The tour guide was great. The scheduled tours and free time were the perfect mix. Only downsides were the car pick up from the Paris airport was a mess and we were told we would get an unlimited Metro pass but didn't. But the dinner inside the Eifel tower was so memorable and beautiful and something I will never forget!Katherine La Calamita

The length of the tour misrepresented in the add. I don’t consider a day of the tour starting when my flight is at 6 p.m. and you consider that a day. Also, last day of tour was get up at 6 am and head to airport. Transportation to and from excursions was via subway, most days. Not. Collette’s usual high quality transportation we have come to enjoy with Collette. Some excursions were extra. Felt for the cost of the tour they should have been included. It makes me question going with Collette in the future. Will also be evaluating the value of future tours with Collette. My friend and I have enjoyed past Colette tours because we felt that even thou the cost was higher the quality and value was there. This tour did not live up to the same quality,

The tours were exceptional. The Tour Conductor was great. She knew I had a hard time walking and she held my hand so I wouldn't get lost. Ida has a good heart, It's not just a job for her. Trip was fun. Last night was suppose to have a special dinner on the river. The dinner reservation was for the wrong time. We were taken to a regular restaurant and only offered fish or duck, of which I eat neither. Last night was a disappointment. That day, we were taken on a subway in which 2 fellow travelers were pick pocketed. I think Collette should arrange transportation other than the subway on busy days. The guide did remind us each day for the chance of pick pocketing.

the tours had us walk around neighborhoods where there were no toilets available. I don't mind walking a lot but I do mind not being able to use a restroom when I need to. neighborhood tour guide seem oblivious. I think touring a neighborhood is a really bad idea.

Nice variety of what we did with the chores and saw all the main attractions like the Eiffel Tower and Versailles. We were there just for six days so it was the perfect length of time for us with plenty of time for us to do what we wanted to do on our own. Visited the champagne Valley on a an Excursion and it was well worth it.

My favorite place was Versailles, Montmatre, and La Mairee. I loved seeing the Jewish district as well. It was wonderful going to the Louvre and dinner at the Eiffel Tower. In our extra time I saw Museum D'Orsay that was great!

I had previously had taken a "Spotlight Tour to South Dakota" which was good. There was TOO much free time with very little direction from the tour guide., of course, the rating was a 2 so I just didn't realize what a 2 was!!! The welcome and farewell dinner and show were fantastic just everything in between was self motivated which did include Versailles, on my own, the Louvre, on my own, the Eiffell Tower to the top, on my own, Arc de Triumph, on my own, etc.Gloria

I thought that a 5 day tour would not even come close to being enough time in Paris; but I was wrong. We started the tour with a remarkable supper in the Eiffel Tower; followed by a cruise down the Siene River. The scenery and history is phenomenal and just as you are returning to the dock; it is 9pm and the Eiffel Tower puts on a light show! Our Tour Manager, Evan, was the most delightful and helpful person. On two occasions, he found a way to give us time and fulfill our request to stop at the Trocadero for photos, as well as gave us time to go inside Notre Dame Cathedral. I can't say how happy I am to have taken this tour. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the Paradis Latin Cabaret show on the last night. Great costumes, but it is a song, dance, show breasts and voila - done. Next song, same thing, and repeat for the night. The aerial show and juggler are old carnival men that probably started when the Paradis opened. But...as it is booked for the farewell dinner, there is no way to avoid this event.Catherine

The Hotel room we had was in bad state of repair. Paint peeling off the walls, Mold in the bathroom. Also, the tour manager was very good up to the last day when a group going on the bus to the airport. The driver was waiting on the Tour manager to give the go ahead and the tour manager was no where to be found. Luckily one of the people on the bus had the managers phone number. His excuse was that someone was very ill. Well the ill person was going nowhere but the people on the bus had to get to the Airport to get through security and get to their flights. Priority is key in these situations.Gary

The hotel while very nice, was undergoing renovations, which rendered the rooms unusable during the time that construction crews were working. This was especially hard after an overnight flight, sightseeing and discovering on return to the hotel that construction would continue for another three hours. On a positive note, our room was very nice, the staff was very helpful and the location very good.

All the tours and activities were very good except for the Paradis Latin. The food was terrible. My steak was a hockey puck. But more importantly, the seating arrangements were very dangerous. People were packed in like sardines! Where I sat, I would not be able to get out if there had been a fire. The back of my chair was right up against the person's sitting behind me. To leave the building, we had to push the tables away from ourselves in order to stand up and get out. In the USA this situation would not have been allowed.Mary

Our guide was truly great. She was always on time , accommodated each and every person and kept things flowing even if she ran into challenges. Before reaching our destinations she would give us instructions and stories about the next stop. She truly made the difference between using a touring company or going it alone. The dinner choices were fabulous on atmosphere, although the food was mediocre. The cabaret was a great was to end the tour!

As an Angeleno who is spoiled by Southern California's sunny weather, I finally experienced winter--it was cold and chilly in Paris! I wouldn't of wanted it any other way in March--no crowds, friendly Parisians, and food/shopping galore. I enjoyed our night club tour, the friendly hotel staff, and our tour leader. Despite the fact that I was sick (heat stroke in Paris heat wave) and missed much of the tour, I have many happy memories. Daniel was a terrific guide, always going the extra mile to ensure the group’s wellbeing and happiness, and Valerie was adorable. My favorite memories were seeing Notre Dame all cleaned up and standing proud, as well as Sacre Coeur and Montmartre.

