Tour Activity Level
The activity level for this tour:
You’re a leisurely traveller. You like to discover the energy of a new place, but typically take it easy. You can handle at least one flight of stairs, board a coach, and walk for 15-30 minutes at a time with little difficulty.
You like a balanced approach to travel. You feel confident walking at least 30-45 minutes at a time over a variety of terrains – from cobblestones streets to easy straightaways to a couple hills or flights of stairs. You’re comfortable walking a few city blocks at a time, but need some time to unwind and relax.
You’re an on-the-go traveller. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (1-2 hours) isn’t a big deal. You can navigate hills and uneven ground, climb into various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.), and could possibly anticipate changes in elevation. You can expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure.
You’re ready to seize the day, whatever it may bring. You lead an active life at home (walking, biking, and hiking are things you may enjoy) and few thousand steps a day isn’t out of the norm. You can handle longer walking tours (more than 90 minutes), traversing dusty or uneven terrain, standing for periods of time, varying altitudes and temperatures, and don’t mind being on the go with some early starts, late-night experiences, and full days. Unfortunately, this level is not appropriate for individuals who use wheelchairs or walkers.

TourScotland a totally wasted trip because Collette "forgot" to book our tour of Ediburgh Castle and the Royal Britannia. So....we made a long bus (coach) trip for absobutely nothing. Did/saw nothing in Scotland. Most days throughout tour were charactorized by long coach rides, short excursions, and too many toilet breaks at gift shops that paid Collette a comission to stop there. Ireland was great at every stop.
Thank you for sharing your experience of this tour. We have passed along your feedback to members of our product team to review so they can improve the tour for future guests. We appreciate your business. If there's anything else you would like to share about the tour, please be sure to reach out.

fantastic overview of the UK countries
-
ServiceWe had a wonderful tour director, Norman Greene, who regaled us with stories and provided historical, cultural, and current events background so that we could understand better what we were seeing. We loved the Cooks' Academy, the border collie demonstration and sheep shearing, and Stac Polly in Dublin. All of the offered meals - breakfasts and dinners - were excellent; and Norman's recommendations for lunches were spot on. We enjoyed the special nights, including and extra song and dance one Norman suggested in Killarney. We loved all of the sites and feel we got a good overview. We would like to return for single country tours and spend more time in each place.

ServiceThe tour guide was very good. He told us about the areas we were in and gave us a lot of info we would'nt have known otherwise. My main complaint with the trip was getting back home. When we were on the plane to Indianapolis, we got a call saying they couldn,t find us a ride from Indy to Columbus. It was the middle of the night and we were stuck at the airport with no way home. Fortunately, we were able to find a way home and only had to wait about 20 minutes for our ride to get there. I feel that we should not have been put in this position. Also, we never heard from collette again. They didn't check to see if we found a way home or not.
-
TourVery informative tour. We saw a lot in just 2 weeks.
Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Exploring Britain & Ireland tour. We're sorry to hear about flight issues you experienced on your way home from tour. We did attempt to reconfirm your hometown transfer based off of your new flight schedule however the vendor was not able to accommodate. According to our notes we mailed out a refund check and letter of apology on October 31.

-
A lot to see in a short time
-
ServiceLoved our guide. He provided lots of information about the UK and helpful hints about viewing the areas.
-
TourTravelled far, perhaps a bit too far but necessary to see a lot of the UK. Favorite spots were Caernarfon and Grassmere. All stops were nice but too short. The only changes I have to suggest is not to visit Greta Green, I found it too touristy and find a better example of Hadrian's Wall.

Personable guide organized to maximize tour experience
-
ServiceWell organized and planned to make the most of our tour with individual time, too. Our guide, Norman, was personable providing information about the area, as well as music, history, customs, and more. He was always upbeat and positive.
-
TourSheep herding dog & sheep sheering demo, and cooking class were new experiences. So much culture and history provided insights to life then and now. Tour manager enlivened the experience with his knowledge, music, and stories. Have highly recommended this trip to others!

Another wonderful travel adventure thanks to Collette.
-
ServiceCollette provides well planned adventures and very knowledgeable tour guidance. you don't just visit places...you also are provided history and information about each destination, and tour guide becomes one of the group traveling.
-
TourEntire tour was wonderful adventure! If I had to pick favorite place, it would be Edinburg, Scotland. So much to explore there. Dublin, Ireland was fun too. Both places so easy to navigate walking about, and excellent choices of dining experiences. Christine, our tour guide, made the adventure complete. Thanks Christine!

ServiceThe tour guide (Christine) was personable, knowledgeable, and very informative. She kept us informed of all the items we needed to know about. She was a workhorse and never let up,.

TourThe entire tour was exciting with some of the most beautiful views of the great scenery. We had a fun time at the Scottish Night Out. The Waterford Crystal factory was very interesting.

ServiceThe trip was absolutely fantastic. Christine was the perfect host, and always had a smile on her face. I appreciate all the time and work she put into make this a pleasant trip. And both our bus drivers were great too. Very funny and greeted us every time we go on and off the bus.
-
TourLoved all of the stops; Stonehenge, Bath, Killarney, Dublin, Edinburg, York and Stratford. Favorites were kissing the Blarney Stone, watching the sheep dogs herd sheep, and cooking a meal at the culinary school.

-
ServiceI have purposely deleted responding to this request for two reasons. First off, I provided specific written feedback to your Tour Manager, David Cormier, at the conclusion of our tour. Have you not received? Secondly, I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with this tour with my travel agent who sold it to me. I have just done that and I fully expect that you would hear her explain why I clearly will never again consider a Collette package.

ServiceThe tour guide was exceptional. Everything was well done and orderly. He was informative and had a fun sense of humor. I am a single person so taking a tour like this was the best for me.
-
TourThe tour was great. It is hard to say what the favorite was because I enjoyed everything but the Guiness Brewery tour. The history that went along with the sites that we saw was so interesting. Also just riding in the bus from place to place and seeing the countryside was outstanding. You don't get this in the United States.
-
-
The whole 15-day tour was wonderful. Great itinerary! Hotels good.
-
ServiceService was great - tour mgr John Barton & coach driver Antony Holland were great.
-
TourCollette did a great job in every area - especially loved seeing all the beautiful flowers everywhere & the countrysides of the country we visited. We enjoyed the sheep herding/shearing demonstration. Also enjoyed the Irish & Scottish Nights Out..

