Overall, excellent however walking expectations were grossly understated. The DC day was extensive and still feel much was missed…needed a second day there or should have had begun upon arrival to include more. While both hotels were elegant the beds at the Shoreham were extremely hard and the bathroom far too small and difficult to maneuver with no grab bar anywhere for stability. The bed was somewhat better at The Greenbriar but the pillows were lumpy! If not from exhaustion from extended walking well over the 2 to 3 miles stated, no sleep would have occurred! It was also misrepresented that we’d have two formal dinners at The Greenbriar. Meals were excellent but the dining areas lackluster….breakfast in the true dining hall definitely the highlight over dinners

I felt it was a good price for everything that was included on the trip. Mike the tour guide was awesome as well as Brandy. This was my first trip with Collette but it won't be my last. It was very well put together I loved all of the places we toured but my favorite stop was the tomb of the unknown soldier. So moving.

Greenbrier Resort was awesome from checking in, restaurant service and excellent meals, extremely friendly staff and very knowledgeable docents who took us on the hotel and “Bunker” tours. Resort is huge and will take time to become familiar. Beautiful golf course with a good restaurant to dine and great socializing.

Loved all the cherry blossoms blooming, but did not enjoy all the people. Loved all the memorials and monuments. Was really too tired for the evening tour, not really that enjoyable to me. Loved the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, but again, lots of people and hard to see. Loved the National Cathedral!! So beautiful, loved the stain glass windows. The Greenbriar’s decor was unbelievable! So beautiful…so many different colors, really enjoyed the mini concert on the baby grand in the pink room. Also, the tulips, outside the Omni were amazing!

I had a lot of fun on this tour and got to see some things I never thought I would. I really enjoyed seeing the monuments in Washington, especially seeing the Declaration of Independence. I also enjoying going to the Greenbrier and colonial Williamsburg. I learned so much about our country’s history on my tour. It was very special. I would highly recommend if you like history!

The Greenbrier Bunker Tour was awesome. Such an interesting part of American history. I am continuing to read the books that describe the history and personalities surrounding the Greenbrier. The grounds and shops I loved - so glad we had free time to explore the area.
Arlington Natl Cemetery was another high point of this tour.
The Space Museum was a little disappointing- I think I should have gone to another museum. Most things in the Space museum I had viewed previously at another place.
The Farewell dinner was excellent Enjoyed being in such a place.
Our Tour Director was fabulous! Had us going the right place at the right time! The Marriott Hotel bar was the only downer— service was difficult to get and not because they were busy
The Marriott breakfasts were very nice and service great!
The step on guide in Richmond left a lot to be desired. She was very vague-“over there”. It was hot and she made people walk far who could not walk well, especially in the heat. We got tired of standing at the capitol. Maybe she could have had pictures for us along the river- we never knew where she was talking about.
These are the main points I wanted to pass on

My only concern about this trip is the pace of the first day and the lack of a meet and greet with the group on what is supposed to be the first day. Also the final meal location and menu left a lot to be desired. Food and cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable. No ambiance at all. I suggest changing the location.