Each excursion was so memorable. I enjoyed also the friendliness and camaraderie of the group. I only knew 1 person at the beginning of the trip but met many nice people I hoped to see again on another trip. The hotel was nice. I didn't like the fact that they do not put their A/C on until later in the year. I would have liked it a little cooler. Great guides and meals. Learned a lot about French history and art. Tour director JP gave an excellent talk about Monet’s life and art on our bus ride to Giverny. The guide when we went to the Louvre was very interesting and informative. The guide through the Jewish quarter very good. I enjoyed learning to use the Metro. Our tour director JP gave wonderful insights about the neighborhoods and great suggestions about whatever to do and visit. Really nice hotel and good location. And the guides, staff and people in general were very kind and helpful. The dinner cruise down the Seine was lovely.

We had a fantastic time. We loved the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. Every part of the tour was enjoyable, except for the rainy weather. Aside from that we made the most of it and our tour guides really helped us to see everything we wanted to see, the most enjoyable way. Everything that we had wanted to see in Paris we were able to see it was all very delightful. We particularly enjoyed the final night with the river cruise on the Seine Fantastic time! We felt that we had plenty of time on our own to do the things we wanted to do and explore the city at our leisure. We felt the spotlight tour exceeded our expectations and helped us to really see the way we wanted to see it with the help of some knowledgeable Tour guides. By the way, for those people who say that it was too much walking or they walk too fast. I feel people need to pay attention that this was a level four “active“ tour. Some people on our tour felt we were moving too quickly or walking too much. Maybe it just wasn’t the right tour for them. We loved it and thought it was just right.Denise Murphy

The hotel and foods were very good. Our tour manager, Petra, is also knowlegable and funny. I have 2 suggestions: 1) Colette should definitely give us more definite detail day to day schedule ahead at least 1-2 weeks or more before tour begins. This way we can arrange for the outside tour for our free time. 2)Collette also should book the show that is iconic for Paris like Moulin Rouge instead of other company show. Even it is quite good but a lot of us may have a chance to go to Paris once so why not go to the best show even we have to pay more. 3) Give us a list of famous and good restaurants in Paris , Thanks .Sudjai Itsara

Loved dinner at the Eifle Tower. Excursion to Mount Marc was disappointing. Wasted time at a shop waiting for the owner to wait on us. She couldn't have cared less. Tour guide did not give us ample time to shop or point out interesting sights. Movies were filmed there and he did not point this out.Trusted Customer

Nice variety of what we did with the chores and saw all the main attractions like the Eiffel Tower and Versailles. We were there just for six days so it was the perfect length of time for us with plenty of time for us to do what we wanted to do on our own. Visited the champagne Valley on a an Excursion and it was well worth it.

My favorite place was Versailles, Montmatre, and La Mairee. I loved seeing the Jewish district as well. It was wonderful going to the Louvre and dinner at the Eiffel Tower. In our extra time I saw Museum D'Orsay that was great!

Our guide was truly great. She was always on time , accommodated each and every person and kept things flowing even if she ran into challenges. Before reaching our destinations she would give us instructions and stories about the next stop. She truly made the difference between using a touring company or going it alone. The dinner choices were fabulous on atmosphere, although the food was mediocre. The cabaret was a great was to end the tour!

I had previously had taken a "Spotlight Tour to South Dakota" which was good. There was TOO much free time with very little direction from the tour guide., of course, the rating was a 2 so I just didn't realize what a 2 was!!! The welcome and farewell dinner and show were fantastic just everything in between was self motivated which did include Versailles, on my own, the Louvre, on my own, the Eiffell Tower to the top, on my own, Arc de Triumph, on my own, etc.Trusted Customer

I thought that a 5 day tour would not even come close to being enough time in Paris; but I was wrong. We started the tour with a remarkable supper in the Eiffel Tower; followed by a cruise down the Siene River. The scenery and history is phenomenal and just as you are returning to the dock; it is 9pm and the Eiffel Tower puts on a light show! Our Tour Manager, Evan, was the most delightful and helpful person. On two occasions, he found a way to give us time and fulfill our request to stop at the Trocadero for photos, as well as gave us time to go inside Notre Dame Cathedral. I can't say how happy I am to have taken this tour. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the Paradis Latin Cabaret show on the last night. Great costumes, but it is a song, dance, show breasts and voila - done. Next song, same thing, and repeat for the night. The aerial show and juggler are old carnival men that probably started when the Paradis opened. But...as it is booked for the farewell dinner, there is no way to avoid this event.Catherine

The Hotel room we had was in bad state of repair. Paint peeling off the walls, Mold in the bathroom. Also, the tour manager was very good up to the last day when a group going on the bus to the airport. The driver was waiting on the Tour manager to give the go ahead and the tour manager was no where to be found. Luckily one of the people on the bus had the managers phone number. His excuse was that someone was very ill. Well the ill person was going nowhere but the people on the bus had to get to the Airport to get through security and get to their flights. The hotel while very nice, was undergoing renovations, which rendered the rooms unusable during the time that construction crews were working. This was especially hard after an overnight flight, sightseeing and discovering on return to the hotel that construction would continue for another three hours. On a positive note, our room was very nice, the staff was very helpful and the location very good.

All the tours and activities were very good except for the Paradis Latin. The food was terrible. My steak was a hockey puck. But more importantly, the seating arrangements were very dangerous. People were packed in like sardines! Where I sat, I would not be able to get out if there had been a fire. The back of my chair was right up against the person's sitting behind me. To leave the building, we had to push the tables away from ourselves in order to stand up and get out. In the USA this situation would not have been allowed.Trusted Customer

As an Angeleno who is spoiled by Southern California's sunny weather, I finally experienced winter--it was cold and chilly in Paris! I wouldn't of wanted it any other way in March--no crowds, friendly Parisians, and food/shopping galore. I enjoyed our night club tour, the friendly hotel staff, and our tour leader.
