This was a wonderful tour that combined interesting historical sites with dining and incredible sightseeing. Our Tour Manager Nina was so helpful and attentive.

Since there were only 5 of us, I felt that the representative in the US wasn't totally interested.

The trip was fabulous!!!. The hotels were in excellent walking distance for activities, eating, and sightseeing. Unfortunately, I felt that a few of the side options were just filler activities to make easy money. The music walking tour in Vienna was a perfect example. The Music performance people and venue workers were very rude and the show again was not worth the money. A few of the others were at restaurants that appeared to only be open for our group and not very inviting.At times, we felt rushed and would have liked a few extra minutes. Prague was a fairytale land. Loved it !!! The tour of the Jewish section was emotionally impacting.Vienna was a big city, not as enjoyable, although historical buildings and history was interesting.Two of the side options were not worth the money. Budapest had a lot to offer. Could have spent a bit more time there. Eliminate Vienna and add days to Prague and Budapest.Jousting show and dinner was enjoyable, but little village for a waste of time. Local tour guide seemed to be a marketing person for the village. I would use Collette Tours in the future. NINA was the BEST!!! She not only was there for us at every moment, but provided a really personal connection to the area.

Did not feel like this tour was anything special. Corners were cut on meals, accommodations and tour services, write up in brochure hype didn't match actual. One example at market in Central Market in Budapest given one half hour, this was a highlight. Felt a tension between tour manager throughout, maybe because I was a single male. Limo wasn't there at JFK on return causing additional stress. Overall felt Value not there, and haphazard coordinating. You need to reimburse me for the Vienna excursion that fell through. Local guides were good.

This was my six or seventh trip with Collette and I would highly recommend it to my family and friends. The accommodations at the hotels is always one of the most pleasant experiences and adds to the tour. The local guides on this trip were excellent, especially in the Czech Republic. Our tour guide was also a bonus to the tour and especially when we traveled to Hungary. As usual, a five star rating for the tour from start to finish!

The tour included many experiences but I think that the dinners in local restaurants and the entertainment,especially when we were singled out to dance was definitely one of the highlights.

The tour manager was delightful and knowledgeable. The itinerary was full of good things. It should, however included the synagogue in Budapest. I went on my own. Then I did the Eye on my own. The flights on British Airways were terrible. Both ways we were in the row by the toilets. Impossible to sleep.

Size of group too large (43). Many with mobility issues. Therefore a lot of complaining. Food was average. Hotels good but we were lucky our rooms were on top floors therefore quiet. Guides were not as good as previous tours. But the group leader Darius was friendly and entertaining and always had a positive attitude even when faced with negativity.

Yes, I would travel with Collette again and would recommend them. Everything went as planned. Our tour director, Marius was very attentive and friendly. If I have any complaint at all, it would have to do with hotels. The first hotel in Prague was fine except that the location was next to a sort of red light area. We listened to partying going on until after 3am on the first night. Our mistake was in keeping the windows open. The second hotel in Vienna was FABULOUS!! That spoiled us and made the third hotel in Budapest seem less than up to par. Overall, all was a great trip! We met great people, learned a great deal of history, ate some good food, saw some magnificent sights, listened to wonderful music and my hotel complaints are minimal by comparison.

The evening cruise in Budapest was beautiful. And the events of the last day with the Medieval competition and meal was great fun. By then, we knew everyone in our group and we all just had fun together!

It was great! Free time in every city was wonderful.

The hotels were great but the Grand in Vienna was really special.

The walking tour of the city was a bit long for me that day. My fault though for not having the best shoes and it was extremely hot. I would split it up if possible.

