It was a fantastic trip.

This tour was exactly what we hoped it would be. Everything, the experiences, accommodations, included meals and experiences, were all wonderful, especially for our price range. We traveled across six countries and kept an ideal pace, accomplishing so much more than we could have done on our own. We especially loved seeing Trümmelbach Falls, and so many mountain waterfalls, some even viewable from our Swiss hotel room.

Too much free, unplanned time! Collette should offer more guidance on how to use all the free time. Peaks of Europe should have included visit to Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain which is close to town of Seefeld where there was a ‘free’ day. Or, they should suggest a visit to nearby Neuschwanstein Castle, famous all over the world.

The hike up to the chapel in the middle of the Dolomites was breathtaking. You felt like you were in the Sound of Music! I also loved the private tour of the alphorn workshop and then listening to him play one. So magical!

Our tour manager, Ivana, truly made this a trip to remember. On our first dinner together in Chamonix, she arranged for us to be serenaded by French entertainers at dinner. On our final transfer, Ivana went the extra mile in escorting the Venice group from the airport all the way to our hotel when she was officially off the clock. Ivana's attention to detail made this a smooth experience. In my note of gratitude to her on our final night, I told her she was like a mother duckling guiding her anxious chicks who fell in line behind her everywhere we went; she was an exceptional tour manager. Ivana carefully coordinated with local guides to book our tickets for the optimal 2-hour window for us to ascend the peaks of Mont Blanc. They timed our visit to conclude just as the clouds were obscuring the view for future tourists and climbers. Her daily emails recommending shops and restaurants were spot on---we would have been lost during our free time without her guidance. Her animated talks introducing us to the culture, history, and lifestyle of citizens in each country provided priceless context for each day ahead. Thanks for an unforgettable tour! I will definitely book future trips with Collette!

It was a fabulous family vacation. Our group included three generations. Each age group was pleased with the trip. The was enough free time for the youngest group to do their own activities and yet it suited the older ones too. Our tour guide was fabulous!

An amazing itinerary, and executed perfectly by our tour manager! I am still in awe! My favorite experience was going to the top of the Aiguille du Midi. Incredible! Highly recommend this tour!

The tour was spectacular with amazing scenery & great included excursions. Although I do think the opt. excursion which was wonderful should have been included. Our tour director was excellent - so personable & knowledgeable. She even handed out special treats that were local to the area. The only minor drawback was too much time spent in Montreau, France, but that is a small thing in the grand scheme of activities. There was a good balance of free time & scheduled activities. I can't imagine not enjoying this tour immensely.

Every aspect of this tour was amazing. Our tour guide Daniele Binaghi was excellent. Very knowledgeable, fun and informative. Hotels, food, and other accommodations were superb. Every stop was scenic and absolutely amazing. Our bus drivers were very safe, carefully navigating very challenging roads.

Seeing old friends and new sites. The destinations were beautiful.

Great tour. Collette always has great hotels, centrally located.. Only thing missing mountain wise was Zermatt and the Matterhorn and we easily added that on at the beginning.

We got Covid and had to leave early.

I really enjoyed the visit to the dairy in Switzerland and the water mill in Italy. The two moutain top visits, Mount Blanc and Jungfraujoch were incredible as well.

It was an incredibly beautiful itinerary. Some of the included activities were fabulous. The hotels were nice, the food was scrumptious and the company was excellent.

Unorganized and unknowledgeable tour manager. During our wine tasting the presenters spoke very poor English.

Our guide Lili was outstanding. Outings to Barry and Ladin were delightful. Good balance on trip between activities and free time. Local guides were very good

From the excellent hotels with views of the Alps, great shopping opportunities and great meals included as well as by our discovery, I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. I especially was impressed with Mauro Ciummo who was truly born to be a tour guide. He was personable, took time with everyone to get to know them and was generally very jolly and entertaining. There was time between sites to enjoy on our own which was well planned. It was difficult staying awake on the longer bus rides and although we all needed the rest, I wanted to keep my eyes on the beautiful views! Seeing fields of strange wildflowers, soaring peaks, oodles of giant snails feeding at the base of an Olympic ski jump, sheep and Great Pyrenees guarddogs outside our first room and cows being herded up the main street below another room with bells clanging...great memories. And the St Bernards were wonderful. We were very happy with British Airways also, except for the excessive charge to pick our seats. Nice trip.

