Africa Guided Tours

I loved this trip, it was the trip of a lifetime for me. It was so incredibly beautiful it was almost spiritual. The opportunity to see these animals with my own eyes was something I will never forget! Penya (at Ivory Tree), was my safari guide and his information was invaluable. Being immersed into the culture by having dinner with two families was extraordinary! As far as accommodations I enjoyed Ivory Tree Game Lodge best. Very nice stay and it was nice to choose meals off a menu. I did tire of cafeteria style food of other places we stayed. Our tour director seemed more into the history and teaching us though. There were times I just wanted him to be quiet, or talk more about the present than the past. Victoria Falls was more amazing than I could even imagine. Loved seeing the penquins of course, but spotting a leopard and her cub was a highlight for all of us! I loved seeing all the recycling in the art that made everywhere you turned. Table mountain - wow! This senior citizen even paraglided off Signal Mountain! I had my life’s first massage also on this trip. The group of people that traveled from Pittsburgh were a pearl on this trip. I left with 18 new friends. I’m not even a birder, and I was fascinated by all the beautiful birds all around, all the colors of the rainbow! There is nothing that can be done about all the visa checks, passport checks, and plane trips but it did get tiresome being in so many airport lines. Only thing I would have done differently would have been to pack a few more smart casual outfits. I packed mostly safari clothes, and the last few days in Capetown left me wearing some of my safari outfits another time. Thank you for providing me with an easy way to travel with a group of people and navigating all of the travel with none of the worries!

Overall wonderful experience Victoria Falls and Botswana were my favorite sites Pilanesberg was scenic but the experience was less representative of Africa than the other two sites Ending in Capetown and the excursions there was excellent

The tour manager was the best. He shared both history and current events. He paced the days well. He was proud of his country, and also honest about the shortfalls.

This was a perfect trip to explore all of Morocco! The tour guide was top notch and shared his vast knowledge and love of his beautiful country in a way that was engaging and informative without seeming overly scholarly. I would highly recommend this adventure!

I loved all of the Game Drives. The drivers were very knowledgeable. Victoria Falls was great too. The hotels were so nice. Very clean and luxurious. Food was plentiful and so delicious.

Everything was great! Loved it all! I especially liked the accommodations and the game drives.

I thought the trip was amazing. I can not give just one memorable experience.

The opportunity to go on safari and see the animals in there natural habitat was exciting. The inclusion of visits to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Rothschild Giraffe Center, the Kazuri Beads factory and the Shanga jewelry shop were also great. And finally, the chance to interact with some of the local tribes was very rewarding and meaningful. The opportunity to learn a bit about the area and culture really made the trip!

Seeing all the animals was amazing. Our tour guide was always prepared and knowledgeable. The accommodations were fantastic. I was experiencing a health issue and appreciate the special care I was given.

Rahima Adams, our tour manager, saw that our entire experience was memorable. She kept us aware of scheduled events. Her knowledge of South Africa’s terrain, culture and people keyed our anticipation as we moved about day by day. The trail drives were the highlight of the trip. The way our tour group bonded through our experience was memorable. We made new friends.

The tour was well done and superbly organized by Rahimah, our tour manager. The home lunch could have been eliminated, but the home dinner was superb. Victoria Falls was amazing.

First, the people - our Collette tour guide, the staff at our lodgings, the safari guides, our local guides,... everyone with whom we interacted was top notch, knowledgeable and accommodating. The sleeping arrangements, dining, and amenities were as good or better than any other tour I have taken. Second, the animals and the scenery. Going to Africa, I wanted to see the wildlife. This tour did not disappoint. We saw all the big five, and close up. Plus, many, many more. It was a fantastic adventure.

Collette went above and beyond for my CalCo Travel group. Assisted with the evacuation from Egypt. We hated to leave but the customers knew that it was for their own good.

The tour we were able to experience was excellent. We were, however sent home after 4 days due to the war in Iran. We were not able to complete the Nile cruise which was disappointing, however we understand Collette just wanted is to be safe. They made all the changed accommodations for us seemlessly.

I enjoyed this trip very much. The safaris were excellent and exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were also excellent. We saw the big 5. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent tour. Pre-excursion/tour portion was AWESOME! Tour manager and guides were excellent. Since I was very disappointed with the local guides for our Collette Southeast Asia tour, this was redemption for the excellent local guides Collette secured. All their impact, special moments were excellent. Some of the hotels were disappointing (mainly due to their location). Would not recommend visiting during Ramadan as you miss some of the normalcy of Morocco.