-
ServiceCollette took care of everything. Very well organized, top quality accommodations, fabulous meals, outstanding tour guides! We saw and experienced so much! The tour was above & beyond my expectations. Definitely worth the money! I don't hesitate to recommend Collette, in fact I look forward to our next tour with Collette!
-
TourTour guide, John Hogan, make this tour so memorable, as well as bus driver, Malachy McGowan. They gave us a real flavor of our tour. It is hard post just one memorable experience, as there were so many. I did sign up for this particular tour because it included The Royal Military Tattoo. It didn't disappoint! This tour was fast paced and very well organized. We saw so much in a short time. I would highly recommend this tour and Collette! Can't say enough good! It truly was a 'trip of a Lifetime" with "Forever Memories!"
-
-
-
The trip was well organized, and our tour guide was excellent. Outstanding!
-
ServiceThe trip was fast paced and included a lot of different venues. That is exactly what we wanted.
-
TourWe enjoyed all of the different stops, but we especially liked Ireland. Such a beautiful country. We also enjoyed the tattoo in Scotland. That was the reason we chose to go on the dates we selected.
-
-
we were very busy, learned alot, Norman was very knowledable.
-
ServiceMost of the trip was awesome, we had a bad start, british air was cancelled out of Chicago, lost our leg room seats, went on American, but, in the cheap seats. Some of the hotels had air, and some didn't. Some people got the air, my husband was having breathing issues, one in Ireland, and one in Whales, did not. he really had issues, no other rooms available. The last one in England, no air, some did, the food there was excellent, but the rooms need to be upgrades, doors bad, bathroom tub, parts need to be fixed, he left French door open so he could breathe, French doors not good either. I think they were short on help. The chairs in the dining room needed to be cleaned. Some others said mold was in the rooms.
-
TourOnly because it rained, set 2 hours in rain. It was beautiful, I went, my husband didn't because of his breathing issues.
Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Exploring Britain & Ireland featuring Edinburgh Military Tattoo tour. We're sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your outbound flights and with the quality of the hotel rooms. Your feedback will be reviewed by our internal department managers in order to improve the overall touring experience for our guests.

Tour with Collette just once and you'll be hooked!
-
ServiceI recommend Collette wholeheartedly. We've been with them four times now (in Canada, U. S., and UK). We were in nine UK hotels during our 14-day tour, and most were fine, but a couple had really tiny rooms. Compared to the typical bathrooms in U. S. homes and hotels, UK hotel rooms are weird. Half doors for showers? Too-shallow sinks for washing/shaving. You have to leave your room keycard in the wall recepticle inside the door for the lights to come on! Just plain weird and bothersome! Our Tour Manager was wonderful. Two full weeks of rounding us up several times a day to get back on the motor coach, and yet he never lost one of us.... maximum points for that! He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the places we went to, their history, their importance, etc. He also had a wonderful sense of humor, and above everything else, a devotion to the guests to keep them informed, happy, and fed (often). He was very good at it because he's been with Collette for 36 years. In short, Collette really knows how to run a motor coach tour....top to bottom.
-

Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Exploring Britain & Ireland featuring Edinburgh Military Tattoo tour. We're happy to hear you had such a wonderful time! -
ServiceExcellent tour manager (Michelle Gammon Purvis). Excellent coach driver (Keith). Tour well designed. Would give it 5 stars were it not for a final warm night in lodging with no air conditioning or fans in the rooms. Pacing good. Choice of sites appropriate, though when we were close to Salisbury at Stonehenge, we wish we had also had Salisbury included. (We went there later on our own.)
-
TourScenery in Ireland. Beyond that, hard to pick favorites. All good and enjoyable.
-
-
-
ServiceI had an amazing time. Norman Greene was the absolute best guide I could have asked for. He was incredibly informative and passionate about what he was talking about. The only thing I didn’t like was that we didn’t have a break in between the whole trip. My family was so tired and wanted a day or half a day where we could stay in one spot and relax. Other than that it was an amazing time.
-
TourI had a great time in Ireland.

Collette aims to please
-
ServiceThe customer service with Collette was very good. Any questions or concerns were always handled in a prompt, helpful and friendly manner.
-
TourThe tour overall was excellent and our tour guide Norman was just the best. We saw and did SO MUCH and learned many new things. The pace was exhausting but there's just no way to see the best of four countries in twelve days without keeping a constant move on. The Ring of Kerry, The Lakes Region and Edinburgh were among my many memorable experiences.
-
-
-
ServiceGreat service, well organized trip.
-
TourOur tour manager was excellent: we missed our connection flight due to delay and lost our luggage in the process but she promptly made arrangements to accommodate us and helped us get our luggage back. She is very knowledgeable and kept us informed during the trip. Cook Academy activity is the best.

ServiceTransportation and baggage handling well done -- coaches comfortable and clean, drivers excellent, scheduling well done. One glitch on airport to first hotel...otherwise no problems at all. Tour Director responsive and helpful in all service matters.

Tour1200 mi trip was eventful in many respects. Great overview of Great Britain and Ireland. One sub-standard hotel but others were very good to excellent.

-
ServiceWell organized - able to see and experience many things.
-
TourGood value for the money-covered a lot of territory and saw a lot of sites etc.
-
-
-
ServiceTrip was well planned. Guide was good. Would suggest they stress how active this trip is with daily moves and walking. This trip had more walking than any other I’ve taken. May be difficult for some. Had a wonderful time!!!
-
TourSeveral activities. Sheep farm, Waterford crystal, cooking class, stop in Lake District, free afternoon in Edinburgh. Always Ireland. My second visit there and I would go back again! Found that I prefer the countryside rather than cities.
-
-
-
ServiceI enjoyed the cities and towns visited very much. Would definitely go back to revisit some as there was never enough time to really explore. Collette has a good selection of cities on this tour and for the most part they did well. We did experience a few mishaps on our tour, and for that I am not sure I would travel with them again.
-
TourWe experienced a few mishaps on this tour due to Collette so I am only giving 3 stars. Some of the accommodations were not good. Some of my favorites include the London tour guide who was excellent, and the Wales tour guide also was excellent. Really enjoyed the Lake District, the small towns visited in Ireland and Blarney Castle.
-
-
-
ServiceTraveling with party of 3 and asked we be placed on same floor(area) of hotels. Did not happen but three, perhaps four times despite discussing with tour director. Content of program very good while delivery of services lacking. Have used more than 4 other tour companies so I have an idea of how they work and I do appreciate there can be glitches in the best ones too. However, there were many from being served extremely late dinners both entering and on last night.
-
TourWrote a lot but it disappeared. Program quality very good. Delivery of services lacking. Taken tours with more than 4 other tour companies so o know difference. Hotels (particularly Holiday Inn in York$ not good. Meals late on both entering & leaving the tour. Not placed near my group despite repeated requests to tour director. Local tour guides outstanding

