Tour Activity Level
The activity level for this tour:
You’re a leisurely traveller. You like to discover the energy of a new place, but typically take it easy. You can handle at least one flight of stairs, board a coach, and walk for 15-30 minutes at a time with little difficulty.
You like a balanced approach to travel. You feel confident walking at least 30-45 minutes at a time over a variety of terrains – from cobblestones streets to easy straightaways to a couple hills or flights of stairs. You’re comfortable walking a few city blocks at a time, but need some time to unwind and relax.
You’re an on-the-go traveller. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (1-2 hours) isn’t a big deal. You can navigate hills and uneven ground, climb into various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.), and could possibly anticipate changes in elevation. You can expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure.
You’re ready to seize the day, whatever it may bring. You lead an active life at home (walking, biking, and hiking are things you may enjoy) and few thousand steps a day isn’t out of the norm. You can handle longer walking tours (more than 90 minutes), traversing dusty or uneven terrain, standing for periods of time, varying altitudes and temperatures, and don’t mind being on the go with some early starts, late-night experiences, and full days. Unfortunately, this level is not appropriate for individuals who use wheelchairs or walkers.

TourIt was very unorganized. Timings for our tours were wrong when we arrived at venues at which we were scheduled. Not enough time in Memphis or Nashville, especially on our own. The Sheraton in New Orleans was disappointing. Our tour manager was unorganized and late most days. Just disappointed all around.

TourWorst your manager I ever had. Disorganized, held initial meeting day 2 just didn’t have things right, no commentary on long drives, spoke to us like we were 5 year olds, no group pix at end or email list….I can go on and on…more interested in her wine than the customer, unprepared overs.

TourMost arrangements were done well or as expected but some were really poorly done. The transportation to and from the airport was not handled well; first, it was not offered to me until I discovered that other on the trip were being given the service and asked about it; secondly, the limo service was given an incomplete address to our home, and thirdly I never was notified that Collette had arranged for a return limo service on our return from the trip so we had to arrange for and pay for our own trip home. The goodbye meal was really poor with very bad service. The hotels were great and most experiences on tour were very good. We had an excellent tour guide. Because we had very little time to spend in our hotel in Nashville (the hotel was very beautiful), it would have been nice to be put in a hotel in the city itself.

Tourit is the air schedule that was sorely in need of change - On our return we needed to get up at 2:30 AM to make our flight. What type of vacation is this for people 75 and older especially since we just had two days in Nashville so how could we enjoy night number 2 if we had to get up at this hour.

TourI already submitted a review within a few weeks of returning from the tour. I gave a complete breakdown of what happened and how disappointed we were with our tour manager and the complications that travelers are now facing in an understaffed post covid travel industry. Collette's only response was to send out another review? Thanks so much for your concern. I'm not looking for any type of compensation but it would be nice to know that someone in the company actually reads the reviews and addresses the problems.

TourGaylord Opryland Resort resort was disappointing and a taxi ride away from Nashville. The optional tours included unnecessary and very mediocre meals. Included dinners were standard "on any tour" meals. Court of Three Sisters "Collette Group Menu" also very disappointing, especially as they had a very extensive and local to New Orleans a la carte menu.

ServiceThe drivers that took us to and from Logan airport were fantastic. The tour manager was very knowledgeable and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the tour. The baggage was always delivered to the room and picked up promptly.
-
TourI saw a lot and learned a lot of new information about the places we visited.
-
-
-
ServiceWe thoroughly enjoyed most of our trip. There were some technical issues at the beginning when we got booted from the Sheraton, but the Omni Royal was nice. Since we came two days early to explore New Orleans, it meant that we lost a day changing hotels. As another issue, we never received a pre-tour packet from Collette. it may have been sent to the neighborhood community center where we originally got the brochure, but we had none of the basic info, vouchers, name tags et cetera the other travelers had.
-
TourMost of teh tours were good to great. Unfortunately, our first walking tour was disorganized and poorly prepared. Folks who took the competing bus tour described a much better experience.
-
-
great way to resume traveling, guided tour, did not have to do much researc

Good Trip
-
ServiceHotels were excellent as were all the meals included at various restaurants. Daily tours & activities were good & gave us a good overall flavor of each city in a short time. Tour guide Elizabeth was excellent. She allowed for flexibility during tours & made sure we were always safe. Only negative for our group of 14 were 6:30 am outbound & return flights. We had to get up at 2 am to make shuttle to airport for checkin & 3 am for return flight. Since there were no activities planned for either day, flights could have been later. Also had to pay $40 luggage fees on both flights. Collette should have paid for luggage fees. But overall it was a good trip & I'm glad I went.
-
TourLoved New Orleans city bus tour. Got to see the famous above ground cemeteries. Also loved jazz music trip to Bourbon Street. Loved being able to visit Graceland in Memphis & amount of time allowed. Also loved visit to Grand Ole Opry. Lots of music in every city made this a fun tour.
-
-
Collette tours are the best. Just go do it!
-
ServiceThis trip was so well organized. The tour director was the best. Elizabeth made it so interesting and fun. Alvin, the bus driver, was very professional and got us to all our places on time.
-
TourLoved the itinerary, lots of great venues to visit.

