During her free time, she enjoys antiquing, walking her dog — a Lagotto Romagnolo (that's an Italian breed specialized in truffle hunting), and growing "Pra" basil to make her own homemade pesto.

Excellent tour, and Dario, the tour guide was the best! Hotels were generally very nice - settings were exceptional. Slight snafu with water being turned off in the hotel 2 days in a row, but assume that couldn't be helped! Dario added a vineyard and wine lunch to appease, and it was lovely. We particularly enjoyed the evening where we prepared our own dinner! Thanks for everything - we will travel with Collette again!

While the pace was fast for me (I'm in my 70's and a little out of shape) I was never left behind! and in fact, was able to enjoy the beautiful country's sights and food with incredible knowledge of every detail given by the guides. The accommodations were fascinating, some grandiose and all different. Each had its own charm, whether view out the window or elegant bathroom. It's hard to describe how lovely the people and the country were, I especially loved visiting a family vineyard and feasting on a simple lunch that tasted magnifico! Gondola w/musicians was wonderful. All of Rome, the colosseum, Vatican City, Sorrento, Capri (the most luscious flora, outstanding sights, smells) Florence, Venice, Stresa, all terrific.

This tour was great! We got to see so many different sights and experience different modes of transportation. The vistas are just gorgeous. Our tour guide, Daniel, was awesome as was our motor coach driver, Danillo. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see various places in Switzerland and Lake Maggiore in Italy. Excellent chance to learn about and see as much of the Alps and Dolomites as is possible in 12 days. The tour guides teach about history and culture while on the bus. From France to Italy and everything in between, you’ll see, go, do and learn.

The tour director was wonderful. She made sure all were comfortable on the tour. Her insights to many of the places we visited was fantastic. She even added a stop at the American Cemetery in Tuscany. This was a major highlight for many. How thoughtful. Loved staying in one hotel and touring each day. The hotel was comfortable but wish there was more variety in the breakfasts.
