Travel through Norway’s fjords, mountains, and glacier-cut landscapes and learn how its seafaring history still shapes daily life. Make the most of your trip by choosing Collette’s guided tours of Norway. With over 100 years of tour design expertise, we make travel stress-free with thoughtful pacing, cultural experiences, and plenty of free time.
Go to Norway for the northern lights from late fall through early spring for the best chance of seeing this natural wonder. This is when nights are longest and skies stay dark enough for aurora viewing, but sightings always depend on weather and solar activity.
Just ask a Norwegian and they will tell you “there is no such thing as bad weather in Norway — only bad clothes.” Layers are key. For winter departures and coastal travel, warm layers and practical outerwear are especially important.
Norway is known as “the land of the midnight sun” particularly in the north where the sun doesn’t set in the peak of summer. In southern cities, expect very long days in the summer and very short days in the winter.
Tour Design Manager
When I travel, I’m inspired by the stories that shape a destination — its history, people, traditions, and everyday rhythms. That’s why I create tours that include authentic local experiences. I want my tours to feel engaging, purposeful, and memorable, so you go home with a deeper understanding of the places you’ve been.

Professional and friendly Tour Manager. The scenery and locations we visited were beautiful and amazing.

All was great. Victor did a great job. The sights and sounds were wonderful.. Our luggage was delayed and Victor and Collette assisted in getting it caught up to us, alas a week into the trip. Victor sowed us a place to pick up some usable outfits, a great assist.

From start to finish this was an amazing tour. Our Tour Manager and Driver were absolutely fantastic. The hotel in Loen was definitely a standout, and offered one of the best included breakfasts/dinners I have ever had on a tour. Pacing was fantastic and we never felt rushed nor did we feel there wasn't enough downtime. Our local guides in Oslo and Bergen were second to none!!!! I can't recommend this tour enough.

The places we visited. The scenery, our tour group and our guide. The food was excellent and plentiful as well. The only thing we didn't care for were the flights on Iceland Air.

This tour was just what I was looking for. I wanted to explore the countryside and meet some of the natives of the three countries. This trip did just that and more! I loved Stockholm and Bergen but I didn’t want just cities. The King Crab excursion was excellent. The cruise down the Norway Coast was perfect. I am disappointed to hear that this has been dropped from the tour. It was the Frosting on the cake! The itinerary was just the right length. The only thing I would add is an add on excursion in Bergan to include the Viking Village, a Fjord cruise and the Flam railway. We did this on one of our extra days we added and it proved to be the cherry on a very delicious sundae. The number in the group was perfect! I can’t think of one thing I didn’t like or would like to see dropped from the itinerary! Thank you for a most perfect trip!

Our tour guide Wendela Wiiks was exceptional! She went above and beyond every step of the way. There were so many memorable moments... perhaps lakeside at the Hotel Alexandra - the views were spectacle traveling there, the ambiance was fantastic and my room overlooked the fjord.

I loved going to the top of the glacier and then seeing the lake it was spectacular!! Wendala and Paul were fantastic. The tour guide in Bergen was very interesting and funny. Tour was very organized from start to finish. Highlight was the fjord ride. Breathtaking ! Needed more time in Bergen . First; the long plane ride was exhausting. Second: a day to acclimate would have been welcome. Get up for breakfast- do walking tour - but allow choice to rest in room while others go exploring on their own. Third: having a good nights rest, allow us to time to check out museums you kept telling us about- but no open window of time to experience. THEN : with us biologically on Norway time , we feel more comfortable & not in a fog. I appreciated the opportunity to see such magnificent sights, but it required too much & too long sitting time. Bus was comfortable, but again , too many hours sitting day after day. Allow time in towns for us to experience a theater performance, take a cooking lesson , tour museum , try fishing , buy yarn , learn embroidery, visit fabric specialty shops.

I really enjoyed the entire trip! Felt like we were treated like royalty! I loved all the information I learned. I felt like when we had free time, we had learned so much, it was no problem finding the things we wanted to do. Mona was the best!!!!

A perfect adventure for those who are tired of the cities and love nature. The land portion through Lapland was nicely paced. The cruise through the Norwegian coast was the highlight of the trip.

I loved the tour and getting to meet the other people on the tour. My most memorable experience was Norway. Oslo was beautiful; the fjords were incredible.

It was a combination of big cities and small locations. Tour manager was excellent. He gave informative chats during days with long bus rides. His experience enabled him to handle hiccups such as a scheduled lunch visit on a Sunday in a village with limited open restaurants. This tour was a nice combination of scheduled activities and free time. Tour director had suggestions for restaurants and things to see during g free time.

Best tour I have ever taken with Collette.

This was my first tour with Collette and I was very pleased with our experiences, from start to finish. Our tour manager, Micke, was top notch. I loved our accommodations, the transport, and the local tours. I also appreciated that there was plenty of time built into our itinerary to have free time, which is important to me.

Our vacation fantastic with incredible views, interesting facts about Norway and lovely places to stay. We enjoyed the mix of people attending with us and we all interacted well and added to the experience of seeing all the beauty with feedback and excitement. Our guide, Piia, was top notch! Her details on Norway were interesting and insightful. She has a lovely personality and teamed up well with Stephen our exceptional driver for a duo of fun. We will recommend Collette and plan to try another tour in the future. This one will be tough to top! Thank you to everyone for our excellent experience!

There were many wonderful experiences. Most memorable probably the Resistance Museum in Oslo. The falls were spectacular. Traveling with so many nice people made the trip more enjoyable

Many have asked what my favorite part was. There were so many things that I cannot list just one. This was our first tour and we liked getting off the beaten path and experiencing different things. The size of the tour was great so we were able to get to know everyone. The people on the tour were wonderful and so was everyone we met.
Tour Rating:
This was an amazing tour and everything was great from the tour manager Piia to the hotels and food. I highly recommend it.