-
ServiceBoth the tour director Elizabeth Williams and Alvin the bus driver went out of their way to accommodate everyone on the trip. Some had difficulty walking, others needed extra attention. They were both so professional and gracious.
-
TourElizabeth Williams the tour manager and Alvin the bus driver went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. I appreciated the restaurant tips for non covered meals and the great directions for negotiating the city streets. They were always on time and seemed happy to see us and enjoy the trip with us.

ServiceBeautiful hotels, terrific tour guide, wonderful driver, fun experiences. Bethany was a terrific guide...warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She made sure all of us were where we needed to be, accommodating the few who needed extra attention. So many people, so many "personalities"...all treated with respect and understanding. Our driver, Alvin was the best! By the end of the tour we felt as if we gained a new family member! He was a wonderful driver, handling the city traffic with the same ease he drove the interstates. The background information he shared about each city was on point. Our local guides were also very good.
-
TourNOLA! Bourbon Street, the cemetery tour, a riverboat cruise, getting to hold a baby alligator! All exciting and first time experiences! Memphis' Graceland was a step back in time. Elvis' home was pretty much as I expected it to be. Hardly extravagant by today's standards, it was a place he loved and felt save. It was both a little sad, and enlightening. I felt Beale Street was a little seedy, but that's just me. The tour of Sun City Studio was so interesting. Our on-board singer as we traveled to various city sites was so good. It was great fun singing along with her. Nashville was the most fun! Every bar was a venue for country music groups. Loved the Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole' Opry. Making a recording at Studio B was great fun! The guide filled us in on all the famous people, besides Elvis, who recorded there. She reminded us to stand on the blue X where he stood, but discouraged kissing it! Bethany emailed us a link to hear ourselves singing. Such a thoughtful gesture on her part!

TourThis tour was A1. From start to finish we had a fantastic time. Our time in New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville was great. We enjoyed The Grand Old Opry which was amazing, a swamp cruise, a visit to Mardi Gras World, Graceland and much much more. Our hotels were well picked and very comfortable. The included meals were excellent. Our tour manager Elizabeth was awesome, she had everything arranged efficiently and looked after us very well. We enjoyed every minute and laughed and sang all week. Our group were from all over and we all got on so well. We have come home with some very special memories made better by Elizabeth’s excellent tour and Alvin’s great driving. Thank you so so much.

ServiceCollette did a great job and I would definitely tour with them again. We had an AWESOME tour director, Elizabeth Williams, who went above and beyond her duties in making it so worthwhile. She was so good I would seek her out for another tour elsewhere!
-
TourI loved Graceland and the amount of time allocated for such an awesome place. My second favorite was the Grand Ole Opry radio show.
-
-
The transportation was safe and efficient. The airport tranfers were good.
-
ServiceSee below.
-
TourThe 3 cities were great. Nashville was my favorite, but all cities were fun." The lunch stop was OK but not great (Picadelly) All things about Elvis were great. The Gaylord was enormous and had a "learning curve" to navigation.

