized and conducted an outstanding visit to Scotland and Ireland. Our tour manager and driver were superb and went out of their way to make sure we saw and did everything possible.
-
TourI loved seeing Belfast, but the entire tour was excellent.

-
ServiceTour managers did a great job with any special needs. Norman Greene my wife and I would take another tour with if he was the manager.

Servicethis was our fifth tour with Collette. We will go again. I called several time asking questions. I usually got the answers in just a few minutes.
-
TourI enjoy castles and glad when there is enough time to see it all. Would have like to see the castle/abbey in St Andrews but it was not offered.
-
-
-
ServiceWe called about our trip several times to ask questions. If they didn't have the answer they always got back to us. They were always pleasant to talk to.
-
TourGenerally very good. Some tours I thought were lacking. I St Andrew they just dropped us by the golf course which very few seemed interested in. Nobody knew but the castle ruins were just down the street. It might have been nice to drop those interested down there. The local guide in Derry showed us very little but talked a lot about the protestant-catholic tensions in Ireland.

ServiceWe've had the pleasure of using Collette for the past 18 years. We're always in awe of the places they bring us to. The tour guides are helpful in all aspects of our trip! Collette stands behind anything they promise! I cannnot wait for our next adventure! I'd never use another tour group & chance our experience.
-
-
No worries, not restful, but a trip to remember with great tour guides.
-
ServiceWe did not have to worry about one detail of our trip from the time we left the front door of our home until we returned. Tour guides were amazing and I learned so much about the places we went to. It is not a relaxing holiday but it is an amazing trip for people that want to learn a little more about the world by experiencing it.
-
TourThe only thing that I would say that keeps this trip from being excellent is the limited amount of time we have at our many destinations. In stating this, I also realize that in order to cover the places we saw that this unfortunately, with the time we have to tour, is necessary. Loch Ness boat trip and Edinburgh were my most favourite parts. Northern Ireland was so steeped in history, Titanic was amazing.... it probably would have been easier to ask what was my least favourite ...which was Glasgow but probably only because we were there for such a short time and the City tour was impeded by something going on which closed main streets while we were there.

Tour was great but air lines for travel was only average or less
-
ServiceTour was great, tour guide was wonderful. We thought the Air Canada airlines we were assigned to fly was second rate compared to Delta Airlines. Air Canada had very basic in flight service, no music or movies and uncomfortable connection between Minneapolis and Toronto. We would like to do another Collette tour but we will not fly Air Canada again.