ServiceEverything about this trip was excellent. The hotels were good, the bus was very comfortable and we saw so much. Our tour manager, Erin, was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful.
-
TourWe saw and did so much on the tour. I enjoyed touring the castles and all the history, Stonehenge and the Roman Baths, but my favorite day was the "jaunty car ride" through the national park and later that day seeing the sheep dog herding the sheep.
-
-
-
ServiceLimo service to and from the airport is a great service. Tour pricing, existing customer credit, sites, scheduling of tours and expertise of the the tour guide, John, accommodations were great. The only downside which left us scrambling after receiving our tour package was our exstention of time London at the end of our tour.
-
TourCulinary experience in Dublin was terrific as was the sheep herding demonstration at the Kissane Sheep Farm, Jaunty carts thru Killarney National Park, overall tour was great.

This was a fabulous tour!

ServiceNorman, our tour guide and Marcelo, our driver made the tour safe, informative, and fun. Kudos to them both!

ServiceThe Tour Manager, Shelly Lowerison and Burs Driver, Keith, were both excellent. We enjoyed our tour very much. We went so many places and saw so much. This was an excellent tour!! We would go on another tour with you and would recommend Collette to our friends.
-
TourWell organized and excellent staff with us on the tour.

-
ServiceEverything was great until my daughter-in-law became ill in Ireland. Then Collett relied too much on the insurance services to help us. Collett should do a bit better at making and keeping contact with stranded customers. The insurance companies like On Call do not talk to the patients nor their companions. We felt abandoned until we were able to contact our own health insurance company.
-
TourWhat we experienced was great. But after we had to leave the tour due to illness it didn't go well and cost us a fortune.
Thank you for traveling with Collette on our Exploring Britain & Ireland tour. We're very sorry to hear your daughter-in-law became ill while on tour. Our emergency team at Collette did try to contact you at the hospital and hotel daily. The notes indicate we eventually made contact via email. -
ServiceOur tour was excellent as we saw so much in just two weeks. Our guide John Hogan was FABULOUS as he was knowledgeable, organized, considerate and caring of all his clients! The drivers were exceptional. Hotels were excellent (Dunloe Hotel) and good EXCEPT for the Holiday Inn In York, which was below standard previously set.
-
TourHighlights at every stop! Exceptional stay at Dunloe Hotel outside of Killarney! Please send recipes from Cooks Academy in Dublin for Irish Dinner

Good Customer Service, Disappointing Tour Moments
-
ServiceCollette has always done well as far as customer service. We were disappointed with the London city tour on our trip. We were not afforded good views of Parliament, the Tower of Big Ben, Tower Bridge, etc. If you weren't on the correct side of the bus, views and photo opportunities were almost nonexistent.
-
TourSee my previous remarks - we traveled quite a distance to see some of the iconic sights of London, and missed them by being on the wrong side of the bus.
-
-
-
ServiceGreat tour manager - Norman Greene - informative, friendly, helpful. Local guides were also very good. Need more clarification about FEXCO VAT refund procedure and the time limit (not clear that it must be done within 30 days from Purchase Date) information received at Waterford factory (and follow up information from Norman not well explained.
-
TourMost memorable Ring of Kerry and also Edinburgh.

Collette office screwed up our scedule
-
ServiceOur tour scheduling was generally very good but they messed up on the Wales to Ireland ferry schedule causing us to miss the ferry and one of our destinations, Waterford. Essentially it cost us one whole day of our tour which was over scheduled to begin with. Our tour guide was great and did his best but the Collette office screwed up.
-
TourOver scheduled and didn't have enough time at destinations.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Britain and Ireland. Please accept our sincere apology for the issue with the ferry while on tour. As a customer service gesture, we have processed monetary refunds and sent out letters of apology. Please reach out to our Guest Relations Team if you have any questions.

ServiceWhen I booked, it was a good experience.
-
TourThe booking went smoothly. DD NOT send a "novice" tour manager on a 14 day tour. Mike Wilson did not want to adhere to Collette protocols. He did not want to visit the advertised sites (this is the contract we paid for.). He had other "personal" agendas to attend to...and they didn't include his paying customers.

-
Perfect choice of tour company!
-
ServiceThis was my 3rd Colette tour and all were exceptional. Great, knowledgeable guides, skilled drivers, comfortable hotel, and amazing voices of activities.
-
TourOur guide and drivers were amazing! Our guide was very organized, patient and flexible. We always felt safe with our drivers. We saw so much on this tour it is hard to pin point a favorite memory. I expected to like Ireland the most and was surprised to find that I fell in love with Scotland, especially Edinburgh.
-
-
Excellent service.
-
ServiceThe service was great. Everthing that Collette and their partners in Roseburg (Gary and Denise Freitas) could control happened as planned. I don't recall any hangups or problems. We would totally go again. In fact, we are planning on the Fall 2019 France tour.
-
TourThe tour was wonderful and very memorable. It covered a lot of miles; in fact we were told it covered the most miles of any Collette tour. There were a lot of one-night stays, but that is to be expected to cover that many miles.