Great Tour and the Best Tour Guide
-
ServiceGreat tour packed with all kinds of memorable, varied activities. The hotels we stayed at were top-of-the-line. Mostly, our tour guide, Stacey, was the best tour guide i have had on toured trips. She did her research and was extremely knowledgeable and very well organized. She went above and beyond to make sure that each one of us understood the planned events for the day and the details. She did not mind repeating herself and made us feel we were in good hands.
-
TourToo many to list....every day was memorable!
-
-
Excellent
-
ServiceElizabeth Williams was the most educated and organized tour guide for our group of 43 seniors on this 3-city tour. She made sure for us who did not arrive until quite late on 5/5 that we had the itinerary for an early morning departure. She was always available for questions and very pleasant each and every day. The tour bus driver, Kathy, was the BEST. Accommodations were excellent and the options were worth the extra money. Staying at the New Orleans Sheraton was good for walking and transportation. This was my first Collette trip and I would not hesitate to travel again.
-
TourThe swamp boat ride with the alligators was exciting along with the tour of New Orleans. The meals were very good and the paddle boat ride enjoyable. Graceland should be seen by all. Nashville is a fun city, restaurants galore, and music history museums everyone should visit. I will visit Nashville again.
-
-
-
ServiceElizabeth was the absolute best tour manager ever. I have been on many Collette tours and Elizabeth was head and shoulders above any other tour manager. I would sign up for any tour Elizabeth would be managing.
-
TourI enjoyed every city and every tour. I’m thinking of taking the New Orleans spotlight tour if Elizabeth is the manager
-
-
Wonderful holiday, friendly, competent travel guide with great sense of hum
-
ServiceI booked my holiday through Trailfinders, but Collette were helpful when I had a query, offering useful advice. I wish I’d booked the holiday directly with Collette.
-
TourSheraton Hotel in New Orleans need more efficient staff. When I arrived, tired from long journey, it took Staff nearly two hours to sort out my room. I had added three nights before the tour and had been assured that I would be given the same room throughout my stay. I was given a low floor room facing ugly buildings. I Mississippi view would have been nice. I don’t eat breakfast and was prevented from making a bacon sandwich to take out. It was difficult to obtain tea for use in the room. The shower was not suitable for an amputee, although I had explained my requirements. I had paid for a room wit a VIP ticket to the JazzFest, but no record of this was available to front of house staff. Eventually, the events manager organised a regular entry ticket. I spent many hours negotiating room for 3 extra nights, tea, shower, and JazzFest ticket, which spoiled my experience of staying at the Sheraton. I heard other tour guests complain about incompetent hotel staff. Another complaint about early breakfast was thr staff were slow allocating seating and waiting for drinks and gluten free bread/toast. The lack of any tomatoes or mushrooms. I am not a vegetarian, but omelette, fried/scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon are a bit heavy on their own before 7.30am. Perhaps tour days start to early for this hotel to cope with early breakfasts! I will not use Sheraton Hotels again. I am happy for you to pass my complaints onto Sheraton.

-
ServicePresumably ok but Collette tour booked through trailfinders admin was fine
-

Servicejazz festival was non existant for us. bus dropped us at race tract,(that's one mile of area) map was of little use, it was hot. 85 pl We wandered around, bought a lemonade and left. I wanted to see bonnie Ratti. People had blankets and lawn chairs they brought out in the sun. We didn't think it was worth sitting out in noon day sun for where ever our group was playing. That was for 2 of our 3 days in New Orleans, then collette had to sell us a tour for $85 each, dinner and sun city tour. Yes, very nice....thought we had already paid for the tour ??? Nothing was planned for us for those 5 hours if we chose not to go. Now we have 3 days of zero so we paid to go. They tried to charge extra for promised round trip shuttle service to airport AFTER we had paid for it. Our guide Kim was wonderful but must not have known how the jazz fest was going to be to warn us or get us where we wanted to go, our bus and driver was top of the line. Rooms were the best. I used to be in this business and I know their are lots of things that can make a problem but for the $$$ charged it was bad news.

Toursun studio tour (should have been inc.) enjoyed it a lot. breakfast buffet's were very good. Bell Meade Plantation and lunch was very nice. Elvis tour of mansion and history was good. Historian on the cemetery and old sections of New orleans was excellent. Dinner walk to cooking class was interesting and good food.. Swamp tour was interesting , Opry Land hotel is totally amazing , I took a tour there before it was flooded out a zillion yrs ago and couldn't believe 20 acres under glass. For the price we could have taken much better tours with other co. and even yours. Still waiting for pictures taken and supposed to be emailed to us. WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONE'S WHO WALKED OUT ON THE JAZZ FESTIVAL IN new orleans we know of at least 2 more couples that left the almost 90' noon day heat that didn't want to wander to find where they wanted to go and IF it had a tent and fans. what a fiasco of being ill planned and no one there to direct us.

ServiceCould not arrange our pre -hotel stay, I had to do it myself in the same hotel. Would not arrange the hotel pick up form the airport because we arrived a day early, even though the hotel had a regular shuttle service, I arranged this myself at the hotel's desk on arrrival at the airport. Could not confirm the hotel room would remain without change for both the pre-stay and post-stay arrangements, I had to arrange this myself (with the assistance of the tour guide post-stay)

TourThe step on tour guide in Memphis was excellent singing as she went around the city. Graceland was surprisingly good, but we had low expectations to start with.

ServiceExcellent from the minute we joined the tour Tour manager and bus driver took excellent care of us and felt like part of a big family until = As we decided to stay a few extra days in Nashville the accommodation that we were allocated we were not impressed with Inn at Opryland was dirty, gaps in door, and we felt very unsafe with location We complained twice but felt that staff didn’t care my wife then complained and we were moved to another room which was a touch better We decided that it wasn’t going to spoil our last few days and made sure that we enjoyed our time I would say star rating for Inn at Opryland would be 1

ServiceThe hotel in New Orleans was situated in the center making easy access to activities within walking distance. In Memphis the Graceland Hotel was out of the way and the dining room was freezing by the time we were scheduled for dinner that would be 7PM. Gaylord Opryland Resort was so big it was easy to get lost which we did. But all in all accommodations were above anything we expected.

