MENU
As the longest-running tour operator in North America, Collette brings unmatched expertise to every journey. Every tour is created and guided by experts who call these places home, so you’ll uncover regional culture, witness must-sees, and access unique local experiences. Get ready to go beyond the guidebook — and leave the details to us.
With its vast size and range of climates, North America doesn’t have a single best travel season. Northern areas experience more pronounced seasonal changes, whilst southern regions tend to see milder shifts and longer stretches of warm weather. The best time to visit ultimately depends on your destination and priorities.
The top tour style depends on the region, landscape, and traveller. We offer a range of tours to showcase the best of each destination, from leisurely journeys and small-group adventures to cruises.
Entry requirements vary by country and traveller, so check official government websites for up-to-date information. When packing, consider how weather can vary across regions. Keep in mind that Canada and the United States use different currencies.
Tour Design Manager
Born and raised in Rhode Island, Ariana has always been passionate about creating and sharing travel experiences — and that’s exactly what she does. She joined Collette in 2016, beginning in Marketing before becoming a product designer. Today, she’s one of the experts behind our journeys in the eastern U.S., eastern Canada, Hawaii, and beyond.
Regional Destination Manager
For over 10 years, Wesley has been one of the friendly faces guiding travellers on Collette tours — which means he’s part encyclopedia, part friend, and part concierge. Wesley is also the regional destination manager for several U.S. tours. So even if he isn’t leading the way as your Tour Manager, he might still have a hand in your journey.

Crazy Horse Issue with room reservations. I was traveling with friend and we were incorrectly given a single bed at the first 2 stops. At the 1st stop they were able to change rooms. At the 2nd the hotel was fully booked, however, Katie, our tour guide, changed rooms with us. By the next 2 stops the error had been corrected.

He went above and beyond d by providing interesting information and stories about the history of the sites on our tour I was also very impressed about the information that was provided by Collette about the areas we traveled to. They included packing information, weather and so many other things to help us prepare for our tour.

Kevin, our tour guide, was always positive and fun. His organization was obvious. We never felt rushed, and each day was full but never too much. / Our ride to the top of Mt. Washington was exciting and well planned. The driver of our van gave us lots of interesting information as we ascended and descended the mountain. We got to experience the bracing cold and winds on the mountain top. Great highlight! / And the fall colors in Vermont and New Hampshire were spectacular.

Everything was excellent. I felt the hotel at lake Powell was run down.

We saw much of this country in a short time, James C, the bus driver, the bus and the hotels were very good. Food was OK. The chuck wagon event on the last day was a good idea but needs some work. The owner - operator spoke very quickly; nobody around me could understand him. Possible acoustic problem... Musicians and staff were excellent. Food was fair at best. Chicken was tasty but very tough, beef was very very tough

The tour was well organized, our tour guide Bettina was fabulous and we enjoyed every moment. One of the many highlights was visiting Mesa Verde National Park and learning about the lifestyle of the Ancestral Puebloan civilization.

We had an excellent tour manager. He communicated well, provided a lot of interesting information as we toured and had us very well prepared for each day's activities. We saw all the highlights of the National Parks and Monuments on the trip from Denver to Las Vegas as well as several surprise side trips that were very enjoyable. The National Parks and Monuments are truly beautiful and majestic. We had high expectations; all of which were exceeded. We traveled in a very comfortable coach and our tour manager sprinkled in numberous stories, videos and other entertainment along the way. He also made sure we had some quiet time. It was a great trip!

This is our 2nd tour with Collette. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. We tend to judge our trips against the trip out west to the national parks in 2024. Our tour guide Sheryl was extraordinary. She considered each traveler and made considerations as needed. This was not the case with our tour guide Jaime. Though very qualified and knowledgeable about the towns he seemed to favor certain guests and ignore others. This was especially true on Mackinac Island itself. My husband and I had requested at least a queen or king size bed with each hotel. This was not the case at the Grand Hotel. We ended up with a full size bed. The bathroom however was gorgeous, fully renovated with a walkin shower. When speaking with other travelers especially those who were traveling by themselves, they had a kings size bed or even 2 queens but a climb in tub that made bathing difficult. We did address this with Jaime as well as the front desk and no one seemed to know how many full size rooms they had or how the rooms were assigned. Also the the breakfast in Grand Rapids was awful. Many employees, but no one seemed bothered or concerned that food bins were empty. A far cry from the beautiful Chicago Hyatt. For future reference can we choice our flight times? Leaving was a 0530 flight and a 3 hour layover and coming home, we didn't leave until late the afternoon.

We saw a lot in 6 days. Itinerary was well planned out, we kept to the schedule and saw everything on the flyer. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, pleasant, gave us good ideas at each stop and had a wonderful sense of humor. She truly wanted everyone to enjoy the trip. Driver we had was pleasant, professional, knew the route, and made sure everyone got off the and on the bus safely. Overall the trip exceeded my expectations.
