I could have done the sled dog ride all day. Loved that! So many great experiences, and finally got to see the Northern Lights! Loved Aurora Point, what a class act. Wish we had been able to do more shopping in the towns instead of at large chain stores, wish flight above Arctic Circle went to Barrow instead of Coldfoot, would have loved to have visited the hot springs. Best accommodations was Talkeetna Lodge, best food was in Anchorage. Best optional trip was the flight over Denali. Loved any local history, and the train ride was restful. Had a great bus driver. Wasn't very pleased that the tour guide told us about how the ratings work, but you really do need a 1-10 scale as your current method of rating doesn't do him justice.

Enjoyed the acrtic circle excursion and dog sledding. I would have liked more time on the sleds. It would have been nice to go to the hot springs when in Fairbanks. Fairbanks had an excellent ice sculpture exhibit. The museums were interesting.Linda Napholz

Everything went really well with no major issues. Our Tour Guide and Tour Manager were both EXCELLENT. Tour Guide was always with us and making sure we had no problems. Our Tour Manager had a GREAT PERSONALITY and made sure everyone knew exactly what was going on for the day and next. Always sent us information of the events coming up so we all knew about the events and the background of the events. Very informative and educational experience. Favorites were the Glacier cruise, Northern Lights and Dog Sled.

Every day brought a new experience - from the cruise to the glaciers to the dog sled ride, to an international ice sculpting show, and of course the Northern Lights! The train ride to Fairbanks, while quite long, was wonderful with the incredible views with a guided tour by the train conductor then the added surprise of author illustrator, Shannon Cartwright, jumping on the train to sign and sell her beautiful works. We also added in the plane ride through Denali National Park that was breathtaking. I can’t say enough how wonderful this bucket list trip was!Judy Sears

Seeing Alaska for the first time there was a lot to see. Our tour manager was great!! told us a lot of Alaska history and kept everyone pre-paired for daily events. Two most memorable was seeing the Aurora at Fairbanks and boat ride to see Glaciers at Whittier.

We were not able to see the Northern Lights but the rest of the tour was exciting. We loved the dogsled ride and our flight to the Arctic circle. Our tour guide, Todd was excellent and so was our bus driver. Food and accommodations need improvement.Jean Magarelli

The tour was wonderful, so many great things were included. Not only did we see Mt McKinley in its entirety, but we saw the Northern Lights on multiple nights. The dog sled run was amazing, as was the tram ride up to Mt Alyeska, seeing the International Ice Carving Championship, Alaska Conservation Center, the Musk Ox Farm and riding the Alaska train. Our tour director, Kathy Fil, was phenomenal! She really made the trip. She was so knowledgeable and shared her love of Alaska with all of us. I'm home several weeks now but still raving about the fantastic trip I had to Alaska!

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. One exception, the weather did not cooperate. We spent too much time trying to see the northern lights in a remote location from 10pm to 2am two days in a row in Fairbanks. Many of us saw the lights by our hotel which was more comfortable. Other than that it was great. Some of the highlights was a plane excursion seeing the mountains in Denali National Park and fyling to Coldfoot in the Arctic Circle. We had a great driver and tour director that had personal experience living in Alaska. I personally would have liked to have a couple of hours to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Our Norther Lights tour was exceptional. Some experiences depend on luck or the weather. Our luck was good and so our boat ride in Prince Williams sound was calm and beautiful, my husband's description was peaceful. We saw bald eagles, and sea otters. From the bus and the train we saw a flock of ptarmigans and many, many moose. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights twice, which was my most memorable experience. Our tour guide Kathy Fil was the best. Our group was able to visit the Iditarod Museum on a day they were 'closed' because Kathy's network of connections in Alaska included the museum's manger.Rose

I enjoyed every minute of this tour! Merrin was one of the best tour guides I have had the pleasure of meeting on my Collette tours. I took so many pictures I need to cull them before putting them in an album. My reason for going was to see the Northern Lights and we had a spectacular night of them. Just amazing. But then so was the ride in a dogsled—and meeting a musk ox—and flying over frozen rivers and mountains to Coldfoot and eating a sandwich where those ice truckers eat. Two things to note. We arranged for winter gear rental through the recommended company. They sent the wrong size gear. This also happened to others in our group. The tour manager was able to work it out for us, but not for others. Very disappointing due to the high cost of renting the gear. Also, we priced airfare independently and then got a quote from Collette. It was the identical flights and Collette's price was nearly double what the airline was charging. Also, beware if you make your own airline arrangements and order the transfers from the airport. One of the hotels provides a free shuttle. Uber/Lyft/taxi are a much better deal. It was a good tour with a fun group with a good itinerary, but keep your eyes on the extras if you are price-conscious.

I went to see the Northern Lights and they did put on a show. Also took the optional to Arctic Circle and it was a wonderful trip. Weather was fantastic while I was there which made the trip most enjoyable.

We enjoyed the whole experience from beginning to end. The only part was train ride seems too long because after dark you can’t see anything. And the last museum at the University is not necessary. The tour itself is a five but I didn't like Alaska Airlines. No tv screen on back of seats plus I put in for aisle seating. While I got them on the return trip, I was in the middle seat going. Luckily for me no one sat in the aisle seat on the first leg so I was able to move over.Adam Tuchman

This was the most incredible trip that I have ever taken. It was my first group tour and I was apprehensive but everyone was so friendly. We saw the most amazing things along the way: beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife, friendly locals., and the Arctic Circle. Our tour guide, Ann, kept us informed as to what we were seeing. I would love to do a tour with her again. And I definitely will return to Alaska!

Very enjoyable. Had a great tour manager. Seeing the northern lights and dog sledding were definitely the highlights of the trip. The cruise on Prince William Sound, in the snow, was a beautiful experience. The train trip between Fairbanks and Talkeetna had beautiful scenery but was a little long. This is the 3rd trip we've taken with Collette and probably my favorite.

My guide and my bus driver were both super nice and knowledgeable. I had been waiting for an adventure like this all my life and traveling with collette made the whole thing very seamless. Didn't get to see Denali or fly over it. Some breakfasts were not up to par. Probably Covid19 effects related. Meal in Anchorage was at a chain restaurant. No obvious local meats served except at forst hotel for breakfast. Gravy with reindeer meat.