ServiceYes, we would consider buying and traveling with them again. *They need to reconsider the Guinness brewery tour!! Very disappointing ..... and multiple persons on our tour had same reaction. It was very crowded, tour guide RUSHED us through, did not speak into the microphone so you could hear, didn’t wait for the group....we got all spread out due to crowd. We had no time to look at the educational murals throughout the tour and were told “you can come back later and look at them” but of course, you can’t....due to tour setup and lack of time. Our tour guide stated that he has had many people complain about that venue and that he has passed this information on to Collette in the past. * Many of the venues on our tour were hurried. On our itinerary it may have said we would be somewhere for approximately 3 hrs and tour guide said” Be back on bus in an hour and a half”. We were never anywhere for the indicated amount of time on the tour itinerary. *As a celiac, there were gluten free options but often when getting off bus and hurrying off for lunch, I had no idea which restaurants were more able to provide a decent selection of gluten free. It would have been much easier for me with time restrictions to have a brief list of eating establishments at that location that had a good set up of serving gluten free. *Good maps provided to us at Beginning of the tour instead of last couple days of the tour (when tour guide mapped out where we HAD been) would have been very helpful. As a first time traveler with a tour, I didn’t realize how confused I got about where we were in the country and where we were headed. Maybe that is something that could be suggested in pretour information as being helpful for the tourist. I certainly will make certain that I have one next time I travel on a tour!!
-
TourSince my husband’s great grandfather came from Tipperary County during the potato famine, being at Rock of Cashel in Tipperary County was one of our highlights. I also had an ancestor who taught in Tipperary Co and have letters from him to my grandmother describing the view of the mountains that we saw. We both enjoyed the Waterford Crystal tour, the Ring of Kerry trip and I enjoyed seeing a variety of castles, which has always captured my imagination.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Britain and Ireland. Your feedback will be reviewed by the Product Design Team responsible for creating the itinerary for this tour.

ServiceAgent we spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and resolved all our issues. Printed material was informative, and helped us chronicle our adventures when we got home! It made everything clear and we knew just what to expect. Guide Norman Greene was fun, informative, and tons of help. Coach driver Chris managed to move the bus safely through many twisty, turny areas!
-
TourAmbitious trip! But Norman and Chris (plus the awesome group we were part of) made it wonderful. Traveling an average of 250 miles per travel day could be a real grind, but the bus seats were comfortable, and Norman kept us informed, entertained, and educated with history, anecdotes, and myths of the areas we visited. He even explained rugby while we waited for one of our restaurants! We did have some issues with beds. I'm a "big boy" and sometimes the beds were pretty small. Most were fine. We had one that was a double, but we barely fit (Grosvenor Pulford)! Luckily we didn't fall out. MY favorite moment was the "Jaunty Tour"; Brenda's was kissing the Blarney Stone (she called it "monumental."

ServiceOptional excursions really add to the trip. I have recommended Collete travel to many.
-
TourRock of Cashell, Jaunting Carriage ride, Stonehenge
-
-
The guide was very good with information.
-
ServiceI was very pleased with our tour guide Norman Green. Was not pleased with the driver that was sent to pick us up at the airport. The company you use for transporting people from the airport to the hotel should be replaced. The guide did some very cute Irish songs on the bus to help time go by.
-
TourThe Blarney Stone was very different experience.
-
-
Fun, educational and organized!
-
ServiceLorraine, our tour guide, was super-organized and kept us organized. Herding cats is a good analogy as to what she had to work with! She was also very knowledgeable and very funny. Made the trip fun and educational. We especially liked the videos during the long coach rides.
-
TourWe had a total serendipity moment when we went to Caernarfon Castle. Walked in the front gate and there was a BUBBLE CONTEST going on! Beautiful sunny day and soap bubbles EVERYWHERE! Kids were running and shrieking and laughing (as were some adults) as they tried to catch bubbles. This was not planned by Collette or Lorraine, but was totally magical!
-
-
The trip was just what we wanted.
-
ServiceThis package was a long one and trip was well organized. Much of the success can be attributed to the tour manager. Ours did a good job in educating us on the sights, customs and history through the journey. A suggestion I would make is that the time between arrival at the hotel and departing for dinner allow enough time for the luggage to be delivered to the room.
-
TourThere is always room for improvement.
-
-
great
-
Servicewell organized, great guide, lots of fun, an all around good tour and would recommend highly.
-
Tourthe only draw back is the exchange with our can dollar.

Great trip...would recommend to anyone.
-
ServiceWell planned to see the most of Great Britain in a brief 2 weeks. All details well handled. Hotels very good. Guides very knowledgeable. Natives very friendly. Recommend this trip.