Our Alpine trip was wonderful. We Love Collette and have a new favorite air carrier, British Airlines. Their food is as bad as anyone's but the planes and service are great. I had heard some less than positive comments about Brit Air, mostly that some of the employees can be surly, and while we did have a surly check-in agent at Venice's Marco Polo Airport, for the most part they were quite nice. We don't usually check bags when we fly because of lost bag problems in the past, we needed to this time because we needed heavier cold-weather clothing. This agent insisted (rather impolitely) that we check one of our 2 carry-ons, saying it was a full flight & there wouldn't be enough room. Upon boarding they announced that their planes now had expanded overhead compartments, and we then noticed there were many empty compartments. Unnecessary issue. BUT... baggage was handled perfectly and our checked bags in both directions, even through the flight transfers, went perfectly. I still don't like airports, but Brit Air's terminals do seem superior. We have traveled with Collette 7 times now and have been delighted every time with every aspect of travel with them. We had a little more free time on this trip, which we appreciated, and Mauro Ciummo was hands down the best tour manager we've had. And we've had some great ones. Give that man a raise! :) Collette is very efficient, any problems that come up are handled properly, efficiently and in a timely manner. On a previous trip our tour manager tripped on a curb in Amsterdam and had to be treated at a hospital, and there just happened to be another tour manager in the same train station who saw immediately that we were properly directed until our assigned tour manager was back on tour, bloodied but OK. Less so on our first Collette tour. Our manager was a bit of a disciplinarian and scolded one handicapped passenger for walking too slowly and making us late for one destination (we actually got there 20 minutes early... we happened to meet that passenger's son months later & she was apparently unphased) and Van got scolded for having to use the toilet after we “starred” in a play-like presentation at Bunratty Castle. Again we were not delayed because of that. But overall that tour was as excellent as any of the others. The limo service this time was very appreciated, although we did have a communication issue upon returning to Pittsburgh. My phone for some reason didn't send my confirmation that we were at the pick-up point, so the driver called us to be sure that we were there, much appreciated. However we got a text from (apparently) a different driver the next day who had seen the delayed text notice that we were waiting to be picked up and came to pick us up a day later. I don't know how that happened but it was, sadly, an unnecessary trip for them. We expected the latter parts of this tour to be anti-climactic after being so high in the Alps but that was not so. The entire tour was just wonderful. Again, though, much of that enjoyment was because Mauro was so wonderfully entertaining and well-informed. Big kudos to Mauro! While this was our first Collette tour without our friend Doug Oster and local gardeners, our group was very nice, and we did enjoy meeting people from all over our country. We hope to enjoy many more Collette tours, and along with the help of Travel Junction, hope to have a long future relationship.

The Alps, the Alps, the Alps! Loved Chamonix! Montreaux, Lucerne! Our tour manager was the best ever!

The tour was superb. Picking a favorite experience is hard...the St. Bernards at Barryland, the beautiful alpine vistas, the rural farm, the creamery, the Golden Pass rail trip...all fantastic!

Fantastic trip

All of the sites were memorable but especially all (3) of the gondala mountain excursions were amazing. Riding to the top of the mountain to the cheese facory and having lunch was also a favorite. Way too many memorable moments to mention but a trip to remember for sure

I loved the walking tour of Annecy. Our local tour guide Odile was so animated and interesting to listen to. The trip to the top of Mon Blanc was amazing I also loved visiting the Site Alp Cheese farm. We got a look at a working farm and daily life in Switzerland. Their cheese is outstanding! The Top of Europe! Wish we had more time to stay longer in the charm of Europe. We thorough enjoyed this trip. Our tour guide Mauro and driver Diego were the best! Well done Collette!!

Excellent chance to learn about and see as much of the Alps and Dolomites as is possible in 12 days. The tour guides teach about history and culture while on the bus. From France to Italy and everything in between, you’ll see, go, do and learn.

The Peaks of EuropeTour was amazing! We saw some of the most spectacular vistas in very beautiful countries. I love the small size of the Explorer group tours! This was my 4th Collette tour. It won't be my last.

Like traveling in a post card. The Alps are beautiful and seeing the world from the top of them is breath-taking.

My favorite part was the Impact Moments with tours of the farms, watching them make cheese and meals in the farm house. But the grandeur and splendor of the Alps and the Dolomites was breathtaking. I’ll take the small towns any day over the big cities. Strudel Fest was the very best with the food and local music.

Absolutely incredible trip! The trip of a lifetime. Stunning jaw-dropping beauty, quaint villages, phenomenal tour manager, the perfect amount of free time. Highly recommend!

The scenery was incredible and our tour director was the best we ever had. There was plenty of free time to explore on our own . Cinthya was always available and was a wealth of knowledge during the entire tour.

Your was excellent love having a knowledgeable guide and transportation that gets us to all sites. My favorite site was being in the Alps, breathtaking. The food experience was a treat to your palate.

What a wonderful trip! This trip activity level is rated 3 of 4 (strenuous) so be prepared for lots of walking and hiking, although it is ALL very doable. We loved being on the highest mountain peaks, our local guides were knowledgeable and fun, and the towns we visited were quintessential Alps. Our tour guide and driver were so engaging and fun. And our group of 22 couldn’t have been better. We all had a blast. Highly recommend!