ServiceThe tour guide was very good. The places and activities were very good. I certainly would recommend this tour. The only thing negative was that the head sets for the walking tour in New Orleans did not work very well. Many people had trouble hearing the guide if they were not really close to him.

ServiceI love planning trips with Collette. They have great customer service, always helping their travelers along the way. I wish they would have a group specifically designed for the younger traveler. The interests of a 25 year old are very different than the interest of a 65 year old. Younger people do have money to travel but you need to appeal to them.

I loved going on the Music Cities Tour !
-
ServiceI loved the Music Cities Tour I just completed. We went to so many great places and saw wonderful events and shows. Our Tour Guide Wesley Glass was the Best! He was very organized, very positive and happy, and could make adjustments easily if needed in the tour or if someone in our group that needed extra help with something, like lost shuttle bus passes, or the hotel not collecting our luggage until the last moment before we leave to the airport in Nashville. He was very well informed of the local history and gave us some interesting facts of each area or city we attended, and that made the trip more personal for each of us. I would be happy to have him again as our tour guide. Thank You! Jana Hunking - Lompoc, Ca P.S. I tried to add photos here, but it would not take them!
-
TourI really was surprised and happy to go to the RCA Studio B in Nashville and learn the history of the famous recording studio. Then they let us record our group singing an Elvis tune, and just 10 minutes later they handed each of us the CD of our recording that they had just produced. How cool was that ?? We were all thrilled, and later referred to ourselves as "recorded artists!"
-
-
Great!!

ServiceYes on both questions. Well planned itinerary, so much fun and information. Both tour guide Wesley and bus driver Alvin were very professional fun and polite. We felt well cared for. I felt the tour was jammed packed!

ServiceService was OK. Surprise charge and attitude at the Memphis hotel. In Nashville the hotel was way to far from town. A $20 cab ride one way was to costly. To much waste time on the last day. The flight left late so we just sat around and wasted an entire day.

ServiceI didn’t think your trip was worth the expense. We were left with picking out and paying for almost every meal except breakfast. The meals that were included for dinner in all places wasn’t worth it.

ServiceGreat service as everything was taken care of. Well organized was our four Collette trip. We plan one to two trips with Collette a year. One thing I was unhappy with was the Swamp tour. It was raining, windy and the seats on the boat were wet. One squeegee on the boat and there were 44 of us. So needless to say we had to wait our turn. There should have been towels for us to wipe the seat down when they knew they were wet. In my opinion, the tour should have been canceled and substituted for another attraction. Everyone was wet and freezing. My shoes and paints were soaked. Did not enjoy swamp tour at all and did not see one alligator!!!!!!
-
TourGreat tour and got to go to recording studio and record our own Cd. That was the highlight of the tour.
-
-
I have spoken to someone. Do not like the reply.
-
ServiceThe person who was our guide was not a good guide. Had no patience with older customers on the tour and decided to humiliate you if front of a whole group of people sitting around you in the Grand Old Opry and treating you like a 2 year old. *** Hahn Surrey BC

ServiceEverything was great and we got to experience Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans in one trip. Hotels were great, excursions were fun and very different, from the Grand Old Opry to Streamboat ride down the Mississippi, Swamp tour with alligators, Christmas show with Trace Atkins, tour of Graceland, Enjoyed all the country music on Broadway in Nashville and jazz on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. We recorded “jingle bells” in the RCA studio B and listened to our recording on the bus riding down the road. Country Music Hall of Fame was fun, a lot memorabilia. Tours of the 3 cities was interesting. Tour manager Sam was great as well as our driver Angela. Everything was well planned and we got to see many things and experience many things. We had lots of FUN!

-
TourEverything! It is a vacation we would do again and again!
-
-
Informative good time trip with very good director. Except for the concern
-
ServiceMy major concern, and the reason I did not give them 5 stars is that when we landed in New Orleans, the transfer service from the airport to the Sheraton New Orleans hotel was not up to the normal Collette standards. It took 90 minutes for us to make what was supposed to be a 30 minute trip. I was very disappointed. With the cost of the tour I would have thought they would supply a more professional transfers service. You could have probably given me a vouchers for a cab service. Would have probably only cost about $30. Poor decision on Collette for keeping a frequent customer happy. I would like to get a response from Collette about this.