I don't usually like to be forced to have to type feedback, but since you insist.... Pros - The Imperial Cities Tour/Vacation was wonderful as we stayed in very good hotels and had really wonderful food. The tour manager did a really nice job in getting us to all of the places as well as setting up the events (and even kept us from getting lost). We had a great time. Only negatives on the trip were: 1. The tours were a little more than moderate activity in walking, and it was compounded by the worst cobblestone pavements I have ever been on in my life. My wife took a bad fall the first day, so the rest of the vacation wasn't exactly pain-free for here., and 2. Other than Collette or our Travel Agent doing the Airfare, the Flights were horrible....especially coming home. Going out my wife got randomly screened by security in both DFW and Heathrow Airports which caused a lot of grief for us trying to get to the gates, and coming home was worse as we found the Airplanes were not great models (767-200 was the worst) for traveling from Budapest to Philadelphia (only slightly better models from PHL to DFW), and we had to do excessive walking through PHL airport to get our flight to DFW because they decided that the only entry security checkpoint can be at one end of that Airport only, even though our flight left from the other side of the airport (Had to walk from Terminal A to Terminal D). Next time, we'll consider booking our own air arrangements. Once we got to the tour start to end, we had a great time, and we definitely look to booking more vacations with Collette.

I hate forced essay feedbacks: The tour manager was great and patient with us. He also arranged nice events with other very knowledgeable guides. We had a great time and would definitely book with this tour manager again if he was avaialble. The whole trip (minus walking on horrible cobblestone that was not comfortable) was great. Oh, the bus driver was excellent too and getting us safely to locations, and the best driving of I bus I've ever seen through tight traffic.

Prague was breathtaking and very enjoyaboel

The itinerary of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest were an attractive draw for us. The land tour suited us best, especially with 3 nights in each imperial city. Our communication by phone was easy and pleasant with each agent along the way. Then our guide, Tomas, emailed us prior to our trip with some added details to know. All this before we even left the house. The airport car service to and from home was a very welcomed accommodation. Tomas was charming, informative, joyful and concerned with everyone and their needs. He exceeded our expectations!

The location of the hotels were perfect. The day to Dürnstein, cruise to and tour of Melk along with the concerts and the rose gardens at the summer castle outside Vienna are a few favorite memories.

Cities were beautiful and the tours were informational. Not impressed with some of the group meals & the location of the Budapest hotel was a bit seedy. However the Vienna hotel was spectacular.

Collette's Imperial Cities tour provided a great introduction to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Our tour manager provided daily sheets to what we were seeing, kept us informed about times. The opportunity for side trips to walking tours, visiting Jewish synagogue, taking an evening Danube boat tour were wonderful.

Enjoyed the Hungarian Medieval Castle with the local "knights" performing ax-throwing, archery, and "sword" fights. The generous medieval banquet service was tasty; fun to wear the paper crowns. We learned about the area's past and saw the local revitalization in the countryside. Way to blend the past and present for tourists!

Liked the planned hotels, the meal of intro with all the group present. Enjoyed the local tours by area guides. Our Romanian tour manager was the best and took care of our group throughout.

Hungarian feast in the forest with musicians that came to the tables and played requested songs. Food was plentiful, atmosphere picturesque.

Everything was great. The itinerary was perfect. The hotel in Prague and Budapest were well below that in Vienna. The Tour Manager was initially distracted by his 5 week old baby’s serious health problems, and tried, but did not provide adequate information on “what happens next.” He rallied after the first days and could not have been better. Oz is extremely knowledgeable about the areas’ history and culture and made the experience very interesting and informative.

See previous remarks. We loved everything we saw, but the boat rides outside Vienna and Budapest by night were very special.

The lower rating here is more my issue than the actual tour. I am not much for history so not sure why I chose this tour. Loved Budapest. The food was amazing. The tour manager I felt did not get our group under control before leaving the bus, which lead to some people wandering off and not hearing full details on times and meeting places.

This was my third tour with Collette and I would definitely take another Collette tour. The cities we visited were wonderful. We had many wonderful and expert local guides. I felt our tour guide was very good but our other tour guides were excellent.

Each city was beautiful and each one was even better.

I liked the value of the trip and the included convenience of the pick-up to and return from the airport and all transfers in the price. I thought the itinerary was interesting. On our way between cities, it was nice to stop at another interesting town.

I enjoyed the musical concerts, the optional tour by night on the Danube River in Budapest, visiting the palace in Vienna, the castle district in Prague, the Renaissance-style dinner at the castle in Visegrad.

All the pickups were on time with no problems.

