This was an exceptional tour in Morocco that really connected us to the culture and history of this beautiful country. Our tour leader, Nabil, was excellent and made the experience fun and enriching. The pre-tour to Chefchaouen and Tangier was a real highlight, the North of Morocco should not be missed. And of course the desert was amazing, loved the 4WD vehicles, the desert camp, even the camel ride! A true highlight was tea with a Nomad family at their now-permanent home in what seemed to be the middle of the desert. The tour was full of special cultural moments that would have been difficult, if not impossible, to arrange independently.

My favorite experiences were the eight safaris and seeing ALL the BIG FIVE and the UGLY FIVE and LOTS more animals than I anticipated. The accommodations were AWESOME and my favorite was The Wallow Lodge in the Glamping Tent right on the Zambezi River. The weather was absolutely perfect in November. Dubai was AMAZING and I'm SO glad that we added that as a per-extension to this trip.

Everything about the tour was outstanding, from accommodations to the game drives. Overall, our tour manager - Tyce DeWet - made the trip. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and always made everything we did run smoothly and efficiently. I’ve taken other guided tours and he was, hands down, the Very Best tour guide/manager I have ever encountered. Any potential issue during the tour was managed and resolved expertly and seamlessly.

The tour was amazing. The most memorable experience was the tented camp, with Elephants drinking from the pool. Monkeys everywhere and being able to look out the doors and see wildlife all around.

Coelette did a fantastic job making my dreams come true. The safaris were excellent and so much fun!!! I recommend the Cape Town extension and tour or the peninsula. Small group let us all get to know each other which enhanced the experience. I can't say enough about how amazing Thuka and Shuie, our guides, were. They made this trip unforgettable!

Dubai pre tour was fabulous.Grest guides and accommodations.Travel by Emirates Business Class was incredible.Tour guide and accommodations were excellent.The Tlou Lodge in Chobe was only fair though this was out of Collette control due to fire at usual place.All other tours guides and add one were incredible. game drives and sunset river rides were fantastic .Air travels in Africa were smooth.Cape town and wine regions were excellent.We also enjoyed our 2 day extra stay in Cape Town at the end .Overall the bucket list trip was fully realized.

Alfred was our tour guide, and I can't explain how wonderful he made our trip! Along with our driver, Alphonso, we were guided on an amazing epic adventure. They are both very knowledgeable, professional, and FUN!!!

This trip was amazing! We did so many things and saw so many animals that I never thought we would see in the wild. All the safaris whether it was on land or river, were incredible. Different every time we went out. The lodging was all 5 star except the Tlou Lodge, but it was clean and they tried their best. Just not equipped for groups, but couldn't be helped because of the fire at the original place we were to stay. So this was a last minute substitute. The second half of our tour which was wine country, Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope was a nice balance to the time in the outback. We loved Cape Town. Overall it was a great trip. Highly recommend. We were sad to come home.

The best time depends on the region and activities. North Africa is ideal in spring (April–June) and autumn, avoiding extreme heat and cold. East Africa is best from September to January for coastal activities and July or October for the Great Migration. Southern Africa offers great travel conditions from November to March, perfect for city exploration and safaris.
Routine vaccines like MMR, polio, and hepatitis A & B are recommended. Yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into certain countries. Other recommended vaccines include typhoid, rabies, meningococcal disease, and cholera, depending on your destination.
Africa has many safe destinations, especially for group tours, which offer structured itineraries and local expertise. Research destinations, follow local advice, and opt for reputable tour operators for a secure experience.
Visa requirements vary by country. South Africa, Botswana, and Morocco allow visa-free entry for U.S. travellers for up to 90 days. Other countries, like Egypt, require a visa on arrival or e-visa. Always check specific entry requirements before travelling.
Pack light, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and sun protection. Essentials include a filtered water bottle, mosquito repellent, and a neck wallet for valuables. Camouflage patterns should be avoided as only the military wear this. Research local customs to dress appropriately.