Collette Guided Tours are the best way to see alot in a short time
-
ServiceOur tour manager, Lorraine Robertson was simply outstanding. She was very good at keeping us on track with the schedule. We enjoyed every aspect of our guided tour, but enjoyed every moment of our free time as well. I would recommend Collette to anyone willing to listen to our praises. We plan on using Collette in the future for other bucket list trips.
-
TourAll of Ireland and Scotland were the highlights of our tour. I can not single out a particular moment as a favorite, for they all were favorites.
-
-
-
ServiceOur guide....John.....was very knowledgeable, attentive and funny! The bus driver...Chris... was able to get that vehicle around like a compact car!
-
TourThe British Tattoo performance was amazing and left a quite memorable impression on me! Wish we had more time in London and Dublin. Not so much at Gretna Green or Llanfairpwllgwngll..... too touristy and just shopping stops really.
-
-
-
ServiceEverything was taken care of: from the pick-up at our door to take us to the airport, to Lorraine's cheerful face waiting for us upon arrival, to being dropped off at home -- everything was arranged and handled smoothly and professionally. I'd definitely take and/or recommend a Collette tour in an instant.
-
TourWe were able to see and experience so much in the time we had ... of course we wish we could have stayed longer in each place! The highlights of our tour were the Edinburgh Tattoo, Windsor Castle, and the cooking class in Dublin -- what fun!
-
-
Awesome Experience!
-
ServiceThe organization was great. Our Guide April Smith was very well informed and kept the entire trip interesting and filled with anticipation. the taking care of luggage, the travel from place to place was a blessing and the entry to places was super. And the little specials on the journey ..snacks from the country ,etc... was delightful The quality of the rooms was great as well as the places we ate. Thanks so much for the time and effort
-
TourThe cooking class was an unexpected surprise and delicious. The Tattoo was a wonderful ending experience. We had been anticipating this and were not disappointed.
-
-
-
ServiceGood service. A gap in communication right at the beginning. We almost missed the kickoff dinner, because between Lorraine and the hotel we did not get our initial packet in time. Otherwise, very good.
-
TourGreat tour. Saw lots of stuff !!
-
-
Great comprehensive tour of Great Britian
-
ServiceVery comprehensive trip with something for everyone. Fun tour guide - kept up with last minute changes, etc. Showed us informative films pertaining to the history of what we were seeing and visiting. Excellent driver! He kept us safe and was very courteous. Good hotels with some being really excellent. We enjoyed staying at the Bath Apex rather than the originally planned overnight in Wales. Bath was really fun, beautiful and interesting. We loved the Dunloe in Killarney! The Grosvenor in Chester was first rate. We saw an incredible amount and covered a lot of territory on this tour. It was organized well with the right amount of stops and activities. The dinners were excellent, fun and varied. We enjoyed the cooking class in Dublin and the Irish House show. The local tour guides were all excellent and knowledgeable.
-
TourThere were many memorable experiences such as seeing the sites which we had read about and studied for years - like Stonehenge and visiting Bath, where our daughter had studied in college, my husband kissed the Blarney Stone, we went for a jaunting car ride in Killarney Nat'l Park, Seeing the Rock of Cashel and the Guinness tour, Caernarfon Castle, passing the sign for " Hutton", the town named for my husband's ancestors just south of Gretna Green in the border country, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Military Tattoo. The supreme personal highlight of the tour for us was finding my husband's Elizabethan ancestor's tomb in York minster cathedral.
-
-
-
ServiceEverything was well planned. Accommodations were comfortable. The excursions were varied and excitingly different from just going from castle to castle! Our tour manager was awesome, really helpful for me with my asthma problems and slower walking.
-
TourIt was entertaining and very different from what I expected at the Military Tattoo. Everything was great.
-
-
-
ServiceThis is our second tour with Collette. The tour manager kept the tour and group moving with precision. The tours and hotels met or exceeded our expectations. There was nothing my wife and I had to worry about during this two week experience, except for getting our luggage out on time and getting into the coach.
-
TourWe used Columbus Travel to handle our arrangements. She is excellent!
-
-
Best tour company. Absolutely great
-
ServiceThey really take care of everything. Our guide for the most recent tour was perfect along with our driver. Norman and Chris were the best compliment together. This was our third tour and we are already trying to decide where we will go next year with Collette.
-
TourGreat tour. While 14 days seems like a lot, now I want to go back for more in depth coverage. Seeing Stonehenge was a highlight as well as Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
-
-
-
ServiceThe trip was wonderful and everything went just as planned. We went to so many places and saw so much that without our pictures I would have forgotten some. I highly recommend Collette.
-
TourI believe the trip was worth every penny spent.
-
-
-
ServiceGreat tours, especially with the local tour guides.
-
TourI loved the ring of Kerry and the drive through the hills in Scotland. This tour gave me Sakely what I thought it was terms of seeing the beauty of the countryside. Love the Jaunting car ride.
-
-
Too much time on bus.
-
ServiceThis was my first and last bus tour. We spent too much time on the bus. The bus was cramped for a large individual and my knees were up against the back of the seat in front of me. If possible, hotels should be airconditioned and beds should be wider. The meals that are included in the packages should be the travelers choice for the particular restaurants that are chosen. Emphasis should not be put on alcoholic beverages since many do not drink. I personally was disappointed that none of the packages offered fish and chips, Shepard's pie or bangers and mash. I also think that if the trip manager, bus driver, and tour guides pay should be included in the price of the packages and not expect the people on the tour to tip them as an add on. You should be the experts on what they are worth and not me. I was disappointed that we did not see more of the small towns that we passed on the bus. I am sure that there is more to see that just castles, for example I enjoyed the sheep dog exhibit and the Waterford crystal factory. Too much was spent on the history of the monarchy. The guides were will informed but I did not need to know the total history of the monarchy of the United Kingdom.
-
TourAlready did this. I do not understand the question.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Britain and Ireland. Your feedback will be processed and forwarded to the Product Manager who works on this tour. Invaluable feedback such as yours allow us to identify tour components that need improvement and make the necessary adjustments.

ServiceThe itinerary gave a good taste of the countries. It was as was listed in the online information. It would have been a little more helpful if more detail was given about the guided tours in the individual towns to make it easier to plan our free time to see those places not covered by the tour. The tour agent with Avoya travel provided good service in planning and purchasing the tour.
-
TourThe itinerary was good and the pace comfortable. Most of the hotels were quite nice with the exception of the hotel in Cardiff. Some notable highlights were in Ireland--the jaunting car ride in Killarney, the Ring of Kerry and the Old Library at Trinity College in Dublin.
-
-
-
ServiceOur guide, John Hogan and driver were excellent! They were very informative and the sites we visited were exactly what we wanted!! Kudos to them!
-
TourIt would be impossible to pick only parts of the tour. It was all great
-
-
-
ServiceProvided an excellent tour guide with plenty of information. I would recommend and use Collette again
-
TourCardiff and Killarney were very enjoyable cities to walk about!!! Bath should have been extended so that one could have seen the architecture of the Royal Crescent and the Circus. The ferry ride was excellent and relaxing. The Ring of Kerry was beautiful!!! Dublin, Edinburg and London were bigs cities and too busy. The small section of Hadrian's wall was disappointing!!! York and Stratford-upon-Avon were a real delight!!!

Comprehensive Tour of the UK
-
ServiceVery comprehensive tour of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland compressed into 15 days. We had an excellent tour manager and was able to keep all 38 of us on schedule for this tour. We drive over 1400 miles on the tour and the bus was new, but did not have much legroom.
-
TourComprehensive tour and had great weather throughout the vacation.
-
-
An amazing trip
-
ServiceThey got the 5 STAR mainly because of the tour guide.
-
TourThe variety of things and places we had seen and again the tour guide.
-
-
This was a very recommendable trip.
-
ServiceNorman, our fearless leader made the two weeks go perfect. Andy, his driving skill was so good & his knowledge of the trip was from experience but it was a fun experience. Every day was full, from start of the day to the end. Thank you for such a good trip.
-
TourWe did explore so many areas if the UK. Fun trip.
-
-
-
ServiceReally had a great time. Norman is knowledgeable and funny! Andy is a prince of a driver.
-
TourToo many memorable experiences to list: top 5–Killarney jaunting ride, Viking tour in Waterford, Coventry cathedral, Stonehenge, Wales sheep herding demo. I would have preferred to see Beatrix Potter’s farm and skipped Wordsworth. Many of us would have liked that. Better shopping for grandkids.