ServiceIt was a great tour with wonderful sights. The swamp tour was fun, especially when we could hold the small alligator and watch them feed the larger alligators marshmallows on a stick. I liked that we could take the shuttle to the jazz festival on our own schedule from the hotel. If you wanted to spend more or less time at the festival it was very convenient. We spent a lot of time at the festival but others on the tour did not. It worked well for everyone and no one was disappointed or frustrated that they couldn't do what they wanted. The only bad part in New Orleans was the walking tour of the French Quarter. The guide was very unpleasant. She thought she knew everything and argued with my husband over a statue that he had questioned her about. She really didn't know the answer but turned out what she had said was incorrect. She also put down the other lady on the tour for not listening when she didn't understand American History because she was from Australia. The bus tour sounded better and I wish we had taken it. We were given coupons for beignets and a drink at Café du Monde that I thought we were going to use while on the walking tour but it turned out we didn't have time and had to use them another time. The tour was so packed that it was hard to find time. We finally used them at night after the final jazz festival day. We really enjoyed the New Orleans Cooking School and came home with a few great recipes. The stop at the Picadilly Cafeteria in Jackson, MS brought back memories from when I was a kid visiting my grandparents in Florida and we would eat their often. The Guest House at Graceland was a very nice hotel. We could have used another day at Graceland with all the new exhibits. We only had time to do the Mansion but I would have loved to see more. I guess we could have spent more time there but we opted for the optional tour that was also very good. The tour guide at Sun Studios was excellent and he and another guide even performed for us. The dinner at the hotel was OK but really enjoyed the dinner on the optional tour. The stop at the Belle Meade Plantation was very nice and the lunch they prepared for us was excellent. It really made us feel special the way they treated us. Loved the Opryland Hotel. It was beautiful and I was so glad I took a late flight home on the last day so we could spend the day exploring the hotel. I'm not a big fan of country music but enjoyed the RCA Studio B tour where we recorded a CD. We enjoyed the dinner at the Opryland Grill and the musical entertainers and waiters. We had great seats at the Ryman Auditorium for the country classics show but it was disappointing that we never got to see the new Oprlyand Theater that I had asked about before booking the tour and was told we would see it. The tour was jam packed with music and the tour guide suggested locations to hear even more music when we had free time. Our guide enjoyed all types of music and even played "Happy Birthday" on her traveling violin for my husband's birthday on the bus. The coach driver was very nice and competent.

Tourthe music was great, however getting to the venue was complicated by the set up.. there was no area for bus drop off close to the entrance. This wasted significant time to be at the festival.
-
-
Interesting well planned tour.
-
ServiceThey were very efficient and the trip was well planned out and interesting Also the staff was friendly and had answers to our questions.

TourI thought what we received was good value with the exception on one dinner.

-
ServiceYes, I would buy them again. But the groups are getting too big. They seem to incorporate other traveling groups and they do not mingle. They stick by them selves for the most part. One thing we did not like, the group leader would change how things are planned, making some days overly filled with activities to do and then some days with very little.
-
TourIf you love music, this is highly recommended. but there is too much time in New Orleans and perhaps you should add another day in Memphis and another day in Nashville. Many museums and places to see in those two cities. Noot so much in New Orleans.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to America's music cities. All feedback is influential in addition to being an important means through which we work to improve our product, service and customer satisfaction. We are grateful for your business and hope to see you again on another Collette tour.

Great holiday shame about the tour manager.
-
ServiceOut travel arrangements were not very good. We were to have a 7 hour stop over at Newark airport, this turned into a 10 hour stop over. The airline had put on another plane to take those of us who were waiting to New Orleans, by the time we arrived at our hotel my husband and I had been travelling for 26 1/2 hours. We were absolutely exhausted. Then we had a few hours sleep before we had to go for breakfast before the tour managers meeting. At the end of the meeting she made no attempt to try and find who we were and ask if we were alright. My husband and I went and introduced ourselves and explained how awful our journey had been, it was obvious that she had no interest in what had happened. Also when we arrived at New Orleans airport, we were waiting at the carousel for our luggage, which did not arrive. I was about to go and look for someone to say that our luggage had not arrived. However, as I turned round to check that there was no one about I noticed some luggage that had been put to one side. This indicates that our luggage was put on a different flight. There was no one around that we could speak to about it. We were so tired and angry we just wanted to get to the hotel for some rest. Although my husband and I enjoyed the tour we felt it could have been better if had been a few days longer. An extra day in Memphis and Nashville. I know that involves costs but would have been worth it. The downside for us was the tour manager, she was too full of her own importance and she had her favourites. On our first night in New Orleans when we went to dinner, my husband and I were on our own she made no attempt to find us seats with others in the group. Quite a few of the other tour members came up and said that they were sorry that they didn't realise that we were sitting on our own some said that there had been room at their tables. Samantha made no attempt to look. Samantha also did not do her homework regarding public transport in Memphis and Nashville. My husband and I were walking around the hotel in Nashville just to get our bearings and I found a leaflet at the registration in the Cascades lobby. It is a Resort Guide covering the dates from March 16 - 23. It gives information about the shuttle services to the shopping mall to and from downtown and the airport. Surely we should have been given one of those on arrival. I know these comments are very negative but this was due to Samantha. My husband and I were not the only ones not happy with her there were a quite a few others. I have to say that Alvin the driver was absolutely wonderful. I have arthritis in my knees and good and he could not have been more helpful at getting me on and off the bus. He is definitely an asset to the company.
-

