    Tour Rating:

I loved everything we experienced. The views were spectacular and we had plenty of time to explore or just sit and enjoy the views. I liked we had free time to catch lunch and shop while in Rapid City, Cody and Jackson Hole. We felt very safe on the bus with Rick driving and Eileen our guide was sweet, funny and gave us interesting background info on the places we visited. She is a gem!!! The only downside was having to start the day at 6 am and kept going until 8 pm. It was a bit too much for people our age for 8 days. Hated the 4 hour layover in Dallas. Terrible experience. Rude people, changed our gate 4 times in a short period of time. The hotels were all very comfortable and clean. The meals were fine. I don’t go for the food. We had a few very excellent dinners. Hotel breakfasts were fair. Won’t be eating scrambled eggs for a while!!

I would have a hard time choosing just one experience. The scenery was majestic and nothing like I had ever seen before. We waited in Memphis 8 hours before getting a flight to DFW. While we were waiting, a nonstop flight from Memphis to Denver, our final destination, took off. It would have been so nice if we had been booked on that nonstop!

This was a wonderful tour. Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly were amazing and thankfully it did not rain during those excursions. The jeep tours and Navajo guides were outstanding and informative. The lodging and meals on the Navajo Nation exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this tour.

The Islands of New England tour was a great experience, but what made it that way our tour guide Jean. One word WOW!!! Can't suggest any changes. For me the. Martha Vineyard day was changed due to rough water due to a Noreaster to some more of Cape Cod. That day turned out to one of my favorite and the stop at a cranberry farm and the hosts were the best. Leo and Andrea were so down to earth and were my kind of people.. We extended to Boston but too much free time for us but I am some people it would be OK.

Fantastic tour that allowed us to see more than any other tour researched. This tour included Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Salt Lake City, Yellowstone (including Old Faithful), Crazy Horse, Jackson Hole, and Mount Rushmore. We also took advantage of the white water rafting excursion and had a blast! We have memories to last a lifetime and can't recommend this tour enough! This tour was excellent. Our tour manager Bryan Mulvaney was the best we’ve ever had. His numerous power point presentations were very informative and he was knowledgeable about everything. For a long travel day, he included an excellent movie for our enjoyment. He was patient with all of us, and answered our questions, sometimes numerous times. Bryan made sure we were comfortable, gave us options, and seemed to enjoy the places we visited as much as we did. There were so many memorable moments during the trip, places we visited, eateries. activities, and friendships we made. My favorite places were the Grand Canyon, Bryce, Old Faithful, and Mount Rushmore.

    United States Travel FAQs

Some of the top places to visit in the U.S. include the national parks, New York City, Hawaii, and Alaska. From the natural beauty of iconic parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, to the energy of New York City, the tropical landscapes of Hawaii, and the rugged wilderness of Alaska — these destinations consistently rank as traveler favorites.

Collette’s USA tours are very senior-friendly. With a range of activity levels from 1 to 4, travelers can choose tours with a pace that best matches their comfort, mobility, and interests. Whether you’re looking for a more relaxed experience or something a bit more active, we have tours designed to fit your travel style.

Collette’s USA tours are a great option for solo travelers. Many guests travel on their own, and our guided tours provide a safe, social, and stress-free way to explore. It’s also an ideal choice for first-time solo travelers who want to gain confidence traveling domestically before venturing abroad.

The parks can be visited in all four seasons. Shoulder season — spring (March - May) and fall (September - November) — is typically the best time to visit U.S. national parks, offering a great balance of mild weather and more manageable crowds. Summer is peak season, bringing warmer temperatures, fully open parks, and more visitors. Winter provides a completely different experience, with fewer crowds, lower prices, and the chance to see parks transformed by snow — though some areas may have limited access.

You can absolutely take a themed tour in the U.S. We offer a variety of tours designed around unique interests and experiences. From festive holiday tours and fall foliage journeys like Colors of New England, to scenic Alaska cruises and city stays in destinations like New York City and Washington, D.C. — there’s something for every travel interest.