"Seeing where our forefathers hailed from, was a real thrilling thing."
-
ServiceWe have traveled extensively over the last 45 years of our marriage, so we are not novices regarding travel companies and cruise lines. We selected to have Collette Tours to ****** us through the British Isles and Ireland, due to their vast 100-year experience with hosting group travels. We were pleasantly surprised with the coordination, the accommodations and our tour guide's knowledge of the terrain, culture and historical facts. The itinerary was perfect for what we wanted to achieve. After nearly three months worth of advanced research and asking for answers to most of our questions, we embarked upon this adventure knowing that we were being treated to the very best experience money could buy. Knowing that we might see and witness the homestead of our relatives in England, Scotland ( King of Scotland, circa 834 A.D. ) and Ireland ( Castlemagner, in County Cork, Ireland ) and other royalty, this was the epiphany that we were looking for. How many people can claim to be related to the King of Scotland, some 40 generations ago ? So, from this point of view, this tour through the British Isles, London, Wales, Ireland and Scotland was right of target . . . a once-in-a-lifetime adventure !!!
-
TourThe places we visited, while on the tour, were surreal !!!
-
-
Enjoyable Tour
-
ServiceI would recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in an overview of the U.K. Very enjoyable tour which highlighted the sights of London (York, Lakes District, Stratford Upon Avon), Wales, Scotland and Ireland. The hotels and service were great, and the transfers went smoothly, I was picked up by very professional drivers who were waiting for me at every stop! If you want a no hassle trip, Collette should be your choice, they take care of everything. This is my second Collette tour and again they didn't disappoint!
-
TourExcellent tour. I had a very enjoyable time.
-
-
-
First time to Great Britains.
-
ServiceCollette's booking and customs service by telephone are good. They always helped with my concerns. I do have a complaint about the actual tour. On the next to last night we had prepaid for the optional Flavors of York experience. Only 3 people had signed up, so I understand why it was canceled. However, the next morning at breakfast I encountered someone who was staying in the exact same hotel with a different Collette tour. Her group had been able to experience the Flavors of York. I wish Collette had arranged for us to join the other group.
-
TourWe liked the time to find other highlights on our own.
-
-
-
ServiceThe whole reservation process was very easy and the agents were always willing to answer questions!
-
TourThe tour was excellent and we can't whittle the experience down to just one favorite!

ServiceAll of Collette tour managers are great. They take good care of their travel clients. Hotels are very good. Meals are good they give you a nice choice that everyone should be able to enjoy there meal. The sites that Collette takes their travel clients to see are great. If a problem comes up, like when are bus broke down, are bus driver got us safely to the side of the road. Safety procedure given to us. Our bus driver called in for a new bus to pick us up and we were on are way within 2 hours. The most important thing I can say about Collette is I feel safe traveling with them. I have always recommend Collette to other people because of how they keep their travel clients safe, the places they take us to. Collette provides a great experence.
-
TourI took this tour 20 years ago, and enjoyed it then. I have enjoyed the tour this time also. Because I saw different thing this time but also saw sites I saw 20 years ago which was good to see again.

First time with Collette
-
ServiceCollette's customer service is superb - friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. When you call with a question they know what you are talking about and are able to answer your concern immediately and they offer an immediate email confirmation.
-
TourWe especially enjoyed the jaunting car ride in Killarney National Park.
-
-
-
Overall good experience
-
ServiceThey gave us a good overview of the 4 countries in a short period of time. The whisper sound machines really helped hear the guide for most situations. The last coach that we had didn't have enough leg room for the long distances that we drove.
-
TourGood memories followed us home especially the view from our hotel room in Edinburgh, Scotland of the Edinburgh Castle.
-
-
Four countries Inn two weeks
-
ServiceEvery minute was planned, but with utmost concern for their customers' comfort, and well being. Even on long bus rides, ***** provided entertainment with stories, music, etc..
-
TourWindsor Castle especially interesting because it continues to be the summer residence of the Queen and family.
-
-
Good but expected better
-
ServiceThe tour was very good. Good tour guide however, I would have liked more info from him as we entered into towns along the way. Also there was a significant stomache illness all through the guests during the entire 2 weeks. I think a bit more attention could have been paid to this. While there were 2 or 3 very nice hotels, a few were well below average.
-
TourThe stops along the tour were very good!
-
-
-
ServiceWe thought the tour was very good. Enjoyed visiting so many different areas and experiencing those cultures. We were however disappointed in some of the hotels we stayed in as they were not up to the standard we had experienced from Collette in the past. Also we were disappointed that there were such limitations in the alcoholic beverages at the dinners, even the dinners which we paid for As additional options. We Have never had that experience on any tour we have taken before. Also there should have been water available on the bus. Everyone on the tour mentioned that. Hopefully these comments will help you to improve your service in the future.
-
TourIt was difficult to single out one experience on the tour. There were many!
-
-
Great trip with Colette

Touring Great Britain!
-
ServiceWe traveled throughout England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. Our Collette tour from booking until landing back at home was flawless. **** ******* worked around the many weather changes to bring us from the West coast to London and ****** was a perfect travel guide; relating stories with great humor and showing such enthusiasm for his beautiful homeland. He took great care of every traveler. We were able to see big cities as well as amazing countryside. We will travel with Collette again. We're just licking our chops to see where we want to travel next.
-
Tour*****, our travel guide, made the trip more fascinating than we could have imagined. We saw the big cities but were able to get a real feel for the countrysides and small villages. The choices of which amazing castles to visit, which small towns would give the flavor of the country, and which tours to offer (who knew a cooking class in Dublin would be as talked about by the men as the women?!) made this a trip of a lifetime. 'Just a great trip all around.

-
ServiceCollette is a great travel company. This is the second time that I have used this company and I would definitely use them again.
-
TourI loved Ireland and Scotland. Didn't care for London

-
TourWas able to see everything I wanted to

ServiceOur tour guide and our bus driver were great! The choices of attractions we saw were first rate. The Royal Military Tattoo was outstanding.
-
TourVery good tour! The Royal Military Tattoo was great!

ServiceMy wife and I so enjoyed the trip. It was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide and bus drivers worked hard to make it a success. They thought of everything! And, at the conclusion of the trip when the airline cancelled our flight home, the folks at Collette stepped in procuring another itinerary for us. Thank you.
-
TourTraveling through the countryside of Great Britain, Wales, Ireland and Scotland was amazing. There is so much history there. The only room for improvement, in my opinion, was the poor customer service and lack of willingness to accommodate the group at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa. It was the worse hotel experience of my life. I would not recommend that property.
-
-
Collette's Excellence
-
ServiceCollette has excellent service from door-to-door pickup to great hotels, good food, nice buses, excellent tour managers. We have toured with them at least 5 times and each one was superb.
-
TourThe military tattoo was outstanding. We also enjoyed the church at Coventry.
-

ServiceI will definitely recommend Collette to my friends. My experience with them was great
-
TourThis tour was great. We saw so many places it is hard to pick a favorite I loved it all.