I thought the tour was very good but there were some glitches that were handle very well by the tour guide. I have two suggestions. !.The first day in Prague was very taxing. Could the day 1 and day 2 events be switched. 2.Many people complained because the bus seats weren't assigned daily. Tour manager was excellent except he could have been more organized and communicated better. He was good at fixing problems beyond his control. Had a problem getting coins in Czech Republic and Austria. Enjoyed the Danube cruise at night in Budapest.

From JFK back to JFK every single day was pleasant and Memorable.

This is the 2nd Collette Tour I have been on and it was just as wonderful as the first. The guides and tour director are very knowledgeable about the countries visited and can always answer any questions asked. There is time planned by tour company to self guide in each of the cities visited and spending 3 days in each city gave plenty of time to see everything.

Seeing the old and new side of Prague and going to concerts in both Prague and Vienna.

The entire experience was uplifting and educational. Out tour guide provided us with relative information sprinkled with personal stories. Our accomandations were excellent not only in comfort but also location. Local tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant. Everyone was caring and considersate of the various needs of all travelers

Collette does a nice job organizing tours. They chose nice hotels in good locations. Always within walking distance to shops, restaurants, money exchanges and more. Collette mixes a nice amount of guided tours along with free time. The optional tours they offered seemed a little expensive for what we received. And the guides were a bit hard to understand. Our Collette tour director Nina was the best. She was very organized and detailed. Of all the trips I’ve taken she by far was the best. She was also kind, and had a very pleasant demeanor. I would recommend Collette to friends and family. They do a decent job for what you pay for.

I truly enjoyed this tour. It was a good mix of exploring the big capital cities and also enjoying trips outside of the hustle and bustle into smalller towns. Actually I thought the day trips out of the city were more enjoyable. Prague is by far the highlight of the tour. We arrived a day early which I highly recommend. It gives you a full extra day exploring the beautiful city. The micro brewery in Prague was a fun night. Good beer, good food and music. Cesky Krumlov was a picturesque village on our way to Vienna. We had just a couple hours here on our own for lunch and exploring. The town of Durnstein was another highlight. We only had about an hour to shop. Would have loved extra time. Then we took a boat ride from there on the Danube. Great time. Bratislava Slovakia was wonderful too. Had free time after a short guided tour through the old town area. Fisherman’s Bastion in Budapest was amazing. But the best part of Budapest was the optional evening dinner and boat ride. The Parliament building lit up at night made for the most incredible photos. Our last day we went to this artists village outside of Budapest which was probably the best place to pick up souvenirs and gifts. The only complaint I have was in Prague during our tour of the Castle we had lunch in the Palace then had to go straight into a classical music concert which was an hour long where everyone was basically falling asleep. It was not the right time to sit through that with a full stomach in a warm room in uncomfortable chairs. Most people in our group of 40 agreed.

My sister and I have used Collette twice and each trip was a great experience. from the moment we were picked up the first day till our return. We have been most satisfied with the service and personal attention from the agent. We have recommended Collette to a relative and they were very please as well. We look forward to taking more trip as time and money allow us.

The countries had much history and the guides provided much information.

There were several different bus drivers during the tour. Difficulty to establish a relationship with so many. The driver that remained with the tour the longest was unable to converse in English. Would like to have spent more time in Vienna rather than spending 4 hours on the Danube . Thought I would be spending 3 days in each city but only spent 2 days in each city. Instead only spent two days and then traveled one day.

There were several changes from the original itinerary. Tour guide had to clarify the changes several times. Enjoyed time spent in Prague especially the free time to tour on your own. Needed more assistance in negotiation with three different currencies. Not pleased with the hotel accommodations on Budapest.

Trip was well planned, organized and executed.

I lked the tour of the Lobkowicz Palace and to meeting with the Prince.