ServiceThe itinerary was excellent. We were busy with interesting and exciting excursions and activities much of the time, yet we also had a bit of down time to digest the experiences. Our tour manager, Molly Cashen, was absolutely the best. She was a friendly, knowledgeable, considerate, and energetic leader of our group of 40 wonderful folks. My wife and I wouldn't hesitate to take other Collette tours in the future.
-
TourThe tour was jammed packed with wonderful stops, museums, recording studios, city environs and culture. We also walked away with a fine appreciation of the birth and development of the three major musical genres: the Blues, Jazz, and Country.

Great experience- had a good time, but to much in 8 days
-
ServiceOverall the experience was positive, but it was a rocky start. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no information regarding a Collette tour. There was no meet and greet on Sat. My companion called Providence to see what was going on. There should have been some info upon arrival. It is my first tour that there was not some kind of greeting on the day of arrival..
-
TourA lot was covered in 8 days. I think it would have been better to do 10days or skip New Orleans. It was an 8 hour ride from N.O. to Memphis. I do enjoy the trip and Molly worked hard to provide information.
-
-
-
ServiceThey shared great information about the cities, obtained tickets for us, (ie. Grand old oprey), so we did not have to wait on lines) and were always available to help.
-
TourWe thoroughly enjoyed being exposed to good music, appreciated the historical value of each, participated in all. Gained appreciation for beautiful city of Nashville.
-
-
Great experience - no hassle
-
ServiceKim was very attentive, informative and amusing. All the arrangements worked perfectly despite a few hiccoughs which were outside her control. All handled extremely well
-
TourIt achieved everything it set out to do. The locations and visits were excellent with the exception of Graceland where there were enormous queues, little ongoing status information and nothing to keep us entertained while waiting for the shuttle bus. Not Collette's fault but some participants may have preferred to see more music in Memphis instead. The tour was full of interest, great hotels and a great deal achieved in a week. Favourite memorable experience was Nashville, where the group recorded an Elvis song, and the honkytonk venues. I would love to return there one day

ServiceOur guide Molly was terrific! Very helpful and always available. Activities in Memphis and Nashville were well paced and there was plenty to see and do. New Orleans could have used more activities. A little more time in Nashville would have been nice. Not enough time to do Music Hall of fame and explore the hunky Toni's downtown
-
TourThe chosen activities were all excellent! We did all of the important things; more optional activites in New Orleans would have been beneficial. Also, a welcoming drink, dinner or meeting would have been helpful. It would have also helped to orient people. We didn't get together until it was time for a tour.

Unfortunately not a good review so very disappointed
-
ServiceBeen on many collette tours and this was the worst. Enjoyed most other tours but this one was boring and no thought put into tours. Did you consider the age of people who usually take these tours. I could not believe an all day bus ride it was absolutely ridiculous and if I wanted to go to wal-mart I could have stayed home. New Orleans was horrible we had so much free time it was a waste of money and would not recommend this tour - Memphis wasn't much better however enjoyed Nashville although insulted with the seats you provided us for grand ole opry felt greatly insulted . This was not a cheap tour and was so very disappointed. We have done the California coast tour, the Grand Canyon tour, the southern charm tour and those are just a few and they were AWESOME but would not recommend this tour at all. Both Sheraton hotels were aweful I can't believe I am saying this about a COLLETTE TOUR. The food provided was alright not great. I was so very disappointed. I did hear that you changed some of the tour by eliminating some things so disappointed. I still can't believe we were on a bus for 7 hours going from one city to another (paid 3000.00) to sit on a bus for 7 hours and this was not explained in your brochure

ServiceA well organised trip. Places visited were well chosen and interesting.
-
TourThe visits to the RCA and Sun studios were the highlights for me. The BBQ meal in Memphis was not that good, I thought the venue was below par.
-
-
Wonderful and fun trip!
-
ServiceWell organized and tours were run well. Tour guide *Personal Details removed by Feefo* was attentive and did a great job. We were surprised that the tour did not follow the itinerary shown in Collette's guide book. Day 6 for example, indicated a tour of the Belle Meade Plantation, culinary and wine tasting experience and a tour of a historic distillery. These things did not occur on out trip.
-
TourLoved the Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Land hotel.

