Optimism for Travel Recovery in 2021

Ninety-six percent of USTOA Active Members have seen an increase in new bookings in the last 60 days, and 44 percent of USTOA Active Members who responded to a recent USTOA survey report that Q3 and Q4 of 2021 have the most passengers booked to travel. With optimistic numbers like that as well as the reopening of Europe, CDC relaxing its mask-wearing guidelines and cruise lines setting sail from around the globe, including U.S. ports, there's certain to be a strong rebound in leisure travel on the immediate horizon.

And, as Dan Sullivan, Jr., CEO of Collette, pointed out during the call, travel advisors also want to book with tour operators they can trust. Operators that "they know have been around, have the stability, know the answers and know the destination. It's going to elevate the travel advisor and the tour operator."