The trip was excellent, all the sites were fabulous and very interesting. There were some unexpected things happen, like meeting Prince Lubkowiscz. The hotels we stayed in were all great and very centrally located for ease to get to all the sites, either by walking or by a short drive. All the meals we had that Collette included were very very good and in very interesting places. The only issue was that through the middle section of the tour it was a little hectic and tiring as it is go go go once you get to Vienna. The only suggestion we would have would be to maybe offer the tour with an extra night in each location. We stayed an extra night in Prague and Budapest and that really helped us to be able to see as much as possible while be able to relax a bit more. We would recommend this trip to others who would love to see some beautiful Eorpean cities and fabulous sites throughout.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and loved all the sites and the food was great throughout the tour. We would recommend this tour. each city we visited had its sites which make it hard to select our favourable moment. All the palaces were fabulous, the cathedrals and churches in Europe are incredible. The Parliament buildings in Budapest are just a stunning site to behold.

Prague was my favorite place. Every place was wonderful.

Collette customer service staff are always professional and detailed.

The actual tour couldn't compare with our 3 other tours we have taken with Collette. Walking pace too slow. Mozart Tour slow and boring. Spent too much time driving to locations out of town vs. touring main attractions in the 3 cities. Tour Director was not top notch. Collette needs to schedule other sightseeing options into the tour such as Parliament. Tour Director needs to attend Dinner with group vs. Restaurant staff asking each table where the tour director is and who has a voucher to pay for dinner. Tour Director needs to sit and eat with tour participants sometime.

Tour guide was not up to usual level we have had in past 3 tours. He spent too much time doing paperwork during the day and did not stay close to group. Nice guy but not up to level of last year’s tour with Sybila in London and Paris. Too many tours out of each city to eat lunch or dinner. We could have used the extra time see all the wonderful sites in each city. A couple of the add on tours were not as good as most extra one’s we have taken in the past trips with Collette. I will have to admit we got off to a bad start with flight cancellation by American Airlines in Philadelphia. Lost a day and half of trip due to flight.

Hard to remember one. Will anything happen for the night the 22 folks stuck in Philadelphia and missed one night and part of first day of tour. When our group finally landed in Prague it was the first time a representative from Collette did not greet us. We had 22 people waiting for 10-15 minutes. Not good!

Too much free time in places where only tourist stores are located, and not enough time in the cities we came to see: Prague, Vienna, Budapest.

Vienna palace and concert.

The Collette main office in RI or wherever is outstanding. I have gone on 6 trips with them and spoken to probably 20 reps during this time. They have always been courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. On a couple of occasions some minor issues arose. Their supervisors resolved them immediately with class and professionalism. The company is extremely well run. The recent trip was great. The manager was superior. Some of the local guides were not as good as others but all in all it was a very nice trip. Collette attracts very nice groups from all around the world. We all got along famously. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent tour. well paced. was probably a bit more physically challenging with walking and steps than expected. Some tour members had difficulty with this. Beautiful cities.

This tour was fine, it was the tour manager that was not up to my expectations. He had poor follow up skills in my opinion. Could be a cultural issue. Currently I would hesitate to recommend this tour to friends.

The brewery tour in Prague was great! Most of our good memories were when we were on our own. Could have skipped Vienna.

The overall service was excellent. There was one day-long outing that I chose not to take, but I wanted to join the evening Company paid dinner. Was not able to because they didn’t come back to hotel for pickup. Poor arrangement and I had to pay for my own dinner. Also, Lots and lots of walking on this particular tour.

I rate Collette as one of the best tour companies. They are dependable, reasonably price, and professional.

The guide was great, but the hotels and food could have been better. Would have liked to have gone to the Budapest Spa instead of dropped off in the pedestrian area. It was a long walk back to the hotel which was miserable in the hot sun.

Favorite experience was visiting Cesky Krumlov and having a potato pancake wrapped around sauerkraut. Also, enjoyed eating a pretzel ice cream cone in Bratislava. Enjoyed shopping in Visegrad. We felt the tour was way overpriced for what was included. Food and bathrooms were deplorable at the underground place in the Grinzing region.

Maury's was knowledgeable and fun. I thought we saw the high spots and enjoyed the entire trip.

We enjoyed the three cities included in this tour. The hotels were very nice and centrally located which enabled us to walk almost anywhere. We especially enjoyed Boriyana as our tour manager. She made the trip interesting by sharing the history of the places we visited and keeping us entertained!