-
A very memorable holiday. Would strongly recommend.
-
ServiceThe music cities tour was so successful mainly due to the excellent guide, (personal details removed by Feefo) who clearly has a passion for music. Before we arrived at every destination (personal details removed by Feefo) gave us a very comprehensive history of th music. The venues we visited were so interesting. The hotels were very good with a high standard of catering. Dinners at local restaurants were excellent. The journeys by coach were very comfortable and very well driven. The Collette booklet 'Holiday Documents' was excellent - concise and informative.
-
TourI enjoyed every destination. Each one was different. As a music lover it was perfect. We were lucky with the group too, we all got on so well. It was a lot of fun. Thank you for th memories.

ServiceThe amount of walking in New Orleans was underrated in your catalogue. I would not have chosen this tour if it was rated a 3 instead of a 2. This was not a really knowledgeable tour guide. She seemed to know most of the nightclubs and very little about music in these towns in comparison. It was called a music tour. In here defense she was always on time, seemed genuinely helpful and caring. I am sure she will become a better guide with more experience.

ServiceI would and have recommended them. The trip and tours were well organized. Our tour guide and bus driver were very friendly and helpful.
-
TourThe tour was very well planned. There were many memorable experiences. I especially enjoyed the location of the Bourbon Orleans Hotel and the beautiful Gaylord settings. The Studio B tour and the Grand Ole Opry were great.

A diverse and well organized trip to some fun music cities.
-
ServiceTour director(personal details removed by Feefo) was excellent...she was humorous and well organized. All aspects of the trip operated smoothly. Bus driver(personal details removed by Feefo) was also excellent. Great personality and very good at driving us to our destinations.
-
TourGreat combination of fun cities, good food, history and great music. Favorite moment...Graceland and the recording studios that Elvis made most of his music.
-
-
Great tour if you love country music and southern hospitality.
-
ServiceThe tour on a whole was very good. Our director was spectacular - patient and very personable and willing to help in every way possible. The bus was new and was very comfortable and our driver was perfection - safe, kind and caring. the hotels were very nice and very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was plentiful and made to order if you wished. The places we visited were great but the steamboat ride was a little disappointing because the Mississippi River side is so industrial and not very attractive to see. I would have preferred to stay only two days in New Orleans and three days in Nashville since there is so much more to see and that is of interest. The only two restaurants that were not good was the New Orleans Cookery and the Central Barbecue place near Dr. King's assassination. All of the other places were delicious. I would recommend this Music City Tour to friends. Loved RCA studio, Elvis Mansion and the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Museum. Also enjoyed BB King's club for blues & dancing. The gentlemen that taught us New Orleans cooking talked too much and we didn't get to eat until 9 PM. We were all hungry.
-
TourOverall the tour, the hotels and most of the places of interest in the music cities were great.

-
Magnificent.
-
ServiceThis has been the most delightful experience. Our tour guide Derek was absolutely brilliant. He went the extra mile for everyone. The tour was so well organised and the tourist attractions were magnificent. I would have no problem recommending Collette to other travellers. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and I was never disappointed with anything. Thank you for my most memorable trip. Ten times better than I had anticipated. 10 out of 10 on all counts. Thank you. Elizabeth Reid.

ServiceFrom the beginning, they make it easy. The people who answer phone, very helpful. The tour guides are well informed and personable. The trips planned well.
-
TourIt had everything I wanted to see. too much walking for my husband I think should have been a 3. I don't think you should have to choose a walking tour or a bus tour at time of signing up. Best to have the tour manager tell you what is involved. I called and spoke to agents but they weren't positive about either. All but 2 took the bus tour and you saw much more than you would when you walk. We would not have seen Esplanade Ave, the cemeteries and more if we walked. I believe the walk was just the French Quarter and a little more. Loved the bus tour!

Looking forward th taking another tour with him!

ServiceIncredible experience. Tour guide ************* III totally made the experience. You have a keeper with his wealth of knowledge.

This tour needs some work.

ServiceI have taken 5 tours in the last few years and this one was just okay. It is billed as a music tour but there was no music in NO unless you bought the extra jazz afternoon or searched it out yourself. The dinner on Sept. 13th should have been someplace with live music and better food. Hotels were lovely but the one ulin Memphis needs to be closer to the action. The Opry Hotel was beautiful but far away from the downtown area. The cooking school dinner was excellent as well as the Grand Old Opry.. More time was needed for the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tour of RCA Studio B was excellent. The included dinners were just okay. I am not sure that they were worth the extra cost of a Collette Tour. Usually we would have a really fancy meal in our last hotel. Not another BBQ. The last dinner was okay but we were rushed through and didn't have enough time to really enjoy the music. We could have stayed but would be responsible for our own way back to the Hotel. This wouldn't be a problem if we were more centrally located. I was very surprised that there was not a meet and greet the night before in a room in the hotel. It would have made for a less chaotic Monday morning especially since there was the option of two different activities. Also having to pay for a bottle of water was not acceptable. Free cold water should have been offered at each stop. I have traveled with full coaches and keeping water in a cooler in the baggage compartment has never been an issue. Our tour guide was most helpful and always courteous.

