When people picture Medellín, one neighbourhood often comes to mind: Comuna 13.
Known for its colourful murals, outdoor escalators, and remarkable transformation, it has become one of Colombia's most visited attractions. Every day, thousands of travellers fill its narrow streets, stopping for photos, browsing souvenir stalls, and learning about the city's complicated past.
Its story deserves to be told. But as tourism has grown, so have the challenges that come with it.