Beautiful Cities and the hotels were very nice. They were each centrally located which allowed us to walk anywhere in the city. Especially enjoyed our tour manager Borianna who had exceptional knowledge of the history of all the cities. She was also very amusing and kept us laughing.

I like the excursions and local guides in general. I’d say check with other tour groups before taking a Collette tour. I was not satisfied with the general tour guide who devoted her time to a subgroup of 16 people and was very distant to us and our needs. The tour bus was like a city bus that was over used, outdated and uncomfortable, it needed shocks because I felt every bump in the road. In Vienna, we stayed at a hotel that didn’t offer dinning service so we ended up at McDonalds for dinner. Overall I paid too much for this tour with Collette and would say buyer beware!

Prague was great and would like to revisit this city. There’s a lot to see.

Our tour guide, ***** was wonderful as well as our bus driver, *******. I really liked the hotels and their locations nearby walks to attractions.

I had many memorable experiences. I would like to have had a number of additional/ replacement experiences that are big highlights of the cities but not included on this tour.

*** is a super great general tour manager. What a wonderful personality, well organized and professional. Only one mediocre meal in Vienna and worthless visit to grade school.

Great hotels in great locations. Wonderful dining experiences. We really liked having local guides. Our guide was very knowledgeable, organized, and pleasant.

Tour was fantastic. Tour guide Marius was excellent, helpful and friendly. Although we were rushed several times, mostly the tours gave us plenty of time to view the attractions. The only negative was the short time between gates flying back to the states. We were practically running between flights! The group we were with suggested we should have a choice of flight times, at lest on the return.

Probably touring Prague and the small towns around. Budapest was the prettiest city.

I'd rate our experience 4.5 if that was a choice. While it was largely excellent, with a great guide, there were a few blips in what otherwise would have been a mostly flawless experience. For example, our tour group was given the option of two different events on one evening. We were told that for the option we chose, a bus with a driver would be provided, and that the driver would have a list of everyone scheduled to be on that bus and would check off names to make sure everyone was there. Instead, as we and others who were to go to that event waited in the hotel lobby, as we had been instructed, no one came to get us. Some of us went outside and noticed a bus parked there, with the driver waiting beside it. We asked if this was the bus for the Collette group, and the driver, who spoke little or no English, didn't know. Only after we asked him where he was to be taking people were we able to determine that this must be our bus. No one checked our names to ensure that everyone scheduled for this ride was onboard, although it appears that we all were there (after we convinced our fellow travelers to leave the lobby and board the bus outside). Another issue that bothered us a bit was our tour guide lobbying quite often for tips for him and the driver at the end of the tour. We thought that was a bit much and not something we experienced on previous tours with another company.

Three nights each in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest, with side trips out of these cities to other sites, as well as a stop in Bratislava. Most memorable experience was probably the concert in Vienna (an option at an additional cost) and a nighttime trip on the Danube at Budapest (an option at an additional cost).

I received great help when I called in with questions re: the trip and the flight.

Did not like the evening spent in the village (i.e. restaurant) in Prague. Local dancers and singers were okay for an hour or so, but not all evening. Did not like being herded in to the uncomfortable tables where we sat for a VERY long time. Food was adequate, but not great. Nothing about this was event was good. Also did not like the crowded accommodations at the buffet in Prague. Did not like the rushed dinner in Austria prior to the river boat cruise.

We had a serious issue with luggage charges and overweight charges on Czech Airlines.It seemed to be an automatic refusal by your agent to consider any compensation. It was only after we persisted that we were able to get any consideration from your company.

The concert at the palace in Vienna was the highlight of the trip.

Our tour guide Toni Ray Ingram was wonderful. She was knowledgeable ,personable. Clearly ,she loved the area we were touring. A true professional. The chauffeur service was so convenient. A great way to embark on a journey.

Loved Cesky . We had an extended time here due to a national holiday that altered our schedule.This town was a gem . Our hotels were nice but could have been better . Prague hotel lgreat .Marriott beautiful hotel but did not offer free wifi in room Nh hotel in Budapest didn't like.Courtyard design,room windows faced into lobby courtyard . It was noisy throughout night.