ServiceTrip was well organized, we were kept busy. The quality of the tours excellent, nicest group of people I've traveled with in a long time. It was nice to see the Peabody Hotel but waiting for those ducks was a complete waste of time. New Orleans was great, I would do that again

Servicelots of insight info on each of the places visited, stories that we never knew. The driver , Andréa was outstanding. However the 2 dinners in New Orleans at the cooking class and Creole cookery were not the best choices for that kind of crusine in our opinion Peacock hotel duck was a lot of fun to see
-
TourRCA studio B, Graceland, fritzels great musicians Pirates Bar next door Hotel locations were great 3 sisters excellent In our opinion the choices for restaurant's in the Gaylord resort lacked choices other then fast food type dinners Only one really expensive restaurant had any decent food.

Colette not up to their usual standard.
-
ServiceThis Collette tour wasn't up to the standard we have come to know based on previous tours which have been exceptional. Our tour manager seemed to spend more time chatting to our driver than to us. He wasn't very helpful or informative at all.
-
TourThe tour overall was only average, just! Most memorable for me was our visit to The Grand Ole Opry plus the friendliness of the other passengers on the coach. Should have been Graceland but not enough time allowed to have a proper look round.
-
-
Colette this tour was not up to your usual standard.
-
ServiceA complete and utter shambles. Completely dis-organised. Day one had to walk in the pouring rain to have a meal ( the meal at The Court of Two Sisters was not to a good standard the three man band played three tunes and that was it ). None of the inclusive meals were to a good standard. My high light of the vacation was to be Gracelands ( one hour to tour Gracelands not enough time ) the Collette rep ************* was not to a good standard and he ruined my vacation. So therefore to sum up my vacation disappointing and a waste of money.
-
TourAll inclusive meals and hotels not to a Collette standard. Memorable experience: When it was over.

ServiceThe trip and Tour Manager was amazing, I loved every minute of it. The choice of hotels and locations were very well though out and the tour Manager went beyond the call of duty.

TourVisiting the clubs in Bourbon Street New Orleans, and the visit to the Grand Ole Opry

The tour got better as we went. Nashville was a great way to end, especially at the Gaylord Opreyland facility.
-
ServiceI would rather pay up front than to have to tip so many times. I also would have liked a get together on the first night so that we could get to know other tourist. The way it was the tour was almost over before we could make the rounds to meet everyone. Our tour guide did a great job with what she was asked to do, but would have enjoyed a beginning and ending evening get together.

ServiceThe tour guide was very friendly and on top of everything. All the venues were good and we had a friendly group of persons on the tour. I would definitely recommend Collette to others and plan on going on another tour next year.

ServiceMy tour guide made this trip an especially good one. He was always helpful, looked out for everyone's interest and was fun to be with too..
-
TourI loved the majority of this trip...I had already been to New Orleans and would have preferred the bus tour to the walking tour in the French This was a great tour for me, since I love music...given the mobility and age of the group, it would have been better to do a morning sight-seeing tour of New Orleans by bus as opposed to the walking tour of the French Quarter,,which really could be done on your own since our hotel was basically in the French Quarter, I personally would have preferred this because I wanted to get a feel of other parts of the city ie the Garden District, Treme etc. Other than that it was a great tour for me... I cant say the same for others as they only seemed to be interested in Graceland ,, Also, some of the restaurants were better than others, especially in New Orleans... I would have preferred a different restaurant in Memphis...All in all, it was a comprehensive tour with a wonderful and accommodating tour guide...Derek was just the best....
-
-
Good trip but organization and literature could of been more accurate.
-
ServiceOur latest trip on the Music tour of NOLA, Memphis and Nashville was good but not well organized. The intro package said one thing, the notice we got at the hotel said another and we were on our own too much. At first we thought we were at the wrong hotel since the literature said to meet at a different place, a second Sheraton. You should drop the Sheraton on Canal in New Orleans due to poor service. Two of our 4 day stay did not even make up the room until after 6pm. Had a good time though.
-
TourSee above. The Sheraton on Canal in New Orleans was poor with our rooms not cleaned until after 6 pm. Please drop this hotel.

-
ServiceGreat, enjoyable. Great tour manager bus driver .
-
TourGaylord Opryland hotel was spectacular. After that nothing quite was the same. The other hotels were good, but not spectacular like tapas hotel. There were so many experiences.....the grand ole Opry,Graceland and the French quarter were fabulous.
