New York City is a place of icons, from towering skyscrapers and world-famous cities to neighborhoods pulsing with energy. But beyond the postcard views and bright lights, there’s a deeper rhythm to the city, where you’ll find history, culture, and everyday life.

That’s what you’ll experience — along with some of those icons — on our new tour, Spotlight on New York City: Beyond the Bridges. With six nights in the heart of Midtown, this stay lets you dive into Manhattan and Brooklyn like a true New Yorker.

Let’s take a look.

Manhattan: The Heart of the Big Apple

Your home base is right in the centre of it all — stay in Manhattan, just a short walk from Central Park and Times Square. It’s the ideal gateway to the city’s energy and popular sights, especially during built-in free time.

A locally guided tour at the beginning of your stay will bring the area to life, as you explore Greenwich Village, the Wall Street district, Chinatown, and Central Park, and catch a glimpse of the Empire State Building.

And what’s a trip to NYC without Broadway? Throughout the tour, you’ll take your seat for three shows, each one a chance to experience the magic of live theatre in the world’s most famous theatre district.

Lady Liberty & Ellis Island

Statue of Liberty

Board a ferry and cruise across New York Harbour to meet the Statue of Liberty up close. Then step into the past at Ellis Island, where millions of immigrants once began their American journey. A self-guided tour of the museum will bring you the personal stories found in those millions.

9/11 Memorial and Museum: A Moment of Reflection

9/11 Memorial Museum, NYC

In Lower Manhattan, you’ll visit the deeply moving 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The reflecting pools mark the footprints of the Twin Towers, surrounded by the names of those lost (these names also include the six individuals lost in the 1993 World Trade Centre bombing). Inside the museum, powerful exhibits trace the events of September 11, 2001, and the stories of courage, loss, and resilience that followed. It’s a moment to pause and reflect on this chapter, and honour the lives lost.

Brooklyn: Across the Bridge and Into the Boroughs

Brooklyn Bridge, New York City

Leave Manhattan behind to experience more of NYC. Make your way across the Brooklyn Bridge, which stretches just over a mile long and offers sweeping views of the skyline and harbour. On the other side, get a fizzy taste of local city culture at the Brooklyn Seltzer Musum, where you’ll learn about the legendary “seltzer men” who still deliver bottles across the borough.

You’ll also explore DUMBO, or Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass: a waterfront neighbourhood known for its cobblestone streets, art spaces, and famous pizza.

Free Time to Explore

The City of Dreams has always been a place where people forge their own paths, and with built-in free time, you’ll have the chance to write your own New York City story. Whether it’s shopping at legendary department stores, strolling through museums, or seeking out the best bagel around, explore the city your way.

Unpack Once and Discover NYC