First Trip with Collette. The minute we arrived in Prague and were greeted by our Tour Guide Toni and I got the feeling, that this was going to be a good experience. All Hotels we stayed in were top notch, we had the same motor coach and driver for our entire trip. Good Sightseeing. Overall an Excellent Experience.

Excellent Hotels, Good Sightseeing, Excellent Tour Guide,

Folklore show in Prague is bad. Remove it from tour.

Better hotel maybe and more included events would have been needed to improve rating and I would have paid for this.

No hiccups. Wide variety of activities and sites. Prague beer hall dinner was not my cup of tea but okay. Seating was an issue for me Ellen was THE BEST tour guide I have ever had. Hotel were great with good locations. Just wish I had added more days in Budapest. I guess there is no way to tell people they may regret no adding on days.

Enjoyed the side trips outside main cities. The dinner in Budapest was the most awesome dinner/buffet ever.

Our leader was great, as were all the experiences. We really liked the hotels and they were close to the sights we wanted to see.

One of our better trips and we have done dozen trips.

Great value for the money.

Beautiful picturesque cities and towns. Loved visiting Cesky Krumlov.

Robert Wallenstein was an excellent tour manager He was very attentive and professional.

All hotels very nice with excellent breakfast buffet.

Our tour manager gave us much information and personal experiences since he was from Budapest.

Not quite as detailed and organized as OAT. Would like more of a feel of customs and people that can't be seen from city bus tour. Overall better than I expected however.

Really enjoyed the Danube cruise. Beautiful section of the river.

Great bUT the group arranging flights needs to communicate more to the customer . We had seats on first flight leg apart from each other until I caught it and complained. Same thing happened on last home bound flight and we're unable to change.

Several guided sites we needed more time

The office staff was helpful and quick to respond to my concerns and questions. I did not use the airport sedan service as the company was not easy to contact by phone and did not promptly reply to my voicemail

I chose this tour because it stayed three nights in each city. I do not like to cover a lot of ground by bus and I avoid tours which visit many cities over a short time period. The bus travel was not overly long and less than three nights in Vienna and Budapest would have been far too short; three nights is already inadequate. The highlights of the trip where the preset tours which took you to the city highlights. The hotels were excellent. The locations and quality of rooms exceeded my expectations. The downside of tours is generally the meals as large groups entail a drop in quality but not quantity.

Make it very easy to book the desired destination.

The tour manager knew the tour very well answered a lot of questions. Our guide Nina in Prague was fantastic. Very knowledgable and great sense of humor.

Very helpful on the phone. I was able to get my trip scheduled on the phone and then to get my airline tickets a few days later through them and add on 2 extra days at the hotels on the tour.

The tour overall was an excellent experience with tour and free time nicely divided. I think this tour should be two days longer as I found adding an extra day on each end helped us with jet lag at the beginning and then gave us time to do a few things we could not do on tour at beginning and end. Most of the meals were good but I would not choose the all you can eat buffet style restaurant. These destinations had so many choices of restaurants that even eating out on your own was almost a guarantee to find a good meal at a reasonable price. As for the hotels they were all good. In Budapest I would chose a different location. While near the bridge and easy access to other areas it was not in the best part of town. I would gladly pay a little more to have stayed closer into the city center. Overall we had a congenial group. Ralph our tour guide was informative and witty, relayed historical details, and helped us with currency, history, and language by providing us with handouts. I also would recommend the extra add on tours. One thing I like about Collette is they keep these add ons to a limit. We did two out of the three and found that to be just right. I would not miss those extraordinary nights out on the town or going to dinner and musical event or boat cruises as they were part of the highlights. Also the small towns on the way where we made stops were excellent. I would only say maybe give us another 1- 2 hours per stop over towns so not to be as rushed. That is where the extra two days would allow this to happen without sacrificing time away from other things. I could go on but this trip as it was like no other. Eastern Europe has such old world charm and beauty. Monasteries, castles, cathedrals, museums, music, cobblestone streets, villages, river valleys, mountains, goulash and pastries...need I say more. It truly was a trip of a lifetime for us.
