Over all enjoyed the tour. Highlights were the tour Manager and local tour guides. Hotel locations were very good, rooms clean but a bit dated, lack of wall outlets, space and bath facilities, i.e. water pressure, leaks from above. Would suggest not including the dinner cruise on the Seine. Food stinks and views limited. Company money better spent on an open boat cocktail cruise and let get dinner on their own.

My concerns are that I was not able to visit Rikjsmuseus, Van Gogh, Anne Frank house, Orsay because we were not advised to purchase tickets before our trip. These should have been optional at extra price. These museums are one of my main reason for taking this trip. I am very disappointed in Colette.

The tour included many small tours or local speakers which were mostly wonderful. I think only on one occasion was the speaker barely average. The others were really good. More than 50% of the people on the tour came down with Covid. They were quarantined and the healthy folks continued with the scheduled activities. This made it very difficult for Christian, the tour director. He did a fabulous job managing the challenge and worked very hard to take care of both healthy and sick members. We loved Collette tours and will join again when we find one of interest.

Collette
Report on Netherlands, Belgium France tour 4/23/2022
The tour guide not familiar with area nice guy but he was from Italy
The tour failed to pick up or check Collette health questioner at beginning of trip 3 of 18 were sick from day one and not tested for covid until day 6 by then 12 of 18 on tour had covid including myself
We were contacted by phone and told by Collette rep Beth that both myself and Dr. Ciano (who had not tested positive) were kicked off the tour and everything was canceled including our air home which turned out to be a lie. It was early in trip and I had all covid medicine with me and tested negative in 3 days with no symptoms and told Collette representative that continued to call and threaten us with everything being canceled that we were negative (Dr Ciano was never positive) and we were continuing our trip. We proceeded on at our own expense.
Reservations had not been canceled for the air home despite a barrage of calls threatening us that all was canceled we were both negative and took our prearranged flight home.
We have now canceled all future Collete trips Resv 1090649 and resv 1101755 and have now been told our Ins for those two trips $900 and $1000 is not refundable as it was charged up front which was never told to us. We were always told by ALL local and home office Collette reps that the advanced deposits were fully refundable
For starters I am disputing all charges on my credit card for reservations 1065848 due to negligent and improper health care procedures and care of tour guests. And all charges on 1090649, 1101755 as we never informed that insurance was billed up front and not refundable Please refund all those amounts.

The frustration with Collette before the trip put a damper on the trip. Customer service was horrible. The documentation hard copy and on the app is a great idea but when the information is incorrect it hamper the experience. We had a fabulous and engaging tour manager. Adorable! The tour was more than anything I had expected. The tulip gardens was a disappointment. I was expecting something different, going to the tulips fields and learning about the growing and harvesting the tulips for market and the bulbs for fall. this was a nice tulip garden. We saw nicer arrangements at Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris and even at the Olympic peninsula in WA the tulips fields were spectacular! The tulips gardens in Amsterdam were terribly crowded. I guess expected as we were all there to see the tulips. Otherwise, the trip was incredible, the hotels were perfect and all meals were special and delicious in every way. But the tour manager was the best ever!

I've been raving about this tour experience since I've come home. I can't say enough about Collette staff and our tour director Michael, everything was excellent! The only hotel I was disappointed with was the one in Brugge, but understand it's a historic building so can't fault them. Bed was very comfortable and rooms are large.

I chose this tour because it included Bruges, a dream destination. I had no idea how much I'd also love the entire trip and all the places we visited! The Explorations tour made it easier to get to know everyone in the group and allowed for uncrowded bus travel. There are so many memorable experiences! The informative and scenic canal boat tours in Amsterdam and Bruges, the many different glorious churches, the brilliance of Keukenhof Gardens and the stately windmills at Kinderdijk were just a few of the highlights. And the retro cars in Paris...and the Louvre...and well, you get the point!