-
ServiceThe trip was very good. The hotels were also good. the options were good. The tour director was very knowledgeable about what was happening. Good trip over all.

TourExposed us (briefly) to a wide range of sights and experiences across parts of the world we'd not seen before. Most memorable was the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
-
-
A fantastic tour of the UK!
-
ServiceThe Tour Manager was fantastic as was the bus driver. *Personal details removed by Feefo* was very upbeat, professional, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. *Personal details removed by Feefo* was an excellent driver with a great sense of humor and told us some wonderful stories of his experiences. The hotels were all first-class- meals were all excellent and sites visited were all wonderful choices. A great trip!
-
TourEdinburgh Military Tatoo was the highlight of our tour.
-
-
-
ServiceWe have already talked with *personal details removed by Feefo* to share our issues with this trip. But we forgot to let you know about some of the hotel eating experiences. At tha hotel in Killarney several of us asked for another roll and were told that they were out of more rolls. When it came to chose our dessert they were out of the one I wanted, I asked to speak to the manager and he just blew me off. All the other desserts had some kind of chocolate in them and I did not want to be up all night. After I got a dessert he came back by, did not say a word, left and came back with the one I had originally asked for. ??? At breakfast one morning my husband asked for a little more syrup and was told they were out of syrup. We also noticed several times at different hotels that we were seated and given a different breakfast than the "non tour people" staying at the hotel. They had a bigger variety to chose from. We have travelled with Collette three times now and on all of the tours we noticed that the "tour group" seems to receive a different and lower quality of rooms and food than other people staying at same hotel. Thank you for wanting to know about our experience.
-
TourTour guide was sick when we got on the bus and he gave his cold to about half of the bus. He did not engage with us while driving, several times we never even heard anything from him for over an hour. One tour we had that he gave a lecture on, it was raining and he talked with us for almost 45 minutes in the rain telling us about this castle. We had been traveling on the bus for over an hour and he could've done it then on the bus and we could have stayed warm and dry. The rooms felt to us like we got the left overs. Terrible views. We did joy several of the tours, especially the culinary school. Irish and Scottish night out we're fine also. Several local guide were excellent.
-
-
Nice time in UK and Ireland
-
ServiceWe saw so many things and places. We had excellent food and stayed at many very nice hotels.
-
TourMy one concern is that there were people in the group who were not physically able to keep, the pace. We had to slow down or wait for them on a regular basis. I think the tour should be paced as it is listed in the prospectus. Those who cannot keep up should sit on the bus or wait somewhere for the others.
-

-
Just so so
-
ServiceThe service was just ok. Tour director and bus driver were great. The hotels and food were just so so. Some hotels were not located near anything. The optional tour were not worth the extra money at all. The group was 46 people, which was way to large.
-
TourThe best time was the cooking class in Dublin
-
-
-
ServiceOverall, trip experience was good. Tour covered a lot of territory. There were definitely some areas that need improvement - consistency with quality of hotels, dining experiences below par, comfort stops too long/forced souvenir stops.
-
TourEnjoyed Edinburgh and Lake District.
-
-
good first experience in the UK
-
ServiceOur tour manager and bus driver were excellent. The food provided was average and the hotels were inconsistent. A couple of nights the hotels were very good, a couple of nights the hotel rooms were very small and hot (no AC)(much below expectations, and the rest of the nights the hotel rooms were just adequate and barely adequate. A lot of bus travel as the tour covered a lot of miles. More time should have been spent in Scotland and less in Dublin. Overall the tour was good, mostly because of the tour manager.
-
TourThe best parts was the visit to the sheep farm in Ireland, Edenburg, Scotland, the "cook your own dinner night", several cathedrals and the scenery.
-
-
-
ServiceVery efficient and responsive both on phone and in person. Trip ran very smoothly.
-
TourBeautiful scenery of the countryside, especially in Ireland. Loved the variety of castles and cathedrals and the history associated with both. Enjoyed the cities we visited, both large and small. My favorite experience was exploring the castles. It made history come alive for me.
-
-
Great experience, well planned and organized.
-
ServiceThe entire tour was well managed, the tour guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. Our bus driver was very professional and did an excellent job. Our tour manager *personal details removed by Feefo*, was excellent also and he provided all with a wonderful history lesson and was well organized. We also enjoyed meeting new friends on the bus and along the way. I would highly recommend Collette for future travel.
-
TourEnjoyed them all, Stonhenge and Kilarney stood out. Scottish night out was a bit tacky but Irish night out was great.

Italian tour
-
ServiceOur tour of northern half of Italy was amazing the whole through. Tour guide *personal details removed by Feefo* was terrific, very well prepared, very knowledgeable, always approachable, fun to be with, great personality, and ran a superb group throughout the entire tour. We were a very happy group of 16 might I add. I would highly recommend Collette Tours, but as I haven't done any other tours with Collette, I can only speak very highly of *Personal details removed by Feefo* and how she conducted our tour. It was fun!!
-
TourWe went on a northern Italy tour on 1/4/17 not Britain/Ireland
No harm done. :) We're pleased you had an amazing time on tour. We appreciate you and look forward to traveling with you again soon!

ServiceGreat Service. First experience with touring and first trip to Europe. Tour guide very friendly and knowledgeable. Good, clean hotels. I felt too much time riding in coach. Would have liked to have had more time on stops to explore. However I had a great time and plan on taking another trip soon. Looking at Northern Ireland. Ireland was my favorite part of the trip. TourMy favorite was Ireland. Great food and beautiful people. Good price for touring 4 countries. Great hotels. Tour guide very friendly. Will definitely go again.

ServiceWe had a wonderful tour guide. (personal details removed by Feefo) was very warm and nice and provided a wealth of information about all the places we visited. I would definitely recommend Collette and this particular tour.
-
TourI loved being able to see so many places in one tour. I especially liked London. My walking tour with (personal details removed by Feefo) was wonderful. Since there was only two of us on the walking tour, she let us decide what to see, taking us on the Underground and a double decker bus. She so accommodating.

