Collette Cares is thrilled to announce the launch of our 1 Million Meals Campaign, a new global hunger initiative. Through volunteering, global projects and three strategic, new partnerships, we will provide 1 million meals to those in need throughout the world by 2018, the 100th anniversary of Collette.

This month, we officially kick off #1millionmeals with a meal packaging event with our lead partner, Stop Hunger Now. 240 volunteers will roll their sleeves up to create 30,000 meals in one afternoon! July 18 is Founder’s Day at Collette and each year, Collette celebrates this occasion by giving back in our local communities for a week. This year, employees are more engaged than ever and doing their part to be a part of the solution to end world hunger.

In addition to Stop Hunger Now, Collette Cares is partnering with No Kid Hungry and Edesia to give meals as part of this campaign. Volunteering will play a huge role as well in reaching our goal of 1 million meals by 2018. Throughout each year, employees volunteer their time at soup kitchens and food banks in Rhode Island, Canada, the UK and Australia, where we have offices. Their time and effort will now take on new meaning as we begin to measure that impact in terms of meals provided – so that every employee has the opportunity to be a part of this incredible outcome. Additionally, in long-running global projects in countries like Peru, South Africa, Cambodia and India, our support funds meal programs which incentivizes children to stay in school, and nourishes them so that they can learn.

This campaign truly unites our global employee body. Driven by volunteering and employee involvement, together we plan to celebrate 100 years of Collette in a way that celebrates one of our strongest values: giving back to the world that gives us so much.