Always a pleasure traveling with Collette
-
ServiceSuper organized and the flow of the trip was very easy to acclimate with. The hotels were top of the line and there was a good balance between road time travel and comfort stops. The guides are very personable and knowledgeable!
-
TourMy husband was thrilled with the Changing of the Guard in London and I absolutely enjoyed Killarney, Ireland!
-
-
Above Average.
-
ServiceWe missed (personal details removed by Feefo) who was a fantastic tour guide. We were surprised that our tour guide left England before we did. Did not care much for the choice of Optional Tours especially the one in Scotland. More hype than substance.
-
TourI mentioned it above. Make sure hotels have a SAFE in the room.

Excellent service by Collette US
-
ServiceThe trip was well organized and the leader was very good at his job.
-
TourEvery thing was done on time and controlled by the person in charge.
-
-
Tour great. Could of had better guide but at least she was very pleasant.
-
ServiceThe guide did not take charge of situations on bus and kept changing times for everything.
-
TourThe people we meet were wonderful.
-
-
Memorable experience.
-
ServiceWell planned and executed. Only one terrible hotel, in Cardiff. Excellent tour guide and terrific local guides. All included meals except first were very good.
-
TourWe loved Scotland best of all.

-
Tour exceeded my expectations!
-
ServiceThe tour exceeded my expectations. I was very pleased with the itinerary to begin with knowing we would be visiting four countries: England Wales Ireland and Scotland. I thoroughly enjoyed the stops along the way. Our tour guide prepared us for each stop, educating us on the history as well as current information such as population. She was always on top of the weather and made a change in our jaunting ride as the next day called for rain. I would highly recommend Exploring Britain and Ireland to anyone who really wants to see the sites!
-
TourOur tour guide took us to the most reasonably priced stores to purchase our woolens, and informed us where we could get the best prices on our souvenirs. I am very pleased with all of my purchases and have no regrets that I did not purchase something I saw that I wanted.

Great site-seeing tour of England, Ireland and Scotland
-
ServiceThe tour guide and service was great. All the sites were very well timed and our family had a great experience. We had a bad service experience with the Park Plaza Hotel in London and would recommend that another hotel be used. The location of the hotel was great. However the management has totally failed in taking the necessary actions to send lost/found items that they have in their possession. Also would recommend an optional tour to St. Andrews for some of those golfers out there instead of the city tour of Edinburgh.
-
TourExcellent service and excellent tour.

Fun, friendly, informative
-
ServiceHelpful, friendly people in your customer service department. Very informative when I asked questions concerning our tour. First time using Collette and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We felt the hotels chosen were nice, and the included tours were a lot of fun. We had a wonderful tour guide, as well as terrific in country tour guides and bus drivers.
-
TourI believe our walking tour of London with Jan was fantastic! She was informative, excited about the city, and an overall amazing lady. She showed us places and things you just can't see on a bus tour.

Trip of a lifetime.
-
ServiceThis was a great trip, covered a lot of territory and saw some really great things along the way. We really enjoyed experiencing the different cultures. Loved out tour guide. He really made it fun.
-
TourWe really enjoyed our visit to the farm in Kilkenny. Joe and Mae were a most interesting couple and the story behind their farm was impressive. The Border Collie Rye did a great job rounding up the sheep for us to see.

Go With Collette!
-
Much to be desired.
-
ServiceNo comment.
-
TourPickup at the airport was a disaster. Waited an anxious hour & a half before I could find the driver. Stonehenge was disappointing in that you can only see it from a distance behind a fence. Cardiff, Wales walking tour was boring. Did not see Changing of the Guard as advertised, but only part of the troop march to get there. Tour leader walked too fast & refused to slow down. Best part was the Military Tattoo in Edinburg, but this is only presented for 2 weeks in August.

ServiceReally pleased with the home office service. Very responsive, professional, and helpful.
-
TourSo many great moments. The tea house in Ireland with the medieval city ruins (Jerpoint); both the Scottish and Irish Nights Out; thrilled to stop in that town in Wales with the longest name - that was a nice plus that we weren't expecting; jaunting car ride through the park and the Ring of Kerry - outstanding. Really happy with the accommodations as well, esp the Brehon and the Walton Manor house - I wish we had been at the manor house for two nights!

ServiceMy trip documents showed my return trip was to be on business class. The airline said no, only economy was booked. Naturally, we were surprised and disappointed.
-
TourOver 1800 miles on the bus is too much. We stayed in 9 hotels, and only two hotels for two nights. All other hotels were for only one night. I suggest weals need not be in the trip and more time spent in the other countries. The London stay was much too short.

ServiceService was very good and timely
-
TourLoved Jerpoint farms. Rock of Cashal...too much time there....but the day was chilly and windy so it was not enjoyable.

Nice people, but problems with web site & keeping correct information
-
ServiceStaff on the phone was very friendly, however, each time I spoke with them, I had to correct something they had wrong i.e. had my sister in law living with me instead of her husband, ( addresses & passport info was entered & displayed correctly on my page), also our departure city was incorrect. The web site is difficult to use, when payments are made, invoices are sent later in the day, but do not show an amount due. This can and should be done instantly. Insurance purchased does not state that it is only in effect if tickets are bought within the time frame given to Colette.
-
TourGroup is way too big - 42 people, taking the time to load & unload etc lessens the time spent on the activity & increases the amount of time the director has to spend explaining things. Felt that we didn't have enough time at Stone Henge or some other activities due to this. Felt rushed through some of the sites we visited due to time needed to be at the Ferry, or another site. Having said that, the bus driver & tour manager did a great job organizing, including everyone, and providing information about what we were seeing.

A Great Tour with Collette
-
ServiceCollette had a highly professional guide and bus driver with careful planning at every step of the way. And when there was a blip in weather or conditions, they adjusted the tour gracefully and everyone enjoyed the trip.
-
TourHotels vary according to availability in a region, and we received excellent accommodations based on what was in the area. Some hotels had better elevators, room size, and appointments, but nothing was substandard or unpleasant.

This tour is Activity Level 3. You’re an on-the-go traveller. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking four miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.). You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. Expect some longer days with early mornings or late nights balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travellers who require mobility assistance devices.
Travellers arriving in Edinburgh from August 5-27, 2022 will receive tickets to Edinburgh's famous Military Tattoo show. Please inquire at time of reservation.
